Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of peer mentoring strategies on the professional development of teachers in elementary schools. This research uses a case study. There are 15 schools as research objects consisting of Private Elementary Schools, State Elementary Schools, and Islamic Elementary Schools. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, documents, and questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out in two stages, namely (1) analysis of single or individual case data and (2) analysis of cross-case data. Checking the validity of the data in this study using the theory of Lincoln and Guba consists of 4 steps: credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results of the study indicate that the peer mentoring system has had an impact on increasing competencies that are relevant to current needs. Professional development has been built with close partnerships with colleagues, building innovations in teaching and learning, and scheduled mentoring management. Professional development through the peer mentoring process has had an impact on increasing teacher competency qualifications including pedagogic, personality, social and professional which has been described in the Teacher and Lecturer Law no. 14 of 2005. Thus, the peer mentoring process has many impacts on innovation and creativity improvement. the quality of each teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) explain the effect of classroom management on changes in student behavior, 2) explain the influence of teacher personality competence on changes in student behavior, 3) explain the effect of classroom management and the influence of teacher personality competence on changes in student behavior in Islamic Education subjects at Junior High School 4 Selong. This study uses a quantitative approach where the data used are primary data obtained through a questionnaire/questionnaire. The research method used is descriptive analysis, simple regression analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that: 1) classroom management (X1) significantly influences changes in student behavior (Y) in Islamic Education subjects at Junior High School 4 Selong with a correlation value of 0.564; 2) The teacher's personality competence (X2) significantly influences changes in student behavior (Y) in Islamic Education subjects at Junior High School 4 Selong with a correlation value of 0.612; 3) Class management (X1) and teacher personality competence (X2) has a significant effect on changes in student behavior (Y) in Islamic Education subjects at Junior High School 4 Selong by 50.7% with a  correlation value of 0.712.

Abstract

Monitoring and coaching pattern head school for enhancement teacher performance at SDIT Fauziah Yarsi Mataram related supervision and coaching head school for enhancement teacher performance , obstacles faced head school for enhancement teacher performance . Study this is study approach qualitativetype approach phenomenology with method interview . Research results this showing that pattern supervision and coaching head school for enhancement teacher performance at SDIT Fauziah Yarsi Mataram about ability enhancement teacher performance with method supervision and guidance carried out by the head school knowing constraint head school for enhancement teacher performance in a professional manner, the need for enhancement teacher performance.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the situational leadership strategy implemented by the principal in improving teachers' discipline and motivation at SMK Futuhul Arifin Lembar, West Lombok. Situational leadership is an approach that emphasizes adapting leadership styles to the prevailing circumstances and conditions. In the educational context, this is crucial to ensuring the achievement of optimal educational goals, particularly in enhancing teachers' work quality and motivation.  The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that the principal of SMK Futuhul Arifin implements various strategies, including open communication, rewards, and regular coaching for teachers, which have proven effective in improving discipline and motivation.  Thus, an appropriate situational leadership strategy can foster a productive work environment and enhance the quality of education in the school. This study recommends that the principal continue to develop situational leadership skills in accordance with the needs and challenges in the field.

