Abstract

The flash flood disaster hit Galumpang Village, Aung Village and Bajungan Village in Tolitoli Regency, Central Sulawesi on Wednesday morning 23 March 2022. Due to the large number of victims of flash floods and the urgent needs of victims of flash floods, the Civitas Academic of Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu provided humanitarian aid for victims of flash floods in Tolitoli Regency, Central Sulawesi. Humanitarian assistance in the form of ready-to-eat food, rice, Toothpaste, Soap, Sunlight, Shampoo, Sweetened Condensed Milk, Tea, Sugar, Bucket, Dipper, Mask and Pampers Children under two. The assistance was handed over by the Chief Community Service Officer to the Head of Galumpang Village on April 1, 2022 at the Disaster Management Command Post in Galumpang Village, Dakopamean District, Tolitoli Regency, Central Sulawesi. The flash flood victim’s community as beneficiaries have received assistance from the Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu Academic Community through Community Service activities.   ABSTRAK Bencana banjir bandang telah menghantam Desa Galumpang, Desa Aung dan Desa Bajungan di Kabupaten Tolitoli, Sulawesi Tengah pada Rabu dini hari tanggal 23 Maret 2022. Oleh karena besarnya jumlah korban banjir bandang dan kebutuhan korban banjir bandang yang mendesak, maka Civitas Akademika Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu memberikan bantuan kemanusiaan korban banjir bandang di Kabupaten Tolitoli Sulawesi Tengah. Bantuan kemanusian berupa makanan siap saji, beras, Pasta Gigi, Sabun, Sunlight, Shampoo, Susu Kental Manis, Teh, Gula Pasir, Ember, Gayung, masker dan Pampers Baduta. Bantuan diserahkan oleh Ketua Pelaksana Pengabdian Masyarakat kepada Kepala Desa Galumpang pada tanggal 01 April 2022 di Posko Induk Penanggulangan Bencana Desa Galumpang Kecamatan Dakopamean Kabupaten Tolitoli, Sulawesi Tengah. Masyarakat korban banjir bandang sebagai penerima manfaat telah menerima bantuan dari Civitas Akademika Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu melalui kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat.

Abstract

The earthquake, tsunami, and liquefaction natural disasters that occurred in Palu, Sigi Biromaru on September 28, 2018, were national disasters that infrastructure affected the buildings including schools. Besides the psychological impact on school children. Labuan Baru Public Elementary School is located not far from the coast of the tsunami. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct earthquake and tsunami disaster preparedness training for school children. The purpose of this service is to improve the ability of students of SDN 7 Labuan Baru about earthquake and tsunami natural disaster preparedness in school-based disaster management. The target of this activity is 100 SDN Labuan Baru students grade IV-VI totaling 100 people. The service was held on November 24, 2018, which involved a dataset from the Poltekkes Kemenkes Denpasar and also involved D-III students in Palu Nursing and D-IV Palu Nursing. The training method is a lecture conducted in a tent and a simulation conducted in an open field. After the training has been carried out, students know what to do when an earthquake occurs, which is protecting the head with their hands or hiding under a table, away from the glass, and running to an open or higher place. Abstract

