Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze income differences between farmers pumping system with rainfed rice farm   then analysis factor affecting the income of rice farmers in the pumping system with the system of rainfed rice farmers. The method that was used for farmers is purposive sampling.  Data analysis method is used average on different test methods (compare means) by using independent sample t-test with two different irrigation systems, analyzed income, analyze profit and linear regression. The results showed that there were no significant income differences between income differences between farming   pumping system with rainfed rice farm. In this study the factors that influencethe income of rice farmers in the pumping system in Pematang Johor Village Labuhan Deli District Deli Serdang District significantly affect the income of rice farmers are labor costs, is the costs of pesticides and the costs of fertilizer. And to factors that influence the income of rice farmers in the system of rainfed rice farmers in Pematang Johor Village Labuhan Deli District Deli Serdang District significantly affect the income of rice farmers are costs of fertilizer. While the non significant labor costs, and the costs of pesticides.

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the use of Trichoderma sp. to control shallots tuber (Allium ascalonicum L.). The research was conducted at Growth Center, Jl. Peradilan Tata Usaha Negara No. 1 Kenangan Baru, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, 25 meters above sea level (asl). The design used was a factorial randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 2 factors, namely the factors of administration of Trichoderma sp. Consists of 5 levels, namely: T0: Control (without Trichoderma sp.), T1: 10 g Trichoderma sp./polybag, T2: 20 g Trichoderma sp./polybag, T3: 30 g Trichoderma sp./polybag, T4: 40 g Trichoderma sp./polybag. and time of giving Trichoderma sp. Consists 2 levels, namely: W1: Trichoderma sp. given 1 week before planting, and W2: 1 week after planting with 10 treatments combination. Observations included plant height (cm), number of leaves per clump (strands), number of tillers per clump (tuber), tuber wet weight per sample (g), tuber dry weight per sample (g), and the percentage of tuber rot attack. The results showed that: 1). The use of Trichoderma sp. with various doses (T0, T1, T2, T3, and T4) significant effect on plant height but no effect on observed other. While application time of Trichoderma sp. 1 week after planting (W2) showed a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers. also significantly affected wet weight, dry weight, and the percentage of tuber rot attack. 2). The combination of the two treatment factors had no significant effect on all observed parameters.

