Abstract

Despite the fact that digital banks are the most recent financial service that provides online banking services without direct contact with customers, they have yet to transform the whole financial sector. This study was done in a quantitative manner utilizing primary data to investigate drivers of digital banking adoption by Gen Z using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT 2) approach. There was a total of 232 respondents participating in this study. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results show that social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivations, perceived value, and habit positively influence the Gen Z"™s behavioral intention to use the digital banks; while performance expectancy and effort expectancy show the opposite influence. Further, the behavioral intention also positively influences the Gen Z"™s use behavior of digital banks. To promote digital bank customer commitment and satisfaction, digital banking service providers are suggested to  increase the value of benefits outweighing  the costs borne by users, as well as to  improve service quality in terms of user friendliness.JEL: G40, O33.

Abstract

Creative thinking ability is one of the essential skills that students must possess and is also a mandatory competence in accordance with educational objectives. The low level of creative thinking ability among Grade X students at MAN 2 Lampung Utara is one of the main concerns of this study. The aim of this research is to determine how students' creative thinking ability is influenced by the open-ended learning paradigm and Adversity Quotient (AQ), and to examine how the interaction between the learning model and AQ affects creative thinking ability. All Grade X students at MAN 2 Lampung Utara were involved as research subjects, with Class X-4 serving as the control group and Class X-5 as the experimental group, selected through cluster random sampling. An essay test consisting of four questions, validated both by experts and empirically, was used to measure creative thinking ability. The Adversity Response Profile (ARP) instrument, consisting of 30 items, was used to assess AQ. Two-way ANOVA was employed to evaluate the data. The conclusions drawn from the analysis are as follows: (1) students' creative thinking ability is significantly influenced by the use of the open-ended learning model; (2) students' creative thinking ability is significantly influenced by AQ; and (3) no interaction was found between the variables.

Abstract

Poverty is the biggest problem facing the world today. Poverty is not just a statistical data, but in fact touches the lives of millions of people in the world. This study aims to examine the relationship between the Islamic Human Development Index (I-HDI), ICT, and Governance on poverty in D-8 countries in 2012-2022. D-8 countries are an association of developing Islamic countries in the world. In this study, the I-HDI value uses the Simple Weighted Index (SWI) by using a percentage of 20 on 5 dimensions of the index adjusted to the maqashid Sharia indicators. This research data uses 330 panel data and the research sample is selected through purposive sampling method in D-8 organization member countries. Based on this sampling method, 5 countries were selected as the object of this study, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt, Pakistan and Turkey. This research is processed through the Fixed Effect Model regression model. The regression model is used to test the relationship of 5 independent variables, namely I-HDI, Access to Information, Government Effectiveness (GE), Regulatory Quality (RQ), and Control of Corruption (CC) on the dependent variable, namely poverty. The results show that I-HDI, ICT, and Regulatory Quality (RQ) significantly reduce poverty. This study implies that D-8 member countries should use I-HDI as a measure of human development, maximize access to information technology, and improve regulatory quality to eradicate poverty.

Abstract

Objective: The implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in elementary schools brings significant changes in learning approaches, assessments, and the role of teachers. The background of this change is based on the need for an education system that is more flexible, student-centered, and able to accommodate the diverse potential of students. Method: The study used the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method on articles published between 2020 and 2024. The SLR process was conducted in a structured, transparent, and replicable manner to ensure the accuracy and consistency of the literature synthesis. Results: The study results show that most teachers welcome the Merdeka Curriculum because it provides flexibility in designing contextual learning. However, various obstacles have also been identified, such as teachers' limited understanding of the curriculum content, insufficient ongoing training, difficulties in adapting to new learning tools, and limited infrastructure and policy support in some regions. These obstacles highlight the urgent need to strengthen teachers' capacities through training, mentoring, and the provision of adequate resources. Novelty: The uniqueness of this study lies in its methodological contribution, namely the comprehensive application of the Systematic Literature Review method to synthesize literature on teachers' perspectives on the Merdeka Curriculum. This approach is rarely used in similar studies, providing a comprehensive and evidence-based overview that can serve as a reference for policy and learning practices.
