Abstract

The Indonesian adolescents’ knowledge on the subject of puberty is very limited according to a national data survey. This is the reason this study aims to increase knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of healthy living during the puberty phase through the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) method of classroom action research with cyclical procedures. The participants were 20 students and a teacher of fifth-year at the elementary school; meanwhile, the object was knowledge about puberty, collected through test questions and observations. The data analysis technique was conducted in a quantitative and qualitative descriptive manner, and the result showed that the method used was able to improve the knowledge, attitudes, and healthy living behavior of fifth-grade students in SDIT Mutiara Insan. This is evident in the pre-cycle with a percentage of 5.3%, which further increased to 15.8% in the first cycle, while in the second cycle, it increased to 94.7%.

Abstract

Online learning is an online or face-to-face learning system, using the internet network, with the help of media such as laptops, computers and smartphones. This Learning System is one of the learning options carried out during and after the Covid-19 pandemic. So that it becomes a concern for all of us, including student groups. One of the efforts to find out the effectiveness of online learning is by doing research. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of implementing online learning for students. The method we use is descriptive method, namely using data collection techniques by surveying via Google form. The samples used in this study were 78 students. The results of this study indicate that online learning is quite effective, because there are still many obstacles faced so that learning is not in accordance with its achievements. The conclusion from this study is that in the future online learning must be improved with better and more varied learning media.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively explain and understand the types and approaches of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research that are often used by researchers. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method using literature review with the aim of describing, explaining, and analyzing each social phenomenon. The results of the discussion show that the qualitative research approach provides an understanding of social phenomena based on meaning and context, the quantitative research approach emphasizes data measurement, variables, and statistical data analysis to test the validity of hypotheses, while the mixed methods research approach is a combination of both qualitative and quantitative approaches with the aim of producing more complete and valid research.