Abstract

This study explores the educational values contained in the Qur’an and Hadith as the fundamental foundation for character education in Islamic learning contexts. Amid the challenges of moral decline and the weakening of ethical awareness in contemporary society, this research aims to identify and analyze key Qur’anic and Prophetic values that contribute to the formation of holistic character development. Using a qualitative library research method with a thematic analysis approach, relevant verses of the Qur’an and selected Hadith were examined to uncover core educational principles, including integrity, responsibility, discipline, compassion, justice, and spiritual consciousness. The findings indicate that the Qur’an and Hadith present an integrative educational framework combining moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social dimensions, which supports the development of balanced and ethical individuals. These values are not only normative teachings but also provide practical guidance for educational processes rooted in exemplary conduct, habituation, dialogue, and reflective learning. The study concludes that integrating Qur’anic and Prophetic educational values into modern character education curricula is essential to strengthen moral identity and foster socially responsible learners in the contemporary era.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study is motivated by the paradox between the normative commitment of Islamic student organizations to gender equality and organizational social practices that still demonstrate gender bias tendencies. The study aims to analyze the dialectic between Islamic educational values and modernity in shaping gender construction within the Indonesian Islamic Student Movement (PMII) at UIN Mataram. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies involving PMII administrators and members. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana through data condensation, data display, conclusion drawing, and verification. The findings reveal that PMII serves as a dialectical space that integrates Islamic educational values and modernity within its cadre system, organizational culture, and leadership practices. Aswaja values such as tawazun, tasamuh, ta’adul, and i’tidal form the basis for developing a contextual and moderate understanding of gender. Modernity is reflected through critical culture, gender education, meritocracy, and the strengthening of women’s intellectual capacities. However, patriarchal culture still influences organizational social practices, particularly in stereotypes toward women’s leadership, gender-biased division of labor, and the low participation of women in strategic organizational spaces. The study concludes that gender construction in PMII is formed through a dynamic negotiation process between Islamic educational values and modernity, resulting in a dialogical, moderate, and evolving understanding of gender. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya paradoks antara komitmen normatif organisasi mahasiswa Islam terhadap kesetaraan gender dengan praktik sosial organisasi yang masih menunjukkan kecenderungan bias gender. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dialektika nilai pendidikan Islam dan modernitas dalam membentuk konstruksi gender pada Pergerakan Mahasiswa Islam Indonesia (PMII) di UIN Mataram. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi terhadap pengurus serta kader PMII. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana melalui tahapan kondensasi data, penyajian data, penarikan simpulan, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PMII menjadi ruang dialektik yang mempertemukan nilai pendidikan Islam dan modernitas dalam sistem kaderisasi, budaya organisasi, dan praktik kepemimpinan kader. Nilai-nilai Aswaja seperti tawazun, tasamuh, ta’adul, dan i’tidal menjadi landasan dalam membangun pemahaman gender yang moderat dan kontekstual. Modernitas tercermin melalui budaya kritis, pendidikan gender, meritokrasi, dan penguatan kapasitas intelektual perempuan. Namun, budaya patriarki masih memengaruhi praktik sosial organisasi, terutama dalam stereotip kepemimpinan perempuan, pembagian kerja berbasis gender, dan rendahnya partisipasi perempuan dalam ruang strategis organisasi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa konstruksi gender di PMII terbentuk melalui proses negosiasi dinamis antara nilai pendidikan Islam dan modernitas sehingga menghasilkan pemahaman gender yang dialogis, moderat, dan terus berkembang.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of numeracy skills in grade 1 students and the lack of use of learning media that can help students in learning mathematics, and in this study the researcher used the gap board media (addition and subtraction) in improving students' numeracy skills. Therefore, this study aims to determine the feasibility, practicality and effectiveness of the gap board media (addition and subtraction) in improving the numeracy skills of grade 1 elementary school students. This study used a Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The study subjects consisted of media expert validators, material experts, and 23 first-grade students (10 girls and 13 boys). Data were collected through questionnaires, tests, interviews, and observations, then analyzed using qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results showed that the "ravine board" media received a feasibility rating of 98.6% from the media experts and 95.4% from the material experts, categorizing it as very feasible. The practicality rating was 100% from teachers and 97% from students, categorizing it as very practical. The effectiveness test results showed a significance value of 0.268, indicating a normally distributed data. A paired t-test indicated a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores with a p-value <0.05. Furthermore, the N-Gain test result of 0.82 is considered high. Thus, the ravine board is deemed feasible, practical, and effective for use in teaching arithmetic to first-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Modernity has intensified the dichotomy between religious and general knowledge in Islamic education, leading to an epistemological crisis. This article aims to examine the historical and epistemological roots of this dichotomy, explore relevant models of knowledge integration, and formulate directions for reconstructing contemporary Islamic education. This study employs a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review design, involving an in-depth examination of relevant articles, books, and scholarly publications spanning the period from 1989 to 2026. The data were analyzed through thematic synthesis, focusing on the historical roots of dichotomy, critiques of modern epistemology, and models of knowledge integration. The findings show that the epistemological crisis in Islamic education is rooted in colonialism, the secularization of modern knowledge, dualistic educational systems, and the weakening of the tauhidic worldview. In contrast, Amin Abdullah’s integration-interconnection paradigm, bayani-burhani-irfani epistemology, the tauhidic approach, and Nasr’s idea of the desacralization of knowledge offer promising solutions. The study concludes that Islamic education requires a holistic, integrative, and transformative epistemological paradigm to respond to modern challenges without losing its spiritual and moral dimensions.

Abstract

Female leadership in Islamic educational institutions currently stands at a crossroads between the demands of global modernization and the resistance of traditional religious interpretations. This phenomenon triggers a long-standing debate regarding the extent to which authority can be granted to women without infringing upon the boundaries of religious normativity. This article critically examines the phenomenon of female leadership in contemporary Islamic educational institutions by analyzing the dialectical tension between historically inherited religious normativity and the growing demands for gender equality in both global and national discourses. Employing a critical-hermeneutic approach to religious texts alongside a multidisciplinary literature review, this study maps three primary arenas of debate: (1) classic fiqh interpretations versus contextual reinterpretations regarding female leadership; (2) the empirical reality of female leadership in madrasahs, pesantrens (Islamic boarding schools), and Islamic higher education institutions; and (3) the structural-cultural barriers that restrict the actualization of female leadership despite the absence of absolute theological prohibitions. The findings indicate that obstacles to female leadership in Islamic educational institutions stem predominantly from patriarchal socio-cultural constructions embedded within religious interpretations rather than from Islamic doctrine itself. The maqashid al-shari'ah approach which emphasizes justice and public interest along with the contextual hermeneutics developed by Muslim feminists such as Amina Wadud and Nasaruddin Umar, offers a robust theological foundation to legitimize female leadership. This article concludes that the transformation of female leadership in Islamic educational institutions requires simultaneous reforms: hermeneutical (recontextualization of interpretations), structural (affirmative institutional policies), and pedagogical (gender-based leadership curricula).

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas secara komprehensif mengenai konsep pembelajaran yang mencakup definisi pembelajaran, fungsi dan peran guru dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar, serta keterampilan dasar yang wajib dimiliki guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran. Pembelajaran dimaknai sebagai suatu aktivitas terencana yang melibatkan interaksi antara pendidik, peserta didik, dan sumber belajar untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan. Dalam pelaksanaannya, guru berperan sebagai pengarah, pemberi motivasi, sekaligus pembimbing dalam mengembangkan potensi peserta didik. Untuk menunjang hal tersebut, guru perlu menguasai berbagai keterampilan dasar mengajar seperti kemampuan menjelaskan, mengelola kelas, mengajukan pertanyaan, memberikan penguatan, serta membuka dan menutup pembelajaran dengan baik. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman yang baik terhadap konsep pembelajaran dan keterampilan dasar guru sangat berpengaruh terhadap terciptanya pembelajaran yang berkualitas dan bermakna bagi peserta didik.
