Abstract

Higher order thinking skills are thinking that trains students' cognitive abilities at a higher level, namely students are able to combine facts and ideas. This study aims to analyze higher order thinking skills using a conceptual change model. The research subjects were 32 students of class VIII SMP in the city of Sukabumi. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The instrument used is about higher order thinking skills as many as 30 multiple choice options. The indicators are C4 (Analyze) C5 (Evaluate) C6 (Create). The results obtained that the average pretest score was 54.6 and the posttest average was 87.1, the ngain value was 0.7, which is an increase in height. So that this Model pembelajaran conceptual changeis feasible to use to improve higher-order thinking skills. Key words: Higher order thinking, Conceptual Change Model   ABSTRAK Kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi adalah berpikir yang melatih kemampuan kognitif siswa pada tingkat yang lebih tinggi, yaitu siswa mampu menggabungkan fakta dan ide. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dengan menggunakan model konseptual change. Subjek penelitian adalah 32 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri di Kota Sukabumi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi sebanyak 30 pilihan pilihan ganda. Indikatornya adalah C4 (Analyze) C5 (Evaluate) C6 (Create). Hasil yang diperoleh rata-rata nilai pretest 54,6 dan rata-rata posttest 87,1 nilai ngain 0,7 yang merupakan peningkatan tinggi badan. Sehingga model perubahan konseptual ini layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Kata kunci: Berpikir Tingkat Tinggi, Conceptual Change Model

Abstract

This study aims to see how the habits of mind of students with the application of the inquiry lesson learning model. Inquiry lesson is one of the stages of Levels of Inquiry (LoI) Wenning (2010). Using the Pre-experimental method. with One Group Posttest only design. Habits of mind according to Costa and Kallick (2012) which consists of 16 indicators. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 01 Cigombong Bogor class X MIPA 5 academic year 2021/2022 in the subject of Ecosystem Biology. The research instrument used was the Habits of mind questionnaire which consisted of 43 statements given after the learning process with the inquiry lesson. The results showed that the application of the inquiry lesson model had a good influence on the habits of mind of students. It is proven in the acquisition of an n-gain score of 0.05, which means that there is a low increase, and the average percentage value per indicator is 76%. The ability to solve problems is important for student to meet the needs of the 21st century generation. This study aims to determine the effect of using the Auditory Intellecttually Repetition (AIR) learning model on students’ problom solving abilities based on gender. This research is a quasi-experimental reaserch with the reaserch design used is One Group Posttest Only. The sample of this research is high school students of class XI SMAN in Sukabumi City as many as 30 students. The result showed that there was an effect of the Auditory Intellectually Reperirion (AIR) learning model on students’ problem solving abilities. Goruping based on gender resulted in the percentage value of male students by 60% and the percentage value of female students by 54%, this means that the problem-solving ability of male student is higher than the probloem-solving ability of female students. The onclusion than can be drawn is that the Auditory Intellectually Repetition learning model can be used by teachers in training students’ problem solving skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa berdasarkan gender. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi eksperimen engan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah One Group Posttest Only. Sampel penelitian ini adalah Siswa SMA kelas XI SMAN di Kota Sukabumi sebanyak 30 orang siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Auditory intellectually Repetition (AIR) terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa. Pengelompokan berdasarkan gender menghasilkan data nilai persentase siswa laki-laki sebesar 60% dan nilai persentase siswa perempuan 54%, hal ini berarti kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa laki-laki lebih tinggi dari kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa perempuan. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition ini dapat digunakan guru dalam melatihkan kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa. Abstract

This research aims to see the influence of game-based learning on the 21CLD dimension on high school students' collaboration competence on the concept of movement systems. The study employed a quasi-experimental method, utilizing a Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample for this research was 70 students from SMAN 1 Cikembar class XI. The instruments used were collaboration competency questionnaires, student collaboration activity observation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The research results showed that the N-Gain value of collaboration competence in the experimental class was better than the control class with a value of 0.62 in the medium category and 0.29 in the low category. Judging from the hypothesis test, it is significantly different with a sig (2-tailed) value of <0.001 so that the hypothesis H0 is not accepted while H1 is accepted. The conclusion of this research states that the game-based learning model based on the 21CLD collaboration dimension has an effect on students' collaboration competence. Abstract

