Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the effect of the competence and discipline on teacher performance at the State Junior High School 2 Siantar, both simultaneously and partially. This study was conducted by using literature review and field research. The population used by the authors in this study were 39 teachers of the State Junior High School 2 Siantar. The type of data used was qualitative and quantitative data. This study used primary and secondary data sources. The data collection was carried out by questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The analysis technique used was a quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study can be summarized as follows (1) there was a positive effect of competence and discipline on teacher performance; (2) there was a high correlation between competence and discipline on teacher performance; (3) the results of the study was competence and discipline has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, both simultaneously and partially.

Abstract

The results of this study can be summarized as follows compensation is good, motivation is good and job satisfaction is also satisfied. Regression analysis result Ŷ = 13,181 + 0,542 X1 + 0,440X2, meaning there is positive influence between compensation (X1) and motivation (X2) to job satisfaction (Y) at PT Duta Media Indonesia Pematangsiantar Area. Correlation value r = 0,694 which means there is a moderately high and positive correlation between compensation, motivation and job satisfaction of employees at PT Duta Media Indonesia Pematangsiantar Area. Determination coefficient value is 0,482, meaning whether or not job satisfaction is explained by 48,2% by compensation and motivation. Hypothesis Ho rejected, meaning that compensation and motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction at PT Duta Media Indonesia Pematangsiantar Area.As for suggestions from the results of this study is to improve compensation should the company improve the payment system and provide better welfare to employees. To improve the motivation should the leadership should give confidence to employees to achieve high performance and eager to follow the development of technology. Meanwhile, to improve job satisfaction, the company should give more attention and give promotion to every employee who have achievement so that employees feel proud and satisfied. Keywords: Compensation, Motivation and Job Satisfaction

Abstract

The purpose of this study are: 1. To determine the image of brand image, consumer perception, and purchasing decisions in Indomaret. 2. To determine the influence of brand image and consumer perception of purchasing decision in PT Indomarco Prismatama (Indomaret) either simultaneously or partially. This research was done by using design of literature and field research. The type of data used in this research is qualitative and quantitative data. Sources of data are primary and secondary data. The population used in this reseaarch were students of STIE Sultan Agung Pematangsiantar Semester VIII T.A. 2016/2017 and the sample used of 89 respondents. Data was collected by questionary, interview and documentation. The technique of analyzing is multiple linear regression, coefficient correlation, coefficient determination and hypothesis testing by F test and t test. The result of this study can be summarized as follows: 1. Indomaret brand image is good, Indomaret consumer perceptions have been good and consumers have agreed with the purchase decisoin made. 2. The results of regression analysis is Ý = 9,952 + 0,558X1 + 0,280X2, its means that brand image and consumer perceptions had a positive effect on purchasing decisions. 3. The results of the analysis correlations get value r = 0,855, it means that there is high and positive relationship between brand image, consumer perceptions to the purchasing decisions. And the cefficient of determination obtained value R Square = 0,730, it means that consumer purchasing decisions can be explained by the brand image and consumer perceptions of 73%. 4. The results of testing the hypothesis H0 is rejected, its means that brand image and consumer perceptions had a positive and significant effect to the purchasing decisions in PT Indomarco Prismatama (Indomaret) either simultaneously or partially. The suggestion of this research is to improve the brand image, to improve the brand image new innovations that make consumers comfortable shopping. To improve consumer perceptions should Indomaret pay attention to ceptetitors and always check the stock of goods inthe warehouse. While for purchasing decisions, need to improve new things like providing free wifi, ready-brewed coffee, and comfortable seating so that consumers feel comfortable shopping in PT Indomarco Prismatama (Indomaret). Abstract

ABSTRACT This activity is a community service activity in the form of socializing the importance of digital literacy in today's era. The purpose of implementing this webinar activity is to add insight in the application of digital literacy for educators and students in the digital era. This community service was conducted by presentation by zoom online with question and answers sessions for participants. This activity was held on September 10, 2021 online using the Zoom Meeting Application. This activity is a series of activities organized by KOMINFO and this activity was carried out in Pematangsiantar city via online which was attended by approximately 150 participants from various professions such as students, teachers, students, and parents. Through the implementation of this activity, the researchers hope that participants can be helped, especially in terms of education in the digital era. Participants gained an understanding of the critical nature of digital literacy in the modern era, as information technology and digital media can have both positive and negative consequences. Assumptions are considered in order to provide socialization and guidance to teachers in order to help them improve and develop their digital literacy skills, ensuring that the transformation of educational development proceeds smoothly and in accordance with the times' dynamics.  Keywords: Socialization, Digital Literacy, Digital Culture, Educators, Students

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of discipline on the performance of employees of the Community Health Center (Puskesmas) of Raya Pematangsiantar City. This research used the design of literature and field research. The research method used was the causality method with a quantitative approach. The type of data used in this study was qualitative and quantitative data. Data sources consisted of primary and secondary data. The population and sample used in this study were 34 permanent employees. Data collection was done by questionnaire, interview, and documentation. The analysis technique used was qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive analysis consisting of multiple linear regression, correlation test, the test of determination and hypothesis. The results of this study concluded that employee discipline and performance was good. Regarding the results of the hypothesis, it shows that discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

