Abstract

The purpose of this study was to measure students' academic skills using a group survey model using Phet.. These skills can be acquired by adopting an appropriate learning model in terms of mastery of materials and skills.. A survey was conducted at Senior High School and information was obtained that students' learning results still needed to be higher. Students' learning outcomes can be improved by using learning models and media. The solution that can be done is to apply the GO type cooperative model using PhET simulation. This research is pseudo-experimental, posttest-only design. The population of this study were all XI science classes of Senior high scholl , registered in the 2022/2023 academic year. Sampling was done using a purposive sampling technique, grade XI IPA 1 and grade XI IPA 2  classes were selected as samples. The instruments used were posttest questions for knowledge-skills observables for attitudes and skills-skills, and the research hypothesis was tested using the t-test. Research results using t-test lead to the conclusion that in students' knowledge competency, the value of Tcounts 5,279> Ttable 1,994437. Regarding attitude competency, the value of T is 11,89> Ttable 1,994437. In the skill competency, the value of Tcount is 3,3580> Ttable 1,994437. This shows that the hypothesis is accepted. So, motivating in the form of a posttest can improve the learning outcomes of physics students in Class XI IPA at Senior high school in the 2022/2023 school year.

Abstract

The physics outcomes of learning by students cannot be said to be good due to several factors including the lack of activity and Students' participation in the learning process and the lack of understanding of students of teacher for material presented. To overcome this, an appropriate model of learning is needed to overcome the above problems by using the REACT model. The research purposewas to find out whether there was a influence in significant on the influence of the REACT model on the achievement of knowledge competence in physics learning at Class XI SMAN 6 Padang. This research type includes Quasi Experiment Research. The research design used was the Posttess-Only Control Design. The research population were all class XI MIPA. The technique for sampling used was Purposive Sampling. Data on students' knowledge competency achievement were taken through the posttest using multiple choice questions. Based on the research data, The average value was discovered of the knowledge competency of the class for experimental was 81.94 and that of the class for control was 76.22. By carrying out a similarity test of two averages on knowledge competence at a significant level of 0.05, tcount > ttable is obtained. Thus the research results got conclussion that there is a influence in significant on the effect of the REACT model on the achievement of knowledge competence in learning physics at class XI SMAN 6 Padang.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of a problem-based learning model supported by PhET media on student physics learning results. This research conducted at Senior High School 6 PadangThe type of study conducted was a design of quasi-experimental. The study design used was a posttest-only control design. Samples were selected from Class X IPA Senior High School Number 6 Padang, the study population for the 2021/2022 school year, using a targeted technique of sampling. XI IPA 1 class as the experimental class and XI IPA 2 as the control class. The data collection instrument used is a test instrument. The analysis of data techniques used are descriptive statistical analysis the tes are, normality, homogeneity, and U test (Mann-Whitney). From the research data analysis, the experimental class's average value was 80.69, higher than the control class, 62.14. The results of hypothesis testing obtained zcount = 7.24 and ztabel = 1.96 by the Ho rejection criteria, namely, reject Ho if zcount <-ztabel or zcount>ztabel. The conclusion that the effect of learning problem-based model in static fluid learning using LKPD Based on PhET on physics learning results at Senior High School number 6 Padang.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires teachers to be skilled in the process of learning which makes students more active in learning activities. The solution to overcome this problem is to develop physics worksheets with scientific literacy using a constructivist approach. This study aims to produce worksheets filled with scientific literacy using a constructivist approach to parabolic motion for class X high school that is valid and practical. This research is a Research and Development research type using the Plomp development model. The development process in this study is limited to one-to-one practicality which ada at the development stage which functions to see the practicality of the product being made. Validation was carried out by 3 physics lecturers from UNP Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and practicality was carried out by teachers and students senior high school. The data collection instruments in this study are validity and practicality sheets. The data analysis technique for product validation uses the Aiken's V index. Based on data analysis from the research that has been done, it can be determined the results of the study, namely the validity results of the worksheet with score in average of 0.92 in the category in medium and practicality with an average of 89.7%. . So, it can be concluded that physics worksheets with scientific literacy using a constructivist approach to parabolic motion are appropriate for use by teachers and students in the process of learning..

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan studi ini adalah mengetahui kebutuhan terhadap media pembelajaran berbasis ICT. Analisis kebutuhan dilaksanakan karena rendahnya minat belajar siswa terhadap pembelajaran fisika dan rendahnya prestasi belajar siswa dalam pelajaran fisika.  Studi dilakukan di SMA Negeri 6 Padang kelas X MIPA 3. studi ini menggunakan metode studi deskriptif kualitatif. Untuk memperoleh informasi, peneliti menyebarkan angket atau kuisoner secara langsung. Hasil studi ini menyatakan bahwa kebutuhan akan media pembelajaran berbasis ICT sangat diperlukan oleh siswa dengan persentase rata – rata 85,1% namun  sarana dan prasarana seperti akses internet terbatas menjadi hambatannya . Maka dari itu dibutuhkan media pembelajaran berbasis ICT yang bisa dipergunakan tanpa akses internet dan bisa disemua device smartphone  siswa dan guru. Media pembelajaran berbasis ICT tersebut bisa seperti bahan ajar elektronik, virtual laboratory atau game pembelajaran yang diharapkan mampu meningkatkan semangat belajar dan prestasi siswa. Kata kunci: analisis kebutuhan; media pembelajaran; ICT ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to determine the need for ICT-based learning media. A needs analysis was carried out because of the low interest of students in learning physics and low student achievement in physics subjects. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 6 Padang class X MIPA 3. This study used a qualitative descriptive study method. To obtain information, researchers distribute questionnaires or questionnaires directly. The results of this study state that the need for ICT-based learning media is needed by students with an average percentage of 85.1%, but facilities and infrastructure such as limited internet access are the obstacle. Therefore, ICT-based learning media is needed which can be used without internet access and can be used on all student and teacher smartphone devices. ICT-based learning media can be electronic teaching materials, virtual laboratories, or learning games which are expected to increase student enthusiasm for learning and achievement. Keywords: need analysist; learning media; ICT

