Abstract

Capung merupakan serangga yang berperan penting dalam keseimbangan ekologi. Saat ini keberadaan capung semakin langka dan ada predisksi suatu saat capung akan punah jika pencemaran air semakin meningkat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi sains siswa pada konteks melestarikan capung. Penelitian melibatkan 89 orang siswa SD kelas 4 pada 2 Sekolah Dasar di Kota Sukabumi. Data diambil dengan menggunakan soal literasi sains pilihan ganda serta lembar wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains siswa secara umum pada kategori cukup, sementara dari wawancara siswa diperoleh hasil bahwa siswa sudah cukup mampu menjelaskan mengapa capung saat ini sulit di temukan di lingkungan, begitupun dalam upaya menjaga kelestarian capung. Melalui penelitian ini diperoleh gambaran literasi sains siswa Sekolah Dasar yang dapat menjadi penelitian pendahuluan untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran untuk melestarikan serangga/hewan yang terancam punah yang disebabkan oleh ketidakseimbangan ekosistem saat ini

Abstract

Research skills are one of the skills that exist in educational goals, research skills must be possessed to be able to face the 21st century. Research skills of students in Indonesia are still in the low category, this is evidenced by research that has been conducted by previous researchers with an average score -average 68.5 out of 100 points. This study aims to determine the research skill profile of students in one of the MAN schools in Sukabumi City. This study used a descriptive method, the subjects in this study were class XI students, totaling 22 students, determined by a sampling technique, namely purposive sampling. The instruments used were an attitude scale for research skills, and a Research Skill Development (RSD) assessment rubric. The results showed that students' research skill profiles were in the good category with an average score on the attitude scale of 83 ± 6.2% and on the practicum report 71 ± 8.5%. Therefore, it can be seen that the research skills profile of students using the guided inquiry learning model integrated with the Research Skill Development (RSD) Framework in this study is in the good category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi struktur jaringan tumbuhan dan hewan pada siswa kelas XI SMA dengan menggunakan media Biology Quartet Card (BQC). Metode Penelitian adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan dua siklus. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 32 orang siswa di kelas XI IPA SMAN 4 Kota Sukabumi. Instrumen penelitian mengggunakan kuesioner motivasi serta soal penguasaan konsep dengan bentuk soal pilihan ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata motivasi siswa sebesar 73,5 dalam mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan BQC. Adapun untuk perolehan nilai penguasaan konsep siswa secara keseluruhan nilai rata-rata pada siklus 1 sebesar 48,08 dan siklus dua meningkat menjadi 70,41.

Abstract

Increasing Motivation and Ability to Mastery Students' Concepts on Material Structure of Plant and Animal Networks Through Media Biology Quartet Card (BQC). This study aims to improve the motivation and mastery of students' concepts in the material structure of plant and animal tissue in class XI SMA using the media Biology Quartet Card (BQC). The research method is Classroom Action Research with two cycles. The research subjects were 32 students in class XI IPA of SMAN 4 Kota Sukabumi. The research instrument uses motivation questionnaires as well as questions about mastery of concepts with multiple choice questions. The results showed that the average student motivation was 73.5% in participating in learning using BQC. As for the acquisition of the concept mastery value, the average in the first cycle was 48.08 and the second cycle increased to 70.41.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Inquiry Based learning terhadap kemampuan problem solving pada siswa MAN 1 Sukabumi pada materi Keanekaragaman Hayati. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain Non equivalent control group design yang. Populasi yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 5 kelas dengan sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 2 kelas dengan jumlah siswa 36 orang siswa untuk masing-masing kelas.Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes soal kemampuan Problem solving dan angket. Kemampuan problem solving yang diukur mencakup 8 indikator yang dalam hal ini digunakan 6 indikator, diantaranya: 1). Mengidentifikasi masalah 2). Mengumpulkan data 3).Mengnalisis data 4). Memecahkan masalah berdasarkan data 5). Memilih cara untuk menyelesaikan masalah 6). Merencanakan penerapan memecahkan masalah.Hasil yang didapat untuk kemampuan problem solving ini pada kelas eksperimen adalah dengan rata-rata N-gain 0, 51.Sedangkan pada kelas kontrol adalah 0, 41. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan sinifikan dengan Fhitung = 1,13 dan Ftabel = 4, 12 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol.

