Abstract

The LEPPIM Intensive Class (LIC) 2023 is an annual work program organized by the Department of Student Resource Development (DPSDM), serving as the first cadre level for new LEPPIM UPI Purwakarta 2023 students. The goal of the LEPPIM Intensive Class 2023 is to provide a comprehensive understanding of writing ethics and the scientific essay structure. The method employed involves creating a training concept through lectures featuring professional speakers. The level of student understanding is evaluated by comparing pre-test and post-test results, which are conducted using Google Forms. Upon comparing the pre-test and post-test results, it was observed that there was a 15.5% increase in participants' understanding of writing ethics and a 16.3% increase in their comprehension of the structure of scientific essays. Therefore, it can be concluded that this activity has successfully enhanced the participants' understanding of writing ethics and the structure of scientific essays.

Abstract

The aim of community service at Rukun Warga 06, Antapani Wetan Subdistrict, Bandung City is to provide information system facilities to enhance the efficiency of activities related to managing residents administration. This administration involves the issuance of certificates for various purposes, ensuring transparency in residents' contributions, and providing a platform for reporting community problems or aspirations. The method employed in this service begins with problem identification, analysis to prioritize urgent needs, system development, and outreach to gather feedback from users for evaluation. The result is improved efficiency in residents administration management, enhanced transparency in contributions, and simplified reporting of problems or aspirations.

Abstract

Direktorat Jenderal Bea dan Cukai menyediakan portal layanan publik, yaitu Costums-Excise Information System and Automation (CEISA) dengan alamat domain https://portal.beacukai.go.id/. CEISA 4.0 merupakan pengembangan dari sistem CEISA berbasis website untuk melakukan proses pengawasan dalam kepabeanan dan cukai. Temuan berdasarkan hasil observasi mengemukakan permasalahan pada web based CEISA 4.0, dimana belum tersedianya upaya untuk melakukan evaluasi guna mengetahui sejauh mana kemudahan serta tujuan penggunaannya dapat tercapai, khususnya pada kantor Pengawasan dan Pelayanan Bea dan Cukai Tipe Madya Pabean A Purwakarta. Penggunaan Metode System Usability Scale (SUS) diterapkan mengingat SUS adalah usability tester yang valid walaupun dengan ukuran sampel yang kecil. Hasil akhir skor rata-rata SUS diperoleh dengan nilai 67,25 dari pengumpulan kuisioner 30 responden. Nilai tersebut menginterpretasikan bahwa penilaian pada Acceptability Ranges adalah Marginal, Grade Scale dalam skala D, dan Adjectiva Ratings dalam kategori Good. Penilaian tersebut mengemukakan bahwa penggunaan CEISA 4.0 berbasis website cukup mudah digunakan dan memerlukan pengembangan lebih lanjut. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze problems with the capacity and capability of the availability of new innovations found in the use of information and communication technology. This research is an analysis in examining agricultural management in the IpTek Kiosk media based on Agricultural Information and Communication Technology Change. The method of this research was conducted using qualitative descriptive writing methods by collecting data through literature studies and using the Model Analysis PEST and SWOT. The results of this study are to obtain an analysis of the study of agricultural management in the IpTek Kiosk media based on changes in agricultural Information and Communication Technology and the extent to which the IpTek Kiosk media is ideal or not in ensuring the design and development of agricultural management later. It is expected that the impact of the agricultural management analysis study can help farmers both in terms of commodities and the farming market by facilitating farmers in implementing information and communication technology. Therefore farmers can more actively seek new information independently and reduce the cosmopolitan numbers of farmers in Indonesia. so that later it can improve the management of agricultural segmentation in achieving Indonesian Food Security.

Abstract

Tingginya kebutuhan hasil pertanian di Indonesia beberapa tahun terakhir cenderung naik. Namun karena tingginya kebutuhan pangan bersamaan dengan harga hasil pertanian yang ikut naik juga, menyebabkan banyak konsumen memilih untuk mengurangi kebutuhan dari beberapa jenis hasil pertanian. Disisi lain petani sebagai pihak yang memproduksi hasil pertanian menjual hasil pertaniannya melalui jalur pedagang perantara dan distribusi yang panjang untuk sampai ke konsumen. Saat memasuki jalur distribusi, petani kerap mendapat harga jual hasil pertanian yang sangat tidak menguntungkan dikarenakan banyak oknum pedagang perantara yang sering memberikan harga sangat rendah kepada petani. Jalur distribusi yang panjang dan harga jual yang tinggi diberikan pedagang perantara kepada pedagang akhir dan konsumen. Hal tersebut merupakan beberapa penyebab harga yang sangat tinggi ditangan konsumen dan rendahnya harga dipetani. Salah satu solusi yang dilakukan melalui perancangan sistem informasi yang dapat mengelola data produksi, mengelola data harga, dan mengelola penjualan hasil pertanian, dimana proses pemasaran yang digunakan melalui sistem lelang. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode pendekatan studi literatur dan pengembangan sistem informasi menggunakan metode prototype. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah sebuah blueprint sistem informasi pengelolaan penjualan hasil pertanian yang ditujukan untuk memfasilitasi pembangunan sistem informasi nantinya sehingga dapat mendukung tercapainya petani yang lebih makmur dari penjualan hasil pertanian.

