Abstract

Religious education and multicultural education in elementary schools are considered very important in addressing the increasing issue of moral decay among children. This study aims to describe the strategy of integrating the interconnection of religious and multicultural education in strengthening the character of elementary school students. This study uses a qualitative approach of the case study type with the objects of the principal, teachers, and students. Research data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Researchers use triangulation techniques and triangulation sources to obtain data validity. This study found that integrating the interconnection of religious education and multicultural education strengthens the character of elementary school students by integrating-interconnecting certain values in the curriculum and the learning process, namely equality, unity, justice, kinship, tolerance, and love of peace. The results of this study not only provide theoretical contributions to character formation through religious and multicultural education and offer practical insights for elementary schools in forming students' characters through the integration of religious and multicultural education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe prophetic character education in the animated film Riko The Series episode 08 and its relevance for character education for elementary school children. This qualitative study uses content analysis to analyze the message's meaning and how to reveal the message. Technically, this research method is carried out by processing information documented in recordings, either images, sounds, writing, or other forms of recordings from the animated film Riko The Series episode 08, then analyzed based on the theory of prophetic character education and the theory of tadabbur Al-Qur'an, namely interpreting the explicit meaning with implicit understanding. The results of this study state, 1) there are two implicit meanings of the message of the Al-Qur'an surah an-Nur verse 22 that are relevant to prophetic character education for elementary school children in the animated film Riko The Series episode 08, namely the phrase falya'fu which is relevant to the forgiving character and the phrase falyashfahu which is relevant to the broad-minded character. The forgiving and broad-minded characters are in accordance with the prophetic character education theory proposed by Moh. Roqib, a humanist prophetic character, eliminates various forms of violence and hatred towards others because both of these things will damage human values. 2) there is a strong relevance between the animated film Riko The Series episode 08 and prophetic character education for elementary school children in Indonesia, as evidenced by the existence of Presidential Regulation No. 87 of 2017 concerning Strengthening Character Education implemented in Elementary Schools.

Abstract

This study explores the implimentation and implications of Islamic-based environmentally sustainable character education in elementary schools in Banjarmasin. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research focuses on principals, teachers, and students as primary subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation, with. data analysis involving reduction, presentation, and synthesis for conclusions. To ensure data validity, the study employed technical and source triangulation. Findings indicate that Islamic-based environmentally sustainable character education was facilitated through a series of initiatives: daily reporting, the GPS (Garbage Collection Movement), LISA (see trash pickup) practices, community service actvities, establishement of waste banks, composting, nurseries, hydroponics and TOGA (Medicinal Plant Garden), cultivation, water and energy conservation, innovations in environmentally sustainable behaviors, environmental education programs, formation of Adiwiyata cadres, and guidance for Adiwiyata schools. The implications of this approach for elementary schools in Banjarmasin are reflected in four primary components; the establishment of environmentally conscious school policies, integration of environmentally themes within the curriculum, participatory environmental engagement, and the management of eco-friendly facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

Objectives: The importance of transition programs for primary school entry globally (not just in Indonesia). Method:  A qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design was employed. The research subjects consisted of school principals, early childhood and primary school teachers, and parents from two educational institutions in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model. Results: The research findings indicate that the Early Childhood Education -Primary School transition program generally changes the perceptions and practices of teachers and parents, shifting the focus from early academic achievement to the holistic development of children, including social-emotional and character aspects. Theoretical Contribution: This strengthens the theory of Islamic education, which emphasizes a balance between the spiritual, social, and intellectual aspects of learners. The AGIL approach becomes a relevant conceptual framework to understand how Islamic educational institutions can function systemically. Implication: The program successfully builds better collaboration among stakeholders and strengthens parental involvement, thereby contributing to structural and cultural transformations in the early childhood education system and supporting children’s readiness to enter formal education.

Abstract

Digital transformation has significantly changed learning practices in Islamic primary education; however, the role of digital literacy as a transformative framework for character education, particularly through collaboration between teachers and parents in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, remains under-explored. To address this research gap, this study investigates how digital media facilitates the internalisation of core moral values, strengthens participatory character building, and enhances students’ ethical reasoning within the Islamic educational context. The research employs a qualitative case study Design, complemented by descriptive quantitative data to ensure triangulation and robust interpretation of findings. Data were collected through systematic classroom observations, in-depth interviews with the madrasah principal, teachers, and students, and digital documentation of learning activities. Qualitative data were analysed using NVivo for thematic coding and pattern validation, while quantitative data were examined using mean score calculations to support the qualitative insights. The findings indicate that digital media effectively enhance students’ understanding of moral values, promote emotional engagement, and provide opportunities for reflective moral reasoning. Teachers demonstrate strong competence in integrating technology into learning, yet parental involvement remains moderate due to constraints in digital literacy and accessibility. Based on these findings, this study proposes a digital literacy-based character education model grounded in transformative and sociocultural learning perspectives. The model provides practical guidance for developing collaborative, technology-integrated character education policies and offers strategies for strengthening teacher-parent partnerships. Ultimately, the study contributes to advancing character education in Islamic primary schools by bridging theoretical, technological, and sociocultural dimensions of moral learning.

This study aims to explain the implementation of Full Day School at MIN 4 Tapin and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors. This study uses a qualitative case study approach. Data collection was carried out using observation, interviews, and document studies. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of techniques and sources. The results of the study show that the Full Day School Planning Process at MIN 4 Tapin has been approved by 11 out of 12 teachers and 75% of parents. In its implementation, extracurricular and cocurricular activities have been carried out in accordance with the applicable curriculum. However, extracurricular activities have not been implemented, which has resulted in inconsistencies in the learning hours applied. This has become a subject of evaluation for the school for the coming academic year. Factors supporting the implementation of Full Day School at MIN 4 Tapin are adequate facilities and infrastructure, the condition of the teachers and parents, and a supportive social environment. The inhibiting factor is the occurrence of culture shock among students.

Abstract

In the context of Physical Education learning, objective and reliable speed assessment is essential not only for measuring students’ physical abilities but also for informing instructional strategies, individualized feedback, and fair evaluation of learning outcomes. The absence of standardized and objective measurement tools can hinder teachers’ ability to monitor student progress, design appropriate learning interventions, and motivate students effectively. From the background above, the following problem formulations can be taken: 1) What is the range of sports speed norms for students?, 2) What is the development model for sprint speed information hardware software (SHICEPATS) for tests and evaluations of state Islamic higher education students based on ESP8266 wireless?, 3) What is the feasibility of sprint speed information hardware software (SHICEPATS)?. The process that must be passed through in research and development by Borg and Gall.  Feedback from the sports science validator highlighted several weaknesses in SHICEPATS, prompting important product improvements. One key suggestion was the creation of a comprehensive user manual to guide users through the device's operation. Based on input from IT experts regarding the control unit box, the researchers redesigned it to ensure a unique and distinctive appearance that distinguishes. The results of the small group trial showed that 38.10% were still unable to perform digital sprint tests and measurements because the operational method was not yet user friendly and there were still many displays that were confusing. The use of SHICEPATS in the large group trial has improved, the level of ease of performing measurement tests and reading results was 83.21%. In general, the level of ease of SHICEPATS design and ease of carrying was 91.97%, these results indicate that users find it much easier to process and understand the data generated by the device. The system is designed to calculate sprint speed using two strategically placed sensors.
