Abstract

Since the discovery of a tool to capture an image (image) in the form of a camera making technological developments not only focus on the tools but also must focus on where the data is stored. The need for storage media is something that is needed in every communication tool. Data and information communication systems are not only in the form of text but can also be in the form of images, videos and audio. Image file size that is relatively larger compared to text files is one of the causes of the amount of memory used for storing image files. The size of the image file can also cause the length of time to send the image file. Image file compression process is one way that can be done to overcome the problem of image file size. Image compression is an attempt to minimize the file size or bytes of a graphic file without reducing the quality of existing images. A certain amount of storage, such as disk space or memory, makes it possible to reduce the image file size. Many algorithms that can be used to compress image file sizes include the ternary comma code algorithm that can help reduce image file sizes. The ternary comma code algorithm has a faster time space compared to other algorithms.

Abstract

The development of applications that can crack passwords or data that has been secured by cryptographic algorithms has made researchers try various ways to further secure the data they have. Even though the method used is quite modern, the algorithm for breaking ciphertext in cryptography can still be created. For this reason, in this study the authors develop cryptographic security by combining it with data compression. In this study, the algorithm used is the classic cryptographic algorithm, namely Caesar Cipher, combined with the Stout Codes compression algorithm. The results of the Caesar Cipher ciphertext are then compressed by applying the Stout Codes algorithm. From the test results using the Brute Force Atack model, the results are quite good, that the security of the encrypted data is quite good and not easily broken.

Abstract

The selection of the Service Ambassador event is a consistent manifestation of PT. Midi Utama Indonesia Tbk, so that the best service can be accepted by the community. Service Ambassador is one of the selection of employees precisely with the best cashier position. Improving customer service skills must be a priority every day for every business that wants to excel in today's competitive market. Moreover, every interaction with the customer, provides an opportunity for customers to spread the best service to other potential customers. Through the selection of the Medan Service Ambassador, PT Midi Utama Indonesia Tbk moved more aggressively to improve services. The method used in this decision support system is the VIKOR (Vise criterijumsko Kompromisno Rangiranje) method. This method ranks alternatives and determines the ideal compromise solution, so that this system can later benefit PT. Midi Utama Indonesia Tbk to get the title in determining the best Medan Ambassador service employees to be referred to the national level. From the selection results of the Service Ambassador event, PT. Midi Utama Indonesia Tbk, hopes that the best service is truly acceptable to the community and can increase the level of sales which is greatly improved which can be beneficial for PT. Abstract

In the field of business, data mining techniques are used to support a wide range of business intelligence applications such as customer profiling, targeted marketing, workflow management, store layout and fraud detection. Lack of predicting the type of Customer Transactions that exist in this cooperative makes the manager or leader of this cooperative difficult in terms of providing loans and also in accepting new cooperative members. Leaders also have difficulties in knowing the profession of customers who borrow the most at this cooperative. As for the process of predicting the type of Customer Transaction during this time, there is a saving and loan operation is still based on the direct view of the type of Customer Transaction and see the existing ledger notes of the cooperative.

Abstract

Community Health Insurance is one of the government programs for the people of Indonesia in obtaining treatment services at Puskesmas. The program is very helpful for people who are low income and live below the poverty line. Indicators for the government in providing this service consists of 10 (ten) criteria that are House Ownership Status, Floor Area per Household Member, Type of Floor of House, Type of Wall House, Lighting House Used, Fuel Used, Frequency Of Eating In A Day, Ability Buy meat/chicken/milk in a week, Employment of head of household, Education of head of household. In the application, of course, has constraints in deciding who the participants who get the Jamkesmas service. With the application of one of Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) able to overcome obstacles faced by government. Some methods of MCDM such as Simple Additive Weighting(SAW), Weighted Product(WP), Weighted Sum Model(WSM) can solve this problem. By applying the WSM is relatively easy and fast, is believed to be able to get the best results.