Abstract

 The 21st century demands quality human resources and they have good performance. The goal of the 21st century is to produce people who have the ability to think critically, have strong character, and use information and communication technology. This ability can be developed in the integrated science learning process. However, the implementation of integrated science learning in schools and the integration of learning materials in integrated science books were still low. The solution to the problem was to use integrated science learning material of the excretory and respiratory system with a CTL strategy known as relating, experiencing, applying, cooperating, transferring or REACT. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of using science learning material on the theme of the integrated excretory and respiratory system with REACT strategy to develop the academic performance of grade VIII students. The design of this research was a non-equivalent control group design with only posttest. The subject in this research was grade VIII students of SMPN 8 Padang. The instrument for collecting data consists of three parts, namely a multiple-choice written test to measure knowledge, an observation sheet to measure attitudes, and a performance assessment sheet to measure discovery skills.Research data for aspects of knowledge, attitudes, and discovery skills have a normal distribution and homogeneous variance. For this reason, a two-mean comparison test for two independent sample groups was used to determine differences in academic performance for these three aspects.The important result of this research is that the use of integrated science learning material with REACT strategy of the excretory and respiratory system theme has a significant effect on the academic performance of students in terms of knowledge, attitudes, and discovery skills

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students' science communication, the cause of the low ability of students' science communication because the teaching materials used by teachers in schools are less effective and quite difficult to understand. This study aims to see the effect the use of context-based physics learning e-modules on optical instruments and global warming for class XI Senior high school. The subjects of this study were all students of class XI Natural Science Mathematics Senior High School. Sampling was carried out using simple random sampling technique, by selecting class XI Natural Science Mathematics 1 as the experimental class and XI Natural Science Mathematics 2 as the control class. The research instrument is a non-test in the form of an observation sheet of scientific communication skills. The data research technique used in hypothesis testing is the t-test. The results showed that the average science communication ability of the experimental class students was higher than that of the control class. The results of testing the assumptions using the t-test, obtained ???? count of 61.10 and ???? table with a significance level of 0.05 with a table value of 1.669. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of the use of context-based physics learning e-modules on students' science communication skills in the material of optical instruments and global warming class XI Senior High School

Abstract

Teaching aids are a component of learning. Teaching aids are resources for both teachers and students. However, in reality, teachers who continue to employ the direct learning paradigm have limited access to educational resources and achieve poor student learning outcomes, for example, while teaching rotational dynamics and rigid body equilibrium. This study intends to assess the viability of a project-based physics module for senior high school class XI's rotational dynamics and equilibrium of a rigid body. This kind of research is known as design research. The research techniques used were self-evaluation assessment sheets, expert validation sheets. The product validation data analysis approach employs Aiken's V index. Research findings indicate that the rigid body project-based learning module on rotational dynamics and equilibrium has an astounding average module validation grade of 0.83 in the very good. The rotational dynamics and equilibrium of a rigid body material project-based learning combined with local knowledge module for physics may therefore be inferred to be appropriate for usage by instructors and students throughout the learning process

Abstract

 The use of school facilities and infrastructure has not been used optimally. One of them is rarely using practicum KIT because of the teacher's lack of time to develop worksheets. Schools still apply literacy in reading, writing and numeracy and have not implemented scientific literacy. This application can be done with scientific literacy integrated worksheets for the use of physics practical KIT on dynamic fluid material which is considered in the validity test and practicality. The type of research is research and development (R&D) using the Borg & Gall model in Sugiyono's book. The initial data collection instruments used were questionnaires and interviews conducted by teachers and students. The validation test was carried out by 3 experts, namely Physics lecturers Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Padang State University and the practicality test was carried out by 2 Physics teachers and 36 students of class XI science 3. The analytical technique used was descriptive analysis technique. The results of this study obtained a product in the form of student worksheets integrated with scientific literacy for the use of physics practicum KIT on dynamic fluid material. based on product data analysis, a validity value of 0.85 was obtained in the very valid category and the practicality values ​​of teachers and students were 87% and 90.25% respectively in the very practical category. Thus it shows that the worksheet is integrated with scientific literacy using the physics practicum KIT on dynamic fluid material that is feasible to use in the physics learning process.

Abstract

The facts found in the field are that literacy activities have not been implemented properly and the lack of teaching materials for the implementation of practicum in the laboratory. One way that can be conducted to finish this is the Development of Integrated Scientific Literacy Worksheets for the Use of Physics Practicum KIT on Unidirectional Electrical Materials. The purpose of this research was to reveal the feasibility of the student worksheet developed. The research type conducted was Research and Development. The data sources of this study were the validator team, physics teachers and students of Senior High School in Padang. The instruments for data collection used were sheets for validation, sheets for practicality, and sheets for effectiveness in the form of student outcomes of learning tests for the assessment of scientific literacy skills. The technique of data analysis used is analysis in descriptive and correlation test analysis. Based on the analysis of data, results of three research were presented. First, the student worksheet with a validation value of 0.88 is a very valid category. Second, student worksheet with student and teacher practicality score of 92.25% and 95.90% with very practical category. Third, the use of student worksheet is effective in learning physics to improve student learning outcomes. From this study it can be concluded that the scientific literacy integrated worksheet for the use of physics practicum KIT on unidirectional electricity is valid, practical and effective to use in physics learning.
