Abstract

This service aims to provide training to Indonesian diapora residing in China. This is so that the Indonesian diaspora can understand the principles of investment and how to invest. This is important because investing is expected to provide an appropriate return and have an impact on the welfare of the Indonesian diapora. The method used in this service is lecture and discussion. The training begins with material presentations, then continues with questions and answers and discussions based on real problems faced by the Indonesian diaspora. What is obtained in this service is understanding the basic concepts of investment. In addition, it is necessary to know how to invest by understanding investment instruments based on the profile of the level of risk and level of profit. There are three stages that need to be done, namely, 1) compiling and planning life goals; 2) determine the amount of investment; and 3) execution. After running, it is necessary to carry out a review and evaluation stage so that it can invest properly and correctly.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of interest rates, inflation, rupiah exchange rate, money supply, and exports on the composite stock price index (CSPI) in Indonesia. The data used is secondary data obtained from the Indonesian Statistics Agency (BPS) and Central Bank of Indonesia for the period from January 2014 to May 2021. This study applies a multiple linear regression model. The findings of this study indicate that interest rates, money supply, and exports have a positive sign and have a significant effect on the composite stock price index, meanwhile the rupiah exchange rate has a negative sign and a significant effect on CSPI. However, inflation has no significant effect on the composite stock price index. The implication of the results of this study is that macroeconomic variables are very important in highlighting transactions in the capital market, especially on fluctuations in the composite stock price index, these findings provide results that still need to be observed by policy makers. On the one hand, interest rates and inflation must remain under control. In addition, exports must also be increased to increase transactions in the capital market, foreign exchange and maintain the rupiah exchange rate for Indonesia

Abstract

Corruption is a phenomenon that has received international attention. Corruption practices are very detrimental to the economic sector, accounting for 2% of world GDP or the equivalent of US$ 1.5 – 2 trillion lost every year due to corruption. The occurrence of corrupt practices is generally due to weak supervision of public officials and the complexity of the bureaucracy which opens up opportunities for corruption. Similar to corruption, the implementation of good governance in government also plays a role in the economic sector. In the global economy, the Asia Pacific region has the best economic prospects and is asked to be the engine of the global economy. But in terms of political integrity and governance, the Asia Pacific region is no better than other regions. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effect of corruption and public governance on the economic performance of Asia Pacific countries in 2004-2020. The results showed that the Corruption Perception Index, Regulatory Quality, and Political Stability had a positive effect on the economy. It is different with population growth which has a negative effect on the economy. Meanwhile, Participation and Accountability do not have a significant effect on the economy. Keywords: Corruption, Public Governance, GDP, Economic Performance, Political Stability.

Development is carried out in a sustainable manner with the aim of achieving a prosperous society by utilizing the available resources and potential to the fullest. However, the results of development still lead to income inequality. This study aims to determine the effect of poverty, education, HDI, economic growth, and population on the inequality of income distribution in districts/cities in Bali Province in 2011-2021. The analytical method used is the panel data regression model. The results of this study indicate that the level of poverty affects the inequality of income distribution, while education, HDI, economic growth and population have no effect on the inequality of income distribution.

Abstract

Before Indonesia entered the reform era, Indonesia was in the New Order system, which many people considered the system in this era to be too authoritarian. This study aims to determine the effect of the value of exports, imports, the rupiah exchange rate and the inflation rate on foreign debt after the reform era. This type of research uses quantitative methods which are methods that use mathematical models, calculations, statistics and tables. This study uses Indonesia as the object of research using data from 1998 to 2021. Data is collected quarterly or every three months of the year taken from various sources, namely the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and Bank Indonesia. The research method uses the Multiple Linear Regression method. The results of the study simultaneously, all of the independent variables X1 (exports), X2 (imports), X3 (exchange rates) and X4 (inflation) have the same or simultaneous and significant effect on variable Y (foreign debt) with a calculated F value ( 4.97) > F table (2.30) and significance (0.0011) < 0.05. All independent variables are also able to explain the model by 17.9%, as shown by the R-Squared value of 0.1794. Partially, variables X1 (exports), X2 (imports), X3 (exchange rates) and X4 (inflation) have no effect on variable Y (foreign debt) in Indonesia after the reform era.
