Abstract

Spiritual well-being has an important role for individuals in dealing with mental health problems and quality of life. The aim of this research is to explore various interventions to improve individual spiritual well-being to help overcome difficult situations, reduce stress and help achieve balance in life. Methodology: This research adopts an approachscoping review with the framework developed by Arksey and O'Malley. Research includes searching articles through databases Google Scholar and Spingerlink with the keyword "Spiritual well-being"AND"Intervention." Results: Research using the PRISMA method with data sources from Google Scholar and Spingerlink produced a total of 20,348 articles. The articles were then filtered based on the inclusion criteria, namely using English with a range of 2018-2023 regarding interventions to improve spiritual well-being which resulted in 14 articles that met the requirements. Conclusion: Research shows that there are 6 (six) interventions in the form of spiritual counseling, psychospiritual intervention, spiritual care intervention, mindfulness intervention, spiritual group therapy and music therapy which have been proven to improve spiritual well-being. These interventions have been shown to be important in addressing spiritual distress and improving spiritual well-being, which can accelerate mental health recovery and achieve spiritual well-being.

Abstract

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic is a disease globally that affects acute ischemic stroke patient ability to survive from adversity. Self-management is needed to determine the readiness of patients with ischemic stroke acute to recover from physical weakness during the pandemic COVID-19. Objective: To describe the case of resilience in conveying the readiness for enhancing of self-health management patient ischemic stroke acute during the pandemic COVID-19. Clinical observation: An evaluation was about readiness to accept health management during the pandemic COVID-19 in patients with stroke ischemic acute. The important things to readiness of health management: self-acceptance, family support, and self-exercise at home. Interventions: Focused on health education to do self-exercise during the pandemic COVID-19 to recover them due to limb weakness. Conclusion: Outcome criteria showed that there was increasing in exercise to reduce the risk factor, implementation of a self-care program, and life activity more effectively to fulfill health goal increase.

Abstract

Leprosy has been a world health problem, a particularly psychosocial burden in the productive age group of people with disability (18-64 years), who are at risk of experiencing a degree of depression. The degree of depression in Leprosy patients is an essential concern for nurses and other health professionals to succeed the health care services, as a matter of consideration to prevent further severe transmission. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the depression degree in Leprosy productive age patients (18-64 years) in one of a regional public hospital in Jawa Tengah. The type of research was a non-experimental descriptive quantitative research design with a survey approach. This research was conducted on 60 respondents of Leprosy clinic outpatients and inpatients. This research used the WHO Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale questionnaire for a degree of depression. The data were presented in narration and percentages. The study showed that 40 respondents did not experience depression (66,7%), 15 respondents had mild depression (25,0%), four respondents had moderate (6,7%), and one respondent had severe depression (1,7%). Based on these results, depression is a predisposed problem experienced by productive-age-patients who need nurses’ role to identify the degree of depression early so that the other effect of depression can be prevented.

Abstract

Pendahuluan : Remaja telah diketahui berada pada peningkatan risiko infeksi baru dan tingkat kegagalan pengobatan yang lebih tinggi. Selain dampak pengobatan yang buruk, rendahnya dukungan sosial, dan masalah kesehatan mental juga mendukung temuan tersebut. Tujuan: Menggambarkan dampak pengobatan TBC terhadap kesejahteraan remaja. Metode: Review ini menggunakan pendekatan scoping review. Sumber literatur di peroleh melalui pencarian dengan menggunakan database yang terdiri dari PUBMED, Google Scholar, Science Direct dan Proquest. Kata kunci yang digunakan“Adolescents” OR “Youth” AND “Tuberculosis” AND “Impact” OR “Effect” AND “Wellbeing” OR “Happiness” OR “Life Satisfaction” OR “Quality of Life”. Kriteria inklusi dalam pemilihan artikel yaitu 1) rentang publikasi artikel 10 tahun terakhir; 2) Bahasa inggris; 3) tema artikel terkait dengan dampak TBC terhadap kesejahteraan remaja, 4) tersedia full teks dan spesifik. Hasil: Berdasarkan artikel yang didapatkan, peneliti mengklasifikasikan kesejahteraan dalam empat aspek yaitu aspek fisik, psikologis, sosial, dan ekonomi.  Kesimpulan: Pengobatan TBC berdampak pada seluruh aspek perkembangan remaja. Dibutuhkan pelayanan TBC yang ramah untuk remaja sehingga dapat mempertahankan kesejahteraan remaja selama menjalani pengobatan.

Abstract

Body  shaming  merupakan perbuatan mengkritik pada bentuk, ukuran,  dan  penampilan  orang  lain. Survei yang dilakukan di Amerika menunjukkan bahwa banyak remaja perempuan pernah mengalami body shaming. Korban yang selalu mendapatkan body shaming terkait paras wajah dan bentuk tubuhnya, akan mengalami depresi kemudian memilih untuk mengakhiri hidupnya sendiri. Tujuan dari ulasan ini adalah untuk memetakan bukti yang tersedia terkait faktor penyebab body shaming pada remaja perempuan. Cakupan review ini mengikuti framework dari Arksey dan O'Malley, yang terdiri dari; perumusan masalah penelitian, identifikasi literatur yang relevan, pemilihan literatur, memetakan atau mendeskripsikan data, menyusun, meringkas, dan melaporkan hasil yang bertujuan untuk meringkas penelitian secara garis besar. Hasil review menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tujuh artikel yang diperoleh dari proses pencarian. Ulasan ini mengangkat empat tema yaitu; norma masyarakat, tujuan baik, empati yang rendah dan kurangnya pengetahuan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kejadian body shaming merupakan tindakan mengomentari tubuh seseorang yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yaitu; norma masyarakat, tujuan baik, empati yang rendah dan kurangnya pengetahuan.