Abstract

Digital images that are private and confidential are very vulnerable to wiretapping by irresponsible parties. Especially if it is distributed over the internet such as chat-based applications, WhatsApp and e-mail media. The image that is sent is sometimes an image that is confidential and must be protected. In order to maintain the security of digital images, cryptographic techniques can be used. Cryptographic techniques can secure digital images by changing the pixel values ??of the digital image so that it produces a different pixel value from the original image to be secured. In this study, the algorithm used is the GOST algorithm by adding the OFB technique to optimize the GOST key, and the encryption results can be sent via an application that will be designed with a client-server model. Creating a client-server-based encryption and decryption software application, aimed at transferring digital data in the form of a plain image that has been encrypted using the GOST algorithm, and can be distributed locally using an IP address connected to the same network on the sending and receiving computers (client-server)

Abstract

The Medan City Muhammadiyah Elementary and Secondary Education Council is an institution or organization whose activities are related to religion. One of the activities of the Medan City Muhammadiyah Elementary and Secondary Education Council is to supervise reporting and carry out Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of financial reports from Muhammadiyah schools that are members of the assembly so that financial problems in these schools become transparent. Based on the analysis of the situation of the target audience that has been stated above, the problems faced so far have occurred in two directions, where the assembly and the school both have problems in monitoring and evaluating the financial statements so that the right solution is needed to resolve both the problem. The solution to the existing problems is to build the Muhammadiyah School Financial Information System Application (SIKeSMu) and provide training for the use of the application so that it is hoped that later it can simplify reporting and facilitate monitoring of financial statements in schools that are members of the Primary and Secondary Education Council. Abstract

Online learning or online learning can be done with the help and support of an application as a liaison between educators and students. Many educators who are still unfamiliar with the use of technology and applications, it is considered a technological gap, so it has become the duty and responsibility of computer science lecturers to provide teaching and knowledge transfer to knowledge in the use of technology and applications in assisting online learning. Abstract

Dalam layanan pesan singkat tentunya ada batasan jumlah penggunaan karakter dalam sekali pengiriman pesan. Jika penggunaan karakter dalam penulisan pesan melebihi batas, tentunya pada proses pengiriman pesan akan lebih lama dan penggunaaan layanan akan menghitung pengiriman pesan lebih dari sekali. Pastinya akan membutuhkan biaya tambahan di setiap pengirimannya. Salah satu masalah yang selalu menjadi persoalan adalah mengenai pemampatan karakter pada pesan teks dikarenakan aplikasi Short Message Service yang tersedia secara default pada smartphone android tidak memiliki proses kompresi dan dekompresi. Tentunya, setiap operator memiliki tarif yang berbeda dalam pemakaian layanan pesan singkat dalam sekali kirim. Bagaimana jika pengirim menuliskan sebuah pesan yang jumlah karakternya lebih dari sekali pengiriman atau lebih dari 160 karakter. Melihat kebutuhan akan pemampatan pesan teks maka perlu dilakukan kompresi yang mampu memperkecil data. Sehingga dapat menekan pemakaian jumlah karakter. Tentunya biaya pengiriman juga menjadi lebih hemat jika pesan yang harusnya dikirim lebih dari sekali pengiriman menjadi sekali pengiriman. Proses kompresi dilakukan dengan Algoritma Goldbach Codes untuk mengatasi masalah dalam memampatkan pesan teks. Karena algoritma ini sangat efisien jika diterapkan pada layanan pesan singkat

Abstract

Admission of new students is an administrative process for prospective students in educational institutions. This process is usually carried out every year. Imelda University Medan is one of the universities that still uses manual system procedures in selecting the right majors for prospective new students. This study aims to design a data mining system application for recommendations for new student majors at Imelda University Medan, using the Selft Organizing Maps (SOM) method to make it easier for prospective new students in the process of selecting the right department. For application design, the Visual Basic 2008 programming language is used, this system is made flexible so that if at any time the criteria used can be adjusted according to needs. The results of this study indicate that the SOM method can produce recommendations for the right majors for prospective students at the University of Imelda Medan. . Thus the system is expected to be able to assist in the activities of department recommendations for prospective new students at the University of Imelda Medan.Keywords: New Students, Data mining, Selft Organizing Maps (SOM)