Abstract

A company that is reliable in providing its products or services never escapes the good quality of human resources. These qualities can generally be viewed from the development and maintenance of human resources within the company. In the research conducted at PT. The Eastern Pillar of Technology, the company hopes to maximize service to its employees so that they can focus on working and the level of employee satisfaction can increase. The service in question is oriented towards Human Resource Management, where so far, every bureaucratic, administrative, and recapitulation process related to human resources has not been fully recorded and optimally documented. For example, on its implementation, employees who want to apply for leave or permission will be faced with a long bureaucratic process. On the other hand, employees must also confirm to the Human Resource Management party whether they still have leave and permit allotments or not. This causes problems in some conditions, where the occurrence of employee indiscipline in applying for leave or permits. In addition to the application and attendance process that is still done manually, it causes inconsistencies or errors in the recap of employee data. That have a bad impact on the calculation of the payroll that will be carried out. Mobile-based Employee Self Service plays an important role in solving these problems because it can display accurate data and reports for each employee, both in terms of permits, leave, overtime, attendance or even payroll calculations. This research was conducted using a descriptive research method with a data collection method through interviews and observations on the object of study. For the system development method used, the author used the prototype development method with Unified Modelling Language modelling. While in prototype development, the author uses kotlin and MySQL programming languages for his database. The result is the construction of Employee Self Service with the aim of providing easier access for employees in utilizing the facilities provided by the company, as well as minimizing errors and omissions that may occur in the employee service process.

Abstract

The basic need for students with an autism spectrum disorder in lectures is repetition in their learning activities. The development of gamification for learning material can accommodate these needs. Information System Department, Universitas Komputer Indonesia, has developed multimedia-based learning material with the concept of gamification for them in two courses as prototypes. Data for the needs for developing learning material was carried out through forum group discussions with experts in the education field for students with special needs. When data is collected from stakeholders, then analyzed with the Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat model to get a description of the internal and external environment in their learning process. After that, the design, development, and testing (using the black box method and user acceptance testing) of the multimedia application are presented. The result is an application as a prototype which is packaged in a gamification concept to provide interactive audiovisual through the provision of theoretical and practical material video and evaluation by the completion of a mission in a game. The goal is to efficiently deliver material in the learning process for them. The impact of the prototype can be able to improve the quality of the learning experience of students with an autism spectrum disorder.

Abstract

The rise of smart home technology has significantly impacted people’s behavior and lifestyle, especially when controlling household electronics remotely. Smart homes have become increasingly commoditized in the last decades, resulting in several vendors offering various commercial products and their variants. Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) has created the smart home platform “SH-UPI,” which includes the Smart LED Bulb RGB. The platform’s mobile app can be downloaded from the Play Store or the official website (www.sh-upi.com). The SH-UPI is one of Indonesia's leading smart homes that adopted Internet-of-Things (IoT). However, customers have reported issues with the app’s user interface (UI) and user experience (UX), prompting a redesign to address these concerns and stay competitive. This study employs the design thinking method of empathizing, defining, imagining, prototyping, and testing. The define stage to prototype stage resulted in a newly designed prototype for the SH-UPI app. Testing involved evaluating the prototype using metrics like the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) and System Usability Scale (SUS). The test results showed an increase in the UEQ parameter value, exceeding the initial average scores of -0.8 to 0.8. Additionally, there was an improvement compared to benchmark scores, which initially ranged from below average to poor but now range from above average to excellent. The SUS score also improved, rising from 59.75 (grade D) to 83.625 (grade A). The findings of this study can be a valuable resource for developing SH-UPI apps with significantly enhanced UI/UX.

Abstract

A simulator is a tool designed to replicate the operations of real-world equipment to aid users in understanding and utilizing them. However, the results of simulator computation often differ slightly from those generated by theoretical calculations. To tackle this issue, various techniques, including theoretical calculations, circuit simulation, and experimentation, are utilized to identify and analyze discrepancies in calculation results between simulators and real-world experiments. This study focuses on TINA-TI, a widely used software for simulating electrical circuits. Specifically, the research examines the analysis of a 3-loop mesh circuit comprising resistors and voltage sources. Four distinct 3-loop mesh circuits are investigated using a multi-step research methodology involving theoretical circuit analysis, simulation on TINA-TI, and practical experiments on a project board. The findings indicate that TINA-TI can accurately simulate straightforward, branched electrical circuits like mesh circuits. However, inconsistencies exist between theoretical forecasts and experimental observations, such as variations in polarity and numerical discrepancies, with certain measurements displaying significant deviations. The aim of this research is to provide insights into the assessment of simulators for simulating basic electrical circuits and to encourage further exploration of the TINA-TI simulator.

Abstract

Portal website CEISA 4.0 merupakan website yang digunakan oleh institusi Bea dan Cukai dengan perusahaan yang berkerja sama guna memudahkan integrasi antar perusahaan, bisnis dan perusahaan, maupun bisnis dan bisnis. Studi yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh penggunaan website CEISA 4.0 terhadap kepuasan pengguna atau tidak. Hasil pengujian yang didapatkan menyatakan bahwa secara parsial tidak terdapat pengaruh usability terhadap kepuasan pengguna, namun sebaliknya terdapat pengaruh dalam kualitas informasi dan kualitas interaksi terhadap kepuasan pengguna. Dilain hal secara simultan terdapat pengaruh website CEISA 4.0 terhadap kepuasan pengguna dengan hasil nilai F hitungnya lebih besar dari F tabel 21,742 > 2,96.
