The media industry will and will always develop from time to time. This makes people accustomed to and adapting to digital technology. One of the sectors that are driven by the impetus of technological development is product marketing by utilizing digital platforms. Photography is an important point that cannot be separated from digital marketing activities. Where the product to be marketed will be designed in such a way, then immortalized in a photo so that the product looks more aesthetic and attracts customers. Community service carried out aims to provide education and assistance to create marketing communication strategies through Photo Production as a Visual Communication Activity for West Java UMKM in digital media to target communities for community service programs for the period 1 of 2022. Members of UMKM fostered by the creative house of BUMN BRI Bandung are one of the UMKM that play a role in the Indonesian economy. Community service activities related to visual communication activities are a form of dedication from Telkom University Communication Science lecturers. Through Photo Production as a provision for community service in the realm of communication science with the Humanities and Media Studies expertise group. The result of this training activity is that the target community can display product photos that are used as digital marketing media.

Information and communication technology advancement has made information dissemination rapid and massive. In addition, technology facilitates the large spread of hoax news which has sparked various kinds of riots in society. Yet, most people are prone to become exposed to hoax news because they tend to take information for granted from the internet without a critical process. This attitude drives them to any hazardous circumstances because hoax news has affected their perception of presuming phenomena in societies. Thus, a series of programs have been conducted, including the Community Service Program (PKM) by lecturers of the Communication Science Studies Program, at Telkom University, which was specifically carried out by providing training to Aliran Kebatinan Perjalanan's adherence in Bandung to verify hoax news and produce digital media positive contents. This training was conducted in two stages, through materials delivered by appointed presenters and two-way one-by-one coaching that is aimed to develop knowledge and solve problems without patronizing. The program was evaluated using a feedback survey. The result showed that the training had significantly answered the participants' needs in dealing with hoax news and producing digital media content responsibly.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of government policies through the mass media on students' decisions in West Java to vaccinate against Covid-19. The method used by researchers is simple linear regression analysis. The sample used in this study was 100 students in West Java. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence between government policies in the mass media on students' decisions to vaccinate Covid-19. The R Square results found that the effect of government policy on the mass media on the decision to vaccinate Covid-19 was 49.8%. While the remaining 50.2% is explained by other variables not included in this research model. The conclusion of this study is that government policies in the mass media have a significant effect on students' decisions to vaccinate Covid-19. Keywords: Covid-19, Government policy, Vaccinate

The purpose of this study was to measure and answer the question whether Word of Mouth influences the desire to vaccinate against COVID-19 at a productive age. This research method uses a variety of test variables in order to get accurate results. The results of this study are based on the results of the determination test (R square), the results of the R square test found that Word of Mouth has an effect of 0.546. It can be stated that Word of Mouth affects the desire to vaccinate by 54.6% influenced by other variables that are not present in this study. And the results of the t test found that tcount > ttable (4.971 > 1.98) then H0 was rejected statistically. From the results of the t test, the significant value is less than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05), which can be interpreted as having a fairly close influence between Word of Mouth on the desire to vaccinate. The conclusion of the study is that Word of Mouth affects a person's desire to vaccinate against Covid-19. Keywords: Covid-19, Vaccination, Word of Mouth

Crime is an activity that violates specific rules and norms and is detrimental to other people which is still often found amid social life from the past until now. The Light Copyist is used as a research object because of his fame until now. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a constructivist paradigm and uses Stuart Hall's reception analysis theory as well as Soesilo's theory of crime and WA Bonger. This study aims to discuss the phenomenon of criminality in the film Copying Light based on Stuart Hall's 3 interpretive positions. There are 7 scenes analyzed and all of these scenes have elements of crime in them. Based on the answers from the informants, the majority of them are in a dominant-hegemonic position. In this study, there are new findings in the forms of crime that are not included in Bonger's classification and the emergence of crime levels, namely treason, felony, and misdemeanor. The researcher's suggestion is to continue this research regarding these new findings so that people become more aware of existing forms of crime.

Zakat merupakan fenomena yang banyak terjadi setiap tahun, terutama pada bulan Ramadhan dan mendekati hari raya. Bagi umat Islam yang mampu, wajib mengeluarkan zakat sebagaimana yang tertuang dalam rukun Islam yang ketiga. Zakat ini memiliki potensi besar untuk mengatasi beberapa masalah seperti kemiskinan. Metode penelitian kualitatif observatif untuk mengamati interaksi, perilaku, dan konteks yang terjadi pada fenomena tersebut. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari pengurus LAZISSU, anggota masyarakat Desa Bojongsoang yang berinteraksi dengan akun Instagram @lazissu, serta individu yang telah menggunakan literasi zakat digital melalui platform tersebut. Pengamatan akan dilakukan melalui pengamatan langsung terhadap interaksi di akun Instagram @lazissu. Pembahasan hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang melibatkan zakat digital melalui akun Instagram @lazissu LAZISSU dan masyarakat Desa Bojongsoang telah menghasilkan temuan penting. Dalam diskusi, temuan dari pengabdian masyarakat akan dibahas secara praktis dan relevansinya dengan teori yang ada. Selain itu, temuan teoritis dari proses pengabdian kepada masyarakat juga akan dibahas, mulai dari tahap awal hingga perubahan sosial yang signifikan. Kesimpulan dalam pengabdian masyarakat dan zakat digital dapat menjadi model yang dapat diadopsi oleh masyarakat lain untuk mencapai perubahan sosial yang lebih luas dan berkelanjutan. . Melalui pengabdian ini, terbukti bahwa praktik zakat digital berpotensi meningkatkan literasi, partisipasi, dan kesejahteraan masyarakat secara efektif. Selain itu, hasil pengabdian ini juga memberikan temuan teoritis yang berharga.

