Abstract

This study examines the influence of financial literacy and consumptive behavior on the personal financial management of students at STIE AMM Mataram. Using a quantitative causal-associative approach, the research surveyed 151 respondents selected from a population of 242 students through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed with multiple linear regression. The results show that financial literacy does not have a significant effect on personal financial management, indicating that students' financial knowledge has not been fully translated into daily financial practices. Conversely, consumptive behavior has a significant and dominant influence, demonstrating that lifestyle-driven spending, peer pressure, and digital financial access strongly shape students’ financial habits. Simultaneously, financial literacy and consumptive behavior significantly affect personal financial management, with a combined contribution of 57.5%. These findings highlight that students’ financial management challenges are more behavioral than cognitive, emphasizing the need for practical financial education, stronger self-control, and awareness of digital financial risks. The study implies that higher education institutions should develop programs focusing on budgeting skills, digital finance awareness, and responsible consumption to improve students' financial well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of empathy-based learning models on the social and emotional development of early childhood in Lubuk Linggau City. The background to this research stems from the fact that many early childhood education institutions still focus on academic skills, resulting in underdevelopment of social and emotional aspects. This is despite the fact that the ages of 4–6 are considered the golden age. Age is a period when empathy, emotional regulation, and social interaction skills experience rapid development and are greatly influenced by the quality of the learning environment. This study used a quantitative approach. The research sample consisted of children aged 5–6 years and teachers from several early childhood education institutions in Lubuk Linggau City selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments were validated questionnaires and observation sheets, while data analysis was conducted using paired t-tests and simple regression. The results showed a significant increase in children's social-emotional abilities after participating in an empathy-based learning model. The average score increased from 62.14 (moderate category) to 81.72 (good category), with a t-value of 9.87 and a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Improvements occurred in all social-emotional indicators, namely empathy (32%), prosocial behavior (31%), positive social interaction (29%), emotional regulation (28%), and the ability to cooperate (25%). These findings confirm that the empathy-based learning model is effective in improving the social-emotional competence of early childhood. This study recommends that PAUD institutions integrate empathy-oriented learning strategies more systematically to strengthen social-emotional skills as the foundation of child development.

Abstract

This study investigates the transmission mechanism linking transformational leadership to employee performance through two parallel mediation pathways: work motivation and organizational commitment. Unlike prior studies that examine mediators in isolation, this research explicitly compares the relative strength of both pathways to identify the dominant psychological mechanism within the context of Indonesian banking organizations — a setting that has been consistently underrepresented in the international leadership literature. Using a cross-sectional survey design and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-AMOS) with 385 commercial bank employees selected through stratified random sampling across five Indonesian regions, this study finds: (1) transformational leadership exerts a significant direct effect on employee performance (β = 0.421; p < 0.001); (2) work motivation mediates the relationship with an indirect effect of 0.168 (95% BCa-CI: 0.091–0.263); (3) organizational commitment mediates with an indirect effect of 0.142 (95% BCa-CI: 0.073–0.231); and (4) the pathway through work motivation is statistically stronger than the commitment pathway (contrast = 0.026; p < 0.05). The model explains R² = 0.684 of the variance in employee performance. These findings carry direct implications for the design of leadership training programs and performance management systems in banking institutions