Abstract

Abstract : Results of Integrated Science learning students class VII 2 MTs. Nurul Huda Palabuhanratu is still below the KKM score (70). There needs to be an effort to improve student learning outcomes, one of which is the peer tutor method. This classroom0action0research0aims0to0determine the0increase0in motivation and cognitive learning outcomes of class VII 2 MTs students. Nurul Huda Palabuhanratu by applying the peer tutor strategy. The subjects0in0this0study werw students of class VII 2 MTs.Nurul Huda Palabuhanratu as many as 20 students. The data collected in the form of student learning outcomes, questionnaire results, and teacher observations. The research was conducted in one cycle with two meetings with the stages0of 0planning, 0implementing, 0observing0and0reflecting. 0The research was said to be successful with a value of ≥70 and a percentage of 85%. Whereas in the final test of cycle I, classical learning completeness has reached the percentage of achievement of 85%. Based on the result of the study, it was obtained that the average value of learning completeness was 79 with a score of students' motivation and response responses of 65.79% and 65%. From0these0iy0can0be concluded that action in the learning process with peer tutors can increase students learning motivation an increase student cognitive learning outcomes. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan workshop terkait literasi numerasi terintegrasi nilai dengan peserta Guru-guru Biologi dan IPA di Kota dan Kabupaten Sukabumi sebanyak 97 orang. Adapun metode yang dilaksanakan adalah ceramah bervariasi, demonstrasi, simulasi dan diskusi. Pada akhir kegiatan dilakukan evaluasi kegiatan menggunakan formulir yang mengukur mengenai kesesuaian kegiatan pengabdian dengan kebutuhan mitra, kesesuaian materi dengan tujuan pelatihan, manfaat yang didapatkan oleh peserta, dan beberapa poin lain yang menyatakan respon peserta setelah mengikuti kegiatan pengabdian. Selain itu dilakukan juga respon tindak lanjut dari peserta setelah satu bulan kegiatan dilaksanakan. Adapun respon yang diperoleh dari peserta adalah sebanyak 84,6% peserta menyatakan maksud dan tujuan materi tersampaikan dengan jelas, 84, 6 % peserta menyatakan pemaparan materi diterima dengan baik, 80, 8 % peserta menyatakan materi yang disampaikan menarik, 80,8 % peserta menyampaikan teknik pelatihan tersampaikan dengan jelas dan sistematis, 100 % peserta menyampaikan pelatihan bermanfaat, 84,6 % peserta menyampaikan pelatihan menarik dan mudah dipahami. Pelatihan ini memberikan manfaat bagi guru untuk mengajarkan literasi numerasi kepada siswa pada pembelajaran teori dan praktikum serta evaluasinya.

Abstract

This research has the objective to develop an alternative rubric for evaluating creative thinking performance in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education. The research employs a Design-Based Research (DBR) methodology, which involves four stages: 1) Designing a prototype for performance assessment (design), 2) Conducting trials to test the developed assessment (test), 3) Performing evaluations, and 4) Reflecting on and addressing any deficiencies in the developed tasks and rubrics. The research involved respondents completing performance assessment tasks using the newly developed criteria/ rubric. The participants included 57 students from the Biology Education research Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sukabumi, enrolled in the 3rd and 5th semesters. This research resulted in a valid and practical assessment of creative thinking performance in STEM learning, with the Performance Assessment Rubric achieving an average percentage of 83.5% (proper). The research produced a creative thinking performance assessment instrument that can be used as an evaluation tool in STEM education. Further implications suggest incorporating these assessments into STEM curricula and training educators to use them effectively.

Abstract

Creativity is an essential 21st-century skill that students must develop to solve real-life scientific and environmental problems. This study aims to determine the effect of the STEM-Socio Scientific Issues learning model on students' creativity in the concept of organic waste management. Students' creativity is measured based on four indicators according to Torrance, namely fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The research subjects consist of two classes at Muhammadiyah High School in Sukabumi City. Data were collected through creativity tests in the form of pretest and posttest essay questions that had been validated and reliability-tested. The results showed that the STEM-SSI learning model significantly improved students' creativity, particularly in the aspects of fluency (N-Gain 0.4031), flexibility (0.3029), and originality (0.3017), with a moderate category. However, on the elaboration indicator, the control class achieved a slightly higher N-Gain score (0.3574) compared to the experimental class (0.3396), indicating that this aspect has not developed optimally in STEM-SSI learning. Nevertheless, since three out of four creativity indicators showed significant improvement in the experimental class, it can be concluded that STEM-SSI learning can enhance students' creativity, particularly in terms of fluency, flexibility, and originality.