Abstract

Introduction: The prevalence of visually impaired in Indonesia has increased significantly every year. The visually impaired condition is often used by unscrupulous persons to become victims of criminal acts because of their powerlessness. Blind people need resilience to survive in the conditions experienced. There have been many studies on resilience in the blind in general, but none has specifically reviewed the visually impaired adult male. This study aims to reviewed resilience factors of visually impaired adult male.Methods: The researcher used the scoping review method to get a clear picture of resilience factors of the blind adult male. Literature search was carried out using search keywords visually impaired, resilience factors, adult male blind. The database used is Scopus, PUBMED and Google Scholar. Articles inclusion criteria are articles reviewed of publication in the last 10 years (2010-2020), full and specific text are available with research question about the resilience of male blind adult.Result: Based on the identification, there were 166 articles from search engines Scopus, PUBMED and Google Scholar. There were six articles that match the criteria after going through the selection process. Resilience has many factors such as the environment, family and individual. The researcher used the PEO question format (population, exposure, outcome) to find related research articles.Conclusion: Blind people have more serious challenges in building resilience, so further studies need to be done to make interventions to help build resilience for male blind adults.

Abstract

Kesehatan jiwa adalah keadaan sejahtera baik fisik, mental, sosial, dan spiritual serta bebas dari stres atau tekanan. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh program desa peningkatan kesehatan jiwa terhadap keterampilan kader kesehatan mental alami yang bekerja pada program peringatan kesehatan jiwa di desa Rw 05 Rt 01 Kelurahan Tegalsari Semarang. Desain pengabdian masyarakat yang digunakan adalah menggunakan metode (community-based psychiatric service). Peserta dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini meliputi 25 calon kader, dan RT. Alat yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah materi-materi yang berhubungan dengan penyuluhan atau berbagai kegiatan yang meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat tentang pengobatan kognitif, afektif dan psikomotorik pada gangguan jiwa. Respon dari peserta baik, banyak pertanyaan mengenai perawatan orang dengan masalah kesehatan jiwa di masyarakat dan melibatkan dalam penyediaan fasilitas perawatan orang dengan masalah kesehatan jiwa. Penderita gangguan jiwa di fasilitas kesehatan masyarakat. 80% petugas kader melengkapi registrasi kader dan mendeteksi keluarga sehat jiwa, keluarga berisiko, dan keluarga menderita gangguan jiwa.

Abstract

This research aims to know the knowledge and attitude of pregnant mothers about hepatitis in the Siompu District, South Buton District. The research uses descriptive qualitative design using thematic analysis, A semi-structured one-on-one interview through a face-to-face interview at Siompu. The interviews are recorded and transcribed word by word and then analyzed thematically. A total of 5 pregnant women participated in this study with a response rate of 93.7%, and each interview lasted 20 to 40 minutes. Five thematic categories were identified, while the participant’s psychological experiences were classified into five stages, namely (1) perception: the presence of anxiety; (2) attitudes: fears, and doubts about viruses; (3) transitional periods: complex and diverse psychological feelings; (4) adaptation period: self-adaptation and assistance from external support; and (5) reflection period: reflection on life and nature. The results study showed that the perception in pregnant women of hepatitis infection is still less, while pregnant mothers showed a very positive attitude towards therapy and immunization. So, it is highly recommended to raise awareness about the hepatitis virus, the ways of transmission, and possible treatment options.

Abstract

This study aims to review previous studies related to adherence to taking antihypertensive medication in elderly hypertensive patients to determine the factors that influence the adherence of elderly people suffering from hypertension who consume antihypertensive medicines. The method used is the scoping review analysis method. Article searches using databases from Scopus, Wiley, and Semantic Scholar with a research period from 2019 to 2024, with the keywords "factor" AND "adherence" AND "medication" AND "hypertension" AND "older" OR "adult". The articles are in full-text form, accessible, in English, limited to the last 6 years, and no country restrictions, and discuss adherence to taking antihypertensive medication in the elderly. The results showed that 6 articles met the inclusion criteria after going through the selection process. All articles used quantitative methods and came from the United States (2 articles), China (1 article), Thailand (1 article), Brazil (1 article), and Korea (1 article). The average age of participants was between 65-80 years and above. Factors that influence compliance with taking antihypertensive medication in the elderly. In conclusion, factors that influence compliance with taking antihypertensive medication in the elderly with hypertension consist of the elderly's factors (intrinsic factors) and other factors (extrinsic factors). Abstract

Background: Family is one of the factors that influence adolescent mental health. Adolescents often have problems with closeness to parents, communication, openness, and support, and those with poor mental health can be at risk for self-harm. One of the coping methods that can be used to increase the interaction between parents and adolescents is spiritual coping.Purpose: This study aimed to determine differences in the level of mother-adolescent interaction and its effect on adolescent mental health after the application of spiritual coping interventions.Methods: A quantitative study using a pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design with a control group was conducted among 52 public health volunteers and their adolescent children. This study described data of two groups before and after spiritual coping interventions through the Mother and Child Heart Connection (MCHC) Caring System. The Parent-Child Interaction Questionnaire-Revised (PACHIQ-R) and Mental Health Inventory (MHI) questionnaires were used for data collection.Results: The results of the independent t-test showed a sig. value of 0.036 (p0.05), indicating a significant difference in the level of interaction and mental health between the intervention group and the control group before and after the intervention.Conclusion: The application of spiritual coping interventions through the MCHC application positively affected the interaction between mothers and adolescent children. Spiritual coping increased the acceptance and awareness of mothers that could improve their interaction and mental health condition of adolescents.
