Abstract

Abstrak: Masa remaja merupakan periode terjadinya pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang pesat. Data survei demografi dan kesehatan reproduksi remaja (KRR) berada pada usia 15-19 tahun, proporsi terbesar berpacaran pertama kali pada usia < 15 tahun. 33,3% remaja perempuan dan 34,5% remaja laki-laki. Pada usia tersebut dikhawatirkan belum memiliki ketrampilan hidup (life skills) yang memadai, sehingga berisiko memiliki perilaku pacaran yang tidak sehat (hubungan seks pranikah). Tujuan pengabdian untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja putri tentang kesehatan reproduksi, siklus menstruasi menggunakan Menstrual Circle Book. Metode yang digunakan adalah berupa pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi pada remaja putri dan pendekatan individual dilakukan pada saat penghitungan siklus menstruasi dengan menggunakan Menstrual Circle Book. Khalayak sasaran adalah remaja putri berjumlah 16. Hasil kegiatan dari 16 remaja putri, 4 orang (25%) mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan setelah diberikan pendidikan kesehatan, dan 12 orang (75%) dengan pengetahuan tetap.Abstract: Adolescence is a period of rapid growth and development. Demographic survey data and adolescent reproductive health (KRR) are at the age of 15-19 years, the largest proportion of which is dating for the first time at the age of <15 years. 33.3% of girls and 34.5% of boys. At that age, it is feared that they do not have adequate life skills, so they are at risk of having unhealthy dating behavior (premarital sex). The purpose of the service is to increase the knowledge of young women about reproductive health, menstrual cycles using the Menstrual Circle Book. The method used is in the form of reproductive health education for young women and an individual approach is carried out when calculating the menstrual cycle using the Menstrual Circle Book. The target audience is 16 young women. The results of the activities of 16 young women, 4 people (25%) experienced an increase in knowledge after being given health education, and 12 people (75%) with permanent knowledge.

Abstract

The Healthy Community Movement (Germas) is a systematic and planned action that is carried out jointly by all components of the nation with awareness, willingness and ability to behave in a healthy manner to improve the quality of life. The purpose of community service is the socialization of healthy community movement in the era of adaptation to new habits of Covid-19 in collaboration with the Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu with Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Amurang, South Minahasa, North Sulawesi. The Participatory Action Research activity method is in the form of socialization and education based on theory and practice related to proper and proper hand washing, proper and proper use of masks, distribution of masks, hand sanitizers and soap and COVID-19 vaccination. The Healthy Community Movement socialization presented resource person Felly Estelita Runtuwene, SE Chair of Commission IX DPR RI in Amurang, South Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi, Monday, October 23, 2021. The participants were 200 people from the South Minahasa community, North Sulawesi Province. After the socialization activity, participants understood Germas better during the Covid-19 period. Implementation of healthy community movement socialization in the Era of Adaptation to New Covid-19 Habits The collaboration between the Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu in Palu and Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Amurang, Minahasa, South, North Sulawesi, went well and public health achievements increased.   ABSTRAK Germas merupakan suatu tindakan sistematis dan terencana yang dilakukan secara bersama-sama oleh seluruh komponen bangsa dengan kesadaran, kemauan dan kemampuan berperilaku sehat untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup. Tujuan Pengabdian masyarakat adalah sosialisasi Germas di era adaptasi kebiasaan baru Covid-19 kerjasama Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu dengan Komisi IX DPR RI di Amurang Minahasa Selatan Sulawesi Utara. Metode kegiatan Participatory Action Research berupa sosialisasi dan edukasi berbasis teori dan praktik terkait cara mencuci tangan yang baik dan benar, cara memakai masker yang baik dan benar, pembagian masker, hand sanitizer dan sabun serta vaksinasi covid-19. Sosialisasi Germas menghadirkan narasumber Felly Estelita Runtuwene, SE Ketua Komisi IX DPR RI di Amurang Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan Sulawesi Utara pada Senin 23 Oktober 2021. Peserta sebanyak 200 orang berasal dari masyarakat Minahasa Selatan Provinsi Sulawesi Utara. Setelah kegiatan sosialisasi, peserta semakin memahami Germas di masa Covid-19. Pelaksanaan Sosialisasi Germas di Era Adaptasi Kebiasaan Baru Covid-19 Kerjasama Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu dengan Komisi IX DPR RI di Amurang Minahasa Selatan Sulawesi Utara berjalan dengan baik dan capaian kesehatan masyarakat meningkat.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tumor payudara telah banyak ditemukan pada usia muda, hanya sekitar 5% saja tumor payudara yang ditemukan pada usia di atas 50 tahun. Tumor pada payudara dapat berpotensi menjadi kanker payudara bila tidak terdeteksi lebih awal. Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk memberikan Pendidikan dan pelatihan SADARI pada remaja putri agar siap mendeteksi dini kanker payudara. Mitra pada kegiatan ini adalah Pustu Pombewe, wilayah kerja Puskesmas Biromaru Kabupaten sigi, Sulawesi Tengah. Metode yang digunakan berupa penyuluhan dan praktikum tentang cara melakukan SADARI. Terdapat 20 orang remaja putri yang hadir mengikuti kegiatan ini. Tingkat pengetahuan remaja putri di ukur menggunakan kuesioner sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan dan praktikum. Hasil yang diperoleh terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan sebanyak 50% dari sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan penyuluhan dan praktikum. Tingkat pengetahuan pre-test memiliki pengetahuan baik sejumlah 35% dan kurang sejumlah 65% sedangkan tingkat pengetahuan post-test memiliki tingkat pengetahuan baik sejumlah 85% dan kurang sejumlah 15%.Abstract: Breast tumors have been found a lot at a young age, only about 5% of breast tumors are found at the age of over 50 years. Tumors in the breast can potentially become breast cancer if not detected earlier. The purpose of this service is to provide SADARI education and training to young women to be ready to detect breast cancer early. The partner in this activity is Pustu Pombewe, the working area of the Biromaru Health Center, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi. The methods used are in the form of counseling and practicum on how to do SADARI. There were 20 young women who attended this activity. The level of knowledge of young women is measured using questionnaires before and after counseling and practicum. The results obtained there was an increase in knowledge by 50% from before and after counseling and practicum. The pre-test knowledge level has a good knowledge of 35% and less than 65% while the post-test knowledge level has a good knowledge level of 85% and less than 15%.

