Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of the influence of green knowledge and green competency in improving innovative work behavior (IWB) with the role of leader support mediation in the garment industry in Semarang Regency. The research approach used is quantitative with an explanatory research design. Data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires to 200 garment industry employees selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the help of SmartPLS. The results of the study show that green knowledge, green competence, and leader support have a positive and significant effect on innovative work behavior. In addition, green knowledge and green competency have also been proven to have a significant effect on leader support. The leader support variable has the most dominant influence on innovative work behavior. The results of the mediation test showed that leader support was able to mediate the relationship between green knowledge and green competency to innovative work behavior partially. The value of the determination coefficient (R²) indicates that the model has strong explanatory ability, while the SRMR value indicates that the research model has a good fit. This research provides the implication that the improvement of innovative employee behavior in the garment industry is not only dependent on environmental knowledge and competence, but is also strongly influenced by the support of leaders. Therefore, organizations need to develop integrated strategies in increasing green knowledge, green competence, and strengthening leadership roles to encourage sustainable innovation.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of work-life balance and organizational culture on employee engagement within an organization. As companies navigate the global market, human resources play a critical role in determining performance and competitive advantage. Organizational culture serves as a guiding framework that shapes employee behavior, while work-life balance directly influences employee well-being and productivity. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology, the study synthesizes findings from peer-reviewed publications indexed in Sinta, focusing on the relationships between these variables. The results indicate that both work-life balance and organizational culture significantly contribute to higher levels of employee engagement, enhancing motivation, commitment, and organizational performance. Employees in environments that prioritize work-life balance and foster open, participatory cultures tend to be more productive and loyal, reducing turnover rates. This research highlights the importance of creating policies that support a healthy work-life balance and positive work culture to improve employee engagement. Future research could examine these variables longitudinally, consider industry-specific dynamics, and incorporate qualitative methods for deeper insights.

Abstract

In collective decision-making, a phenomenon known as "groupthink" can happen when individuals of the group have a tendency to agree with the majority view, even when that view is not supported by reason. The primary objective of this study is to examine how group cohesiveness and leadership affect groupthink and how it affects the standard of decision-making. The outcomes of earlier studies are analyzed in this study using a methodical literature review approach. According to study findings, group cohesiveness and dominant leadership can raise the possibility of groupthink. Two factors contribute to this: (1) Dominant leaders frequently dictate how decisions are made, which limits group members' ability to participate and conduct discussions; and (2) Cohesive groups typically have a high degree of mutual trust, which makes it comfortable for members to voice differing ideas. The effectiveness of the decision-making process might be negatively impacted by groupthink.

Abstract

Lecturers in Indonesian universities frequently encounter demanding working conditions, including toxic interpersonal environments, heavy role responsibilities, and concerns about financial security. These pressures are often linked to psychological strain and reduced well-being. However, the extent to which Islamic workplace spirituality can buffer the impact of such demands remains insufficiently explored. This study examines the effects of toxic workplace environment, work role overload, and financial anxiety on workplace stress, while also testing the moderating role of Islamic workplace spirituality. A total of 220 lecturers from Indonesian higher education institutions participated in this study. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that toxic workplace environment significantly increases workplace stress (β = .13, p = .04). Work role overload also has a significant association with workplace stress; however, the direction is negative (β = −.52, p < .001), contrary to the proposed hypothesis. Financial anxiety does not significantly affect workplace stress (β = .02, p = .36) and does not moderate the influence of toxic workplace environment on workplace stress (β = −.87, p = .07). Islamic workplace spirituality moderates the relationship between work role overload and workplace stress (β = −.23, p < .001), but it does not moderate the association between toxic workplace environment and workplace stress (β = .04, p = .31). These findings suggest that relational conditions in the academic workplace are more salient in explaining lecturers’ stress than financial concerns, while spirituality functions as a protective resource mainly for task-related pressures. The study highlights the importance of counseling support, coping reinforcement, and healthier interpersonal climates in higher education institutions.