Abstract

Coffee (Coffea spp) is mostly useful as a beverage is not foreign not only for the nation of Indonesia, but also for various nations in the world. One way to increase yields and extend the life of coffee plants is by pruning. From the results of this pruning of course produces quite a lot of leaves are wasted, so it takes science and technology cultivation of coffee plants by utilizing the coffee leaves. In this study will discuss about the Study of Coffee Plant Propagation (Coffea spp) With Leaf Cut. The research was conducted in March - June 2011 in Galang Suka Village, Galang Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency. This research was conducted by Randomized Complete Design (RAL) Factorial with two factors. The first factor is a coffee leaf (D) consisting of two levels of treatment. D1 = The base of the leaf without the petiole, D2 = Leaf tip. The second factor is Nutrition (N) which consists of six levels of treatment. N0 = Rotone-F 200 mg / l, N3 = Growtone 200 mg / l, N4 = Growtone 300 mg / l, N5 = Dekamon 2 cc / 10 liters. From the results of the study it can be concluded that leaf tip (D2) cuttings given Growtone 200 mg / l (N3D2) survive until the end of the study, as well as leaf tip (D2) cuttings given Dekamon 2cc / 10 l (N5D2) although the numbers are only 1.23 and 1.06 and N3D2 is better than N5D2.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of different concentrations of liquid fertilizer with hydroponic planting media on kale production. The research method used was Randomized Completely Factorial Design with 2 factors: POC cocoa skin and cocoa poc added with cow dung. This study consisted of 16 treatment combinations each repeated 2 times. So there are 32 units of the whole experiment. Parameters observed include: percentage of growth, plant height, number of leaves (leaf), leaf area (), measuring leaf color, wet weight of harvest, wet weighted weighing, root length measurement. Based on the results of research that has been carried out can be concluded as follows: Provision of liquid organic fertilizer from cocoa leather and organic fertilizer liquid cow dung on the growth and production of kale plants showed unequal generative growth. The dosage of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) given by kangkung plantation has no effect on the increase of observed parameters from plant height, leaf number, leaf color, leaf area, and wet weight of the plant. Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to know the yellow melon’s marketing channel and the efficiency of the yellow melon marketing channel in Pantai Labu District. This research is a descriptive qualitative and quantitative research. Determination of research units for yellow melon farmers using the census method, while the sample for traders using the snow ball sampling method, and consumer samples using the incidental sampling method. The results showed that there was only one channel formed in the marketing of yellow melon in Pantai Labu District, that us from farmers to collectors, then to wholesalers, retailers, and finally to consumers. In this marketing, the market divides the qualities of melons into three grades of gimbo, bs, and super. The most efficient yellow melon market is super grade yellow melon with the lowest marketing margin value of 10%, farmer's share value of 70%, and the profit to marketing cost ratio value of 17> 0 or Rp 17, - so the yellow melon marketing channel is efficient.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui saluran pemasaran okra serta bagaimana efisiensi saluran pemasaran okra di Kecamatan Medan Kota. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah secara Purposive (Sengaja). Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 24. Berdasarkan prasurvey yang dilakukan terdapat 2 pasar modern, yaitu Pasar Berastagi dan Transmart Carefour yang menjual okra, maka diambil masing-masing pengumpul dari 2 pasar modern tersebut, dan 2 konsumen dari pasar tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah Snowball Sampling serta metode perhitungan Microsoft Excel. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder dan data primer. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan April sampai dengan Mei 2018. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa saluran pemasaran okra di Kecamatan Medan Kota mulai dari petani→pedagang pengumpul→pedagang pengecer→konsumen okra, Saluran pemasaran okra yang berada di Kecamatan Medan Kota, Kota Medan,ditingkat lembaga pemasaran pedagang pengumpul dan pedagang pengecer efisien. Pada pasar tradisional yang lebih efisien ditingkat pedagang pengecer sebesar 3,07 %. Sedangkan untuk pasar modern saluran pemasaran yang lebih efisien terdapat pada pedagang pengecer dengan tingkat efisien sebesar 0,27%.

Abstract

Juli Tani Group is a farmer group that received the cluster program from Bank Indonesia of Sumatera Utara for the red chili commodity. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Bank Indonesia Cluster Program on the income level of chili farmers in the Juli Tani Group in Sidodadi Village, Beringin District, Deli Serdang Regency. The data used are primary data obtained directly from the sample of red chili farmers in Juli Tani Group using a questionnaire. Determination of the sample in this study using the Slovin method with a total sample of 52 respondents. Analysis of the data used in this research were (1) Analysis of the Effectiveness of the Cluster Program (2) Analysis of farm business income, to determine whether farming is profitable or not economically, the researcher uses Revenue Cost Ratio (R / C Ratio) then (3) uses non-statistical parametric with the Spearman Rank correlation test. Based on the research results, it was known that the Bank Indonesia cluster program is very effective in increasing the income of chili farmers in the Juli Tani Group in Sidodadi Village, Beringin District, Deli Serdang Regency with an average farmer income of Rp 117,404,895 per growing season.

Abstract

Tembakau merupakan tanaman ekspor yang memberikan pendapatan bagi petani dan negara merupakan instrumen yang sangat penting dalam kebijakan moneter serta ekonomi banyak negara Di Indonesia, selama lebih satu abad, tembakau, terutama tembakau cerutu telah diproduksi di tiga pusat produksi, yakni tembakau deli (di sekitar Medan, Sumatera Utara), tembakau vorstenland di sekitar Klaten di bekas kerajaan (Vorstenlanden) Surakarta dan Yogyakarta di Jawa Tengah, dan tembakau besuki (di sekitar Jember) Jawa Timur . Salah satu kendala dalam budidaya tembakau cerutu adalah penyakit patik yang disebabkan oleh Cercospora nicotianae Ell. et Evn adanya patik pada tembakau cerutu akan menurunkan mutu keberadaannya dipengaruhi oleh factor cuaca. Daun tembakau pembalut cerutu haruslah benar-benar berkualitas, tidak terdapat bercak-bercak, tidak berlubang, warna merata, seragam, tipis, dan elastis, untuk perlu dibahas strategi penentuan waktu tanam untuk menghasilkan daun tembakau yang berkualitas.