Cubuntu tourist village in Kuningan Regency is an outstanding tourist village actively participating in digital promotion. The success of digital tourism promotion is closely related to the digital literacy skills of tourist village managers. This study aims to analyze the digital literacy of the Cibuntu village tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis) in digital promotion activities. The research method used is qualitative with a case study design. Data were obtained from interviews with four members of the Pokdarwis of Cibuntu village in the field of promotional media and observation of the Cibuntu village promotional media. The results showed that the digital literacy of Pokdarwis Cibuntu village has various aspects of digital skills, including information literacy, communication, and collaboration skills, the ability to develop digital content creation, and the ability to secure digital data. Meanwhile, the ability to solve problems using digital technology has not been able to be done, and the ability to create digital content has been done, but not entirely. The contribution of this research shows that the digital literacy skills possessed by the Pokdarwis of Cibuntu village are learned independently through content on social media. The findings are a consideration for tourism village managers in other regions to encourage Pokdarwis members to learn independently about digital promotion activities amid the wealth of information on social media.

This research investigates the role of ChatGPT in human-machine communication, focusing on interaction attributes and user perceptions. The study employs qualitative methods, including interviews with ChatGPT users, word cloud analysis using NVivo 12 Pro, and observation of interactions. Results highlight five frequently occurring codes: "chat," "person," "ChatGPT," "task," and "communication." These findings suggest that ChatGPT is perceived both as a communicative tool and a communicative subject, with AI literacy being crucial for its effective use. The research contributes significantly to understanding the development of technology and communication, showcasing ChatGPT's potential to transform human-machine interactions. It demonstrates how ChatGPT can improve efficiency, creativity, and our understanding of artificial intelligence. The study also explores the comparison between human-human and human-machine communication, emphasizing the unique role of ChatGPT in modern communication dynamics. This research underscores the importance of integrating AI education into curricula and providing clear guidelines for ethical and effective use of AI technologies like ChatGPT

Penelitian ini menyoroti fenomena framing pemberitaan terkait elektabilitas calon presiden dan wakil presiden Republik Indonesia 2024 oleh media massa, khususnya Kompas.com. Permasalahan utama yang diangkat adalah bagaimana media membentuk persepsi publik terhadap calon pemimpin melalui pemberitaan yang disajikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis framing model Zhongdang Pan dan Kosicki, yang mencakup analisis struktur sintaksis, skrip, tematik, dan retoris dalam berita-berita yang diterbitkan oleh Kompas.com. Teori yang mendasari penelitian ini adalah teori framing, yang menjelaskan bagaimana media memilih dan menekankan aspek-aspek tertentu dari realitas untuk membentuk persepsi dan opini publik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kompas.com sering menonjolkan aspek-aspek tertentu dari calon, seperti popularitas dan dukungan, dengan menggunakan pilihan kata dan narasi yang spesifik. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa berita yang dipublikasikan memiliki kecenderungan bias tertentu, yang terlihat dari sumber dan cara penyajian informasi. Framing yang dilakukan oleh Kompas.com dapat mempengaruhi opini publik dan persepsi terhadap calon presiden dan wakil presiden. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya literasi media bagi masyarakat, agar dapat menyikapi pemberitaan politik secara kritis, terutama menjelang pemilihan umum. Pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai cara kerja framing media juga penting bagi pengambil kebijakan dan praktisi media untuk menjaga objektivitas dan keseimbangan dalam pemberitaan politik.

Social inequality in society is a social issue that is rarely realized by the community because they feel used to it and even cultured with it, even though this social class division is also not an ideology that is embraced and believed by the community. The film Enola Holmes 2, which is a continuation of the first series, has become one of the best-selling films on the Netflix platform with a different storyline compared to other trending films. The purpose of this study is to look at other phenomena that occur apart from the mystery or love story in a film, which is related to the division of social classes and surplus values ??that occur in films where the entire scene is not explained. The research method that is used by researchers is a method with a qualitative approach, John Fiske's semiotics. The researcher assumes that the Marxist movement as socially critical of the capitalists is a breakthrough for the proletariat (workers) not to be complacent in the surplus value that is carried out either openly or covertly.