Objective. The purpose of this research is: To know the description of consumer perceptions, purchasing decisions, and consumer satisfaction at PT Garuda Makmur Sentosa Pematangsiantar. To determine the effect of consumer perceptions and purchasing decisions on consumer satisfaction at PT Garuda Makmur Sentosa Pematangsiantar. Research Methods. The research design used in writing this research is library research and field research. Data collection techniques used in this research are questionnaire method, interview method and documentation method. Results. Consumers agree with their perceptions, purchase decisions are good, and customer satisfaction is satisfied. The results of the regression analysis are = 8.302 + 0.448 X1 + 0.400 X2, meaning that consumer perceptions and purchasing decisions have a positive and significant effect on consumer satisfaction. The results of the correlation analysis obtained a value of r = 0.789, meaning that there is a strong and positive relationship between consumer perceptions and purchasing decisions with consumer satisfaction. The value of the coefficient of determination R = 0.623 means that the level of consumer satisfaction can be explained by consumer perceptions and purchasing decisions of 62.3%. The research hypothesis H0 is rejected, meaning that consumer perceptions and purchasing decisions have a positive and significant effect on consumer satisfaction at PT Garuda Makmur Sentosa Pematangsiantar either simultaneously or partially. Conclusion. The results of the qualitative descriptive analysis on perceptions both in terms of selective attention, selective distortion and selective retention got an average value of 3.85. Then the highest average value of 4.20 for the dimension of selective attention with an indicator of paying attention to banners. While the lowest average value is 3.27 on the selective retention dimension with indicators of previous experience and beliefs about product quality. The results of qualitative descriptive analysis on purchasing decisions both in terms of identifying the problem of needs, seeking information, evaluating alternatives, purchasing decisions, and post-purchase behavior got an average value of 3.96. Then the highest average value of 4.23 on the dimensions of purchasing decisions with indicators of consumer confidence. While the lowest average value of 3.17 on the dimensions of purchasing decisions with indicators of consumer decisions. The results of qualitative descriptive analysis on consumer satisfaction in terms of product and service quality, price structure, convenience of procedures, and consumer support got an average score of 3.96. The highest average value is 4.30 on the dimensions of product and service quality with product completeness indicators and also on the convenience dimension of procedures with service procedures indicators with the highest average value of 4.30. While the lowest average value is 3.27 on the dimension of consumer support with indicators of the speed of service provided and handling of complaints submitted.

Abstract

The urgency of the study is to analyze the effect of perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment, and facilitating conditions on the intention to use the TikTok application service in the generation Z group in Indonesia. This research instrument uses an online questionnaire distributed to 210 respondents who are none other than users of the TikTok application from the generation Z group. Next, the researchers tested the hypothesis using a variant-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) called Partial Least Square (PLS) and the SmartPLS version of the application. 3.0 as a tool to analyze it. The results of this research conclude that perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment and facilitating conditions have a positive and significant effect on intention to use. The results of this research prove that factors such as perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment, and facilitating conditions are important components in the formation of intention to use, so for TikTok application developers this can be taken into consideration for the improvement of TikTok application services in the future. Urgensi penelitian untuk menganalisis pengaruh perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment, dan facilitating conditions terhadap intention to use layanan aplikasi TikTok pada kelompok generasi Z di Indonesia. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner online yang dibagikan kepada 210 respoden yang tidak lain adalah pengguna aplikasi TikTok yang berasal dari kelompok generasi Z. Selanjutnya peneliti menguji hipotesis menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) berbasis varian yang disebut Partial Least Square (PLS) dan aplikasi SmartPLS versi 3.0 sebagai alat untuk menganalisisnya. Hasil dari riset ini menyimpulkan faktor perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment dan facilitating conditions berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap intention to use. Hasil riset ini membuktikan bahwa faktor seperti perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment, dan facilitating conditions merupakan komponen penting dalam pembentukkan intention to use, sehingga bagi pengembang aplikasi TikTok hal ini dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan pertimbangan guna penyempurnaaan layanan aplikasi TikTok di masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

Network connectivity, communication interaction, and technology enjoyment are the consumption of the digital generation.The application of learning media is interesting in the world of educational teaching especially in teaching reading. The objective of this research is to investigate the effect of gamification on students' reading ability. This research implemented quasi-experiment method with pre-test and post-test nonequivalent group design. In the experimental class, the students were taught using the gamification, while the control class was by conventional method. The researchers used cluster sampling where 24 students became the sample in experiment class and 12 students in control class respectively. The pretest and posttest were used as an instrument to collect data and the test scores were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 20. The results of independent t test showed the (3.334 > 1.694) and the average reading ability value of students taught using the gamification increased significantly. Therefore, gamification was recommended as one of the interesting efficient learning media in rectifying students' reading ability

Abstract

Professional teachers must be able to carry out dual roles as practitioners as well as researchers. As researchers, teachers are required to be able to improve the quality of learning through classroom action research to solve problems that occur in class. Even so, there are still many teachers who have not been able to carry out classroom action research properly. This community service is a classroom action research training activity for SMP Kota Pematang Siantar teachers. The purpose of this community service is to increase the ability and knowledge of SMP Kota Pematang Siantar teachers in writing class action research reports. This activity was carried out with the principles of heutagogy and direct practice. The activity was carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Pematang Siantar City on 17-22 January 2022 and was attended by 30 teachers from SMP Negeri 1 Pematang Siantar who were proposing a promotion to TMT April 2022. This community service activities were carried out through the stages of preparation, implementation and evaluation. At the preparatory stage, a pre-test was given and continued with the delivery of material related to the basic concepts of classroom action research. The implementation stage was accompanied by teacher assistance in compiling classroom action research reports based on the proposals prepared by the teacher as independent assignments. At the evaluation stage a post-test was carried out to measure the ability and knowledge of the teacher after attending the training. The evaluation results show that there were 28 reports generated from 30 participants as training outputs. In addition, there was an increase in the average score obtained from the results of the pre-test and post-test. Community service through classroom action research training has given positive results to increasing the competence of SMP Kota Pematang Siantar teachers in writing classroom action research.