Abstract : An increasing of customer’s awareness and an emphasis of health service outcomes.  Patients increasingly demand for health care providers including nurses in order to provide professional services. Nursing documentation is a proof of professional nursing services. Professional accoutabilty and responsibilty is one of the important reasons to make accurate documentation. The nurse must make an accurate and complete medical record concerning nursing care which given to the client. The Nurse’s motivation is one of the factors that encourages someone to do somehing including carrying out nursing documentation. The research objective was to nalyze the factors associated with the nurse’s motivation in documentation of nursing care in Sickrooms of Madani Palu General Hopital. The research method utilized analytical with crossectional study disign. The population was 56 nurses who officiate in Sickrooms of Madani General Hospital. The sample was 56 nurses, and the data was collected by questionnaire. The data analysis utilized univariate and bivariate alaysis with Chi Square test. The research finding was obtained there was no significant correlation among education level (p = 1.00), Gender (p = 1.00), length on work (p = 0.34), employment status (p = 0.86), Hospital regulation (p = 0.96), work conditions (p = 0.07) with nurse’s motivation in documentation of nursing care (Ho accepted). Whereas supervision variable (p = 0.005) and rewards (p = 0.000) meant that there was significant correlation among supervision and reward variables with nurse’s motivation in documentation of nursing care (Ho was rejected). It can be concluded that variables which has a significant correlation with nurse’s motivation in recording of nursing care are supervison and reward. It is suggested to the Management of Madani General Hospital to improve documentation of complete nursing cares is required a regular supervison to the nurses and also provide an appropriate rewards for them who carry out documentation properly.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Diabetes Mellitus merupakan penyakit degenerative yang ditandai dengan kadar gula darah tinggi dengan jumlah penyandang tertimbang untuk penduduk semua umur di Indonesia sebanyak 1.017.290 penduduk. Kendala utama pada penanganan diet diabetes mellitus adalah kejenuhan dalam mengikuti terapi diet oleh karena itu sangat diperlukan adanya dukungan keluarga guna meningkatkan kepatuhan diet penderita diabetes mellitus tipe II . Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan secara umum adalah menganalisis hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan kepatuhan diet pada pasien Diabetes Mellitus Tipe II. Metode: Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah literature review, dengan mereview sebanyak 6 jurnal yang telah ditetapkan oleh peneliti dari 42 jurnal yang mendekati kriteria inklusi dan diperoleh dari hasil pencarian dalam situs web Google Scholar dan PubMed serta terpublikasi tahun 2017-2021. Hasil: Hasil dari analisis penelitian ini diketahui bahwa dukungan keluarga menjadi salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kepatuhan diet pasien diabetes mellitus tipe II. Adapun dukungan keluarga yang dapat diberikan diantaranya dukungan emosional, dukungan informasional, dukungan instrumentral, dan dukungan penghargaan atau penilaian. Kesimpulan: Kesimpulan dari hasil tersebut ada hubungan yang signifikan antara dukungan keluarga dengan kepatuhan diet pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe II.

Abstract

The preparation of individual equipment in reproductive health mitigation during disasters is not known by the community. The people of Sibalaya Village have never received education on reproductive health mitigation kits during disasters. The purpose of community service is to prepare the community in reproductive health mitigation during disasters in Sibalaya Village, Tanambulawa Sub-district, Sigi, Central Sulawesi. The service method is health education and demonstration on reproductive health mitigation kits. The service was carried out in North and South Sibalaya Villages, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi, from October 19 to October 24, 2022. The target audience are pregnant women, mothers with toddlers, adolescent girls, and couples of reproductive age, with a total of 38 participants. The education media used a PowerPoint presentation with an LCD projector. Evaluation was conducted through pre and post-tests using a questionnaire. The service results showed that 100% of participants knew about the risk groups during disasters, >70% knew about the color of the kit, 92.11% knew about the contents of the kit, and 97.37% knew about the availability of transportation during referrals. The post-test was conducted by asking participants directly, and those who answered correctly were given a reproductive health mitigation kit as a prize. Two participants were able to demonstrate the use of the mitigation kit. The conclusion of the service is that there is an increase in knowledge, and participants can demonstrate the use of reproductive health mitigation kits. It is recommended to form a village reproductive health mitigation team and provide training.

Abstract

Seluruh wilayah Indonesia merupakan daerah yang rawan bencana termasuk Palu, Sigi dan Donggala. Tanggal 28 September 2018 telah terjadi gempa bumi, tsunami dan likuifaksi yang menelan banyak korban jiwa serta membuat sebagian dari masyarakat harus menjadi pengungsi dan tinggal di huntara. Banyaknya korban jiwa pada peristiwa tersebut karena kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang kesiapsiagaan bencana termasuk persiapan pra bencana, saat bencana dan pasca bencana. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengetahuan dan sikap masyarakat dalam kesiapsiagaan menghadapi bencana gempa bumi dan tsunami pada pengungsi di Huntara Palu dan Sigi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Cara pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 96 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengetahuan masyarakat menghadapi bencana bumi yang baik 28 orang (58,3%), kurang baik 20 orang (41,7%). Pengetahuan pada pasca bencana 100% kurang baik. Pengetahuan menghadapi bencana tsunami yang baik 34 orang (70,8%), kurang baik 14 orang (29,2%). Sikap masyarakat menghadapi bencana gempa bumi yang baik dan kurang baik sama yaitu 24 orang (50%), sikap mengahadapi bencana tsunami yang baik 26 orang (54,2%), kurang baik 22 orang (45,8%). Kesimpulan penelitian ini pengetahuan dan sikap masyarakat dalam menghadapi bencana gempa bumi dan tsunami lebih banyak yang baik. Jika dilihat pengetahuan tentang pasca bencana gempa bumi semuanya kurang baik. Disarankan kepada Pemda Kota Palu dan Pemda Kabupaten Sigi untuk secara rutin memberikan penyuluhan dan simulasi tentang kesiapsiagaan bencana gempa bumi dan tsunami.