Abstract

Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu has 131 authors on the Sinta Kemendikbud website. There are still many authors who have not had a sinta score in the last three years. The aim of the training in writing scientific papers for the academic community at the Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu is to improve the ability to write quality scientific papers. The activity was carried out on January 4-5 2023 in the meeting room of the Center for Research and Community Service, the Ministry of Health, Palu Health Polytechnic. There were 4 resource persons and 41 participants, Lecturers of the Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health, Palu. The implementation method is through lectures, writing practice, practice using publish or perish and practice using Mendeley. The activity was held in the PPM Central Hall. The material is preparing scientific article manuscripts, practical writing of scientific articles, practice of citation of journal articles through publish or perish and publication using a letter of editor” is given. The results of the community service activities showed an increase in the publication of letters to editors by 14 articles published from 17 January to 5 May 2023. The conclusion of the activity was that participants were able to publish letter to editor articles. It is recommended that participants continue to practice writing skills and try to submit or publish manuscripts independently.

Abstract

Background: Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, is a malignant tumor that grows in breast tissue. Data from the Health Office of Central Sulawesi, the percentage of tumors/lumps in 2018 was 0.18%. in 2019 0.2%. in 2020 increased 0.4%. One of the efforts to detect breast cancer early is BSE. Purpose To know the effect of health education on the level of knowledge and attitudes of young women about early detection of breast cancer through Breast Self Examination in the Huntap Tondo area. Methods The type of research is quasi-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The research sample was young women aged 14-19 years totaling 55 respondents taken by purposive sampling. The research instrument used a standardized questionnaire with a total of 20 knowledge questions and 10 attitudes. The research was conducted on 2-5 July in Huntap Tondo. The analysis used the Wilcoxon signed rank test. Results showed that the knowledge of young women with a mean pretest value of 9.6 and a mean posttest value of 17.3 (p = 0.000 <0.05). The attitude of young women with a mean pretest value of 20.8 and a mean posttest value of 35.7 (p = 0.000 <0.05). Conclusion There is an effect of health education on the knowledge and attitudes of young women about early detection of breast cancer through Breast Self-Examination. It is expected that young women in the Huntap Tondo area will continue to improve their knowledge and attitudes toward preventing breast cancer by participating in counseling and being active in youth Posyandu activities.

Abstract

Background Data in the working area of the Ongka Health Center UPTD Based on Toddlers aged 24-59 months totaled 826 toddlers with 77 stunted toddlers (9.3%). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the risk of stunting in toddlers aged 24-59 months in the UPTD Work Area of the Ongka Health Center. Methods Case-control method, the population of all mothers who have toddlers at the Ongka Health Center is 826 toddlers. Sample with a ratio of 1:2, the case group is 77 toddlers who are stunted and the control group is 154 toddlers who are not stunted, the sample size is 77+154 = 231, toddlers. The instrument used is secondary data on the history of exclusive breastfeeding for toddlers. Univariate data analysis using frequency distribution and bivariate with Chi-Square test. The result of the statistical test for the p-value is 0.003 with a significant value of ≤0.05. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the risk of stunting in toddlers aged 24-59 months in the working area of the UPTD Puskesmas Ongka. Health workers are expected to increase the provision of information and attention to the risk factors for exclusive breastfeeding with the incidence of stunting and increase the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in the work area of the Service Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) of the Ongka Health Center.