Abstract

Stunting is caused by multidimensional factors so that the handling needs to be done by multisectoral or interprofessional collaborations. Central Sulawesi is an area that still has many health problems regarding nutrition, in preventing various problems related to stunting, the role of the family and community plays a very important role in the recovery phase. The roles and functions of families and communities greatly affect the health conditions of individuals, families, groups, and communities. The results of the mentoring and assessment that became a problem were the provision of complementary feeding. The provision of appropriate complementary feeding according to recommendations and utilizing local wisdom can help prevent stunting, and can introduce healthy eating habits for mothers and children under two by utilizing nutritious food found in their environment. In addition, as an effort to make significant progress in improving the health and quality of children, especially in Indonesia. Conclusions in the handling of stunting, each team shall have the duty and authority so that there is no overlap. Teams of health workers who work for the handling of stunting are nutritionists, midwives, nurses and Promkes, village head. Each has their own duties and powers. The achievement targets for this community service are Modules and Intellectual Property Rights.

Abstract

Kabupaten Donggala merupakan salah satu kabupaten yang berada di provinsi Sulawesi Tengah dengan jumlah Puskesmas sebanyak 18 unit. Tahun 2022 jumlah balita di kabupaten Donggala sebanyak 29.583 orang. Dari jumlah tersebut balita yang mendapat pelayanan penimbangan berat badan sebanyak 21.150 orang (71,5%), balita yang memiliki buku KIA dan dilakukan pemantuan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan sebanyak 21.077 orang (71,25%) serta dilakukan SDIDTK 19.784 orang (66,88%). Pemantauan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan balita sudah dilaksanakan tetapi hanya sebatas menimbang berat badan saja, demikian juga pelayanan SDIDTK sudah dilakukan tetapi interpretasi hasil SDIDTK belum dilaksanakan secara maksimal, karena masih terbatasnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan sumber daya manusia yang melaksanakan di Posyandu serta sarana prasarana yang dimiliki. Selain itu masih terbatasnya pemahaman dan minat orang tua untuk membawa anak balitanya untuk mendapatkan pelayanan SDIDTK, Oleh karena itu pemantauan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada balita harus terus dikawal karena indikator ini memiliki peran signifikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas kesehatan anak serta ikut berperan dalam menurunkan angka kecacatan dan kematian pada anak. Dengan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh Dosen Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu dapat meningkatkan mutu layanan pada balita karena melibatkan kolaborasi antara Dosen Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu dengan pihak Puskesmas Toaya.

Abstract

Elderly individuals generally undergo various physical and health changes. They tend to be more susceptible to various chronic diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, and neurological disorders like dementia. Therefore, they require specialized care and ongoing monitoring. These efforts can help prevent diseases and enhance the quality of life for the elderly. Some of the main issues frequently faced by elderly individuals living in nursing homes are related to their health, including chronic diseases, mental disorders, and physical decline. The goal of this community service is to make a tangible contribution to improving elderly healthcare services through collaboration between the community service team and the staff of the independent living facility.The target of this community service team is 63 elderly individuals residing at PTSW Madago Tentena. The results of the community service activities indicate that most of the elderly residents at PTSW suffer from chronic diseases, including 13 individuals (20.64%) with diabetes mellitus, 41 (65.1%) with hypertension, 2 (3.2%) with severe cognitive impairment, and 5 (7.9%) with mild cognitive impairment. The health status is categorized as severe for 8 (12%), moderate for 30 (48%), and mild for 25 (40%). Therefore, the outcomes of this community service can serve as a reference for the nursing home staff to strive for improved health among the elderly and collaborate with other institutions to provide healthcare services in the facility.