Abstract : Results of Integrated Science learning students class VII 2 MTs. Nurul Huda Palabuhanratu is still below the KKM score (70). There needs to be an effort to improve student learning outcomes, one of which is the peer tutor method. This classroom0action0research0aims0to0determine the0increase0in motivation and cognitive learning outcomes of class VII 2 MTs students. Nurul Huda Palabuhanratu by applying the peer tutor strategy. The subjects0in0this0study werw students of class VII 2 MTs.Nurul Huda Palabuhanratu as many as 20 students. The data collected in the form of student learning outcomes, questionnaire results, and teacher observations. The research was conducted in one cycle with two meetings with the stages0of 0planning, 0implementing, 0observing0and0reflecting. 0The research was said to be successful with a value of ≥70 and a percentage of 85%. Whereas in the final test of cycle I, classical learning completeness has reached the percentage of achievement of 85%. Based on the result of the study, it was obtained that the average value of learning completeness was 79 with a score of students' motivation and response responses of 65.79% and 65%. From0these0iy0can0be concluded that action in the learning process with peer tutors can increase students learning motivation an increase student cognitive learning outcomes. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan validasi media pembelajaran untuk program kuliah STEM yang berupa video pada topik cyber pedagogy. Pengembangan media video pembelajaran ini terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu Planning, Design, Development. Produk pada penelitian ini adalah video pada materi cyber pedagogy untuk program kuliah STEM. Validasi video ini melibatkan lima orang validator untuk mengukur kelayakan dari segi materi, media, dan bahasa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi berbentuk skala Likert terhadap video pembelajaran. Adapun penelitian ini menghasilkan video pembelajaran pada materi cyber pedagogy dengan hasil validasi materi 92,5%, validasi media 94,2%, dan validasi bahasa 90% dengan kriteria ketiganya sangat valid. Berdasarkan penilaian dari segi materi, media, dan bahasa, video yang dikembangkan layak digunakan.

Abstract

During the Covid 19 pandemic, there were many changes in learning patterns and habits, both those carried out by lecturers and students. Most lectures were conducted online during the Covid 19 pandemic to avoid the spread of the Covid virus. After the pandemic, courses changed again, namely some offline, some online, and some blended learning. After the Covid-19 pandemic, lecturers needed to know the non-cognitive state of students in adjusting to post-covid-19 recovery conditions. This study aims to analyze the perspective of non-cognitive factors in lectures after recovering from COVID-19. The method used in this research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The subjects in this study were 69 students from a private university in West Java. Instruments used include questionnaires and interview guidelines. The results showed that students' perceptions of non-cognitive factors after the Covid-19 pandemic had: student motivation in lectures and doing assessments increased after the Covid-19 pandemic; non-cognitive factors that were important for students included motivation, self-confidence, perseverance, tenacity, the concept of self, and anxiety.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low creativity of students in learning biology at school. The purpose of this study was to determine how the implications of ethnoscience-based STEM learning models on student creativity on excretory system material. This study used a quantitative approach, quasi-experimental method with non-equivalient control group design, in the selection of samples by purposive sampling. The instruments used were verbal and figural creativity tests, product creativity assessment and student response questionnaires to ethnoscience-based STEM learning models. The research subjects were junior high school students in grade VIII with 27 experimental class students and 27 control class students. The results showed that the ethnoscience-based STEM learning model implies student creativity, this is known from the results of hypothesis testing showing H₀ is rejected and Hₗ is accepted with the results of Sig (2-tailed) verbal creativity 0.000 and figural creativity 0.001 so that the data can be said to be significantly different. The implications of the learning model can also be seen from the N-Gain value of verbal creativity of the experimental class which is 0.65 and the control class is 0.48 while the N-Gain value of figural creativity of the experimental class is 0.63 and the control class is 0.45. The average student response questionnaire is 81.79% or in the very good category. The conclusion of this research is that there is an implication of ethnoscience-based STEM learning model on the creativity of students of one of the Sukabumi District State Junior High School.

Abstract

The 21st century is recognized as the age of knowledge, marked by technological advancements, where students are expected to possess strong critical thinking skills. However, in the realm of science education, students' attitudes towards critical thinking remain relatively low. This is primarily due to the passive reception of information, with students merely memorizing it for examinations or tests. Thus, there is a pressing need for solutions to address these challenges. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the Cloud-assisted PjBL model on students' critical thinking skills on the topic of Environmental Pollution. The method used was a quasi-experimental. The research instruments were a test for critical thinking skills, a questionnaire for environmental care attitudes, and for the Cloud-assisted PjBL learning response questionnaire. The outcomes indicated that the N-Gain data for the experimental class yielded a value of 0.75, indicating a high category, while the control class obtained a value of 0.49, indicating a medium category. The average result for environmental care attitudes among students in the experimental and control class is good. The conclusion in this research is that the Cloud-assisted PjBL model is effective on students' critical thinking skills and can improve students' environmental care attitudes.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan workshop terkait literasi numerasi terintegrasi nilai dengan peserta Guru-guru Biologi dan IPA di Kota dan Kabupaten Sukabumi sebanyak 97 orang. Adapun metode yang dilaksanakan adalah ceramah bervariasi, demonstrasi, simulasi dan diskusi. Pada akhir kegiatan dilakukan evaluasi kegiatan menggunakan formulir yang mengukur mengenai kesesuaian kegiatan pengabdian dengan kebutuhan mitra, kesesuaian materi dengan tujuan pelatihan, manfaat yang didapatkan oleh peserta, dan beberapa poin lain yang menyatakan respon peserta setelah mengikuti kegiatan pengabdian. Selain itu dilakukan juga respon tindak lanjut dari peserta setelah satu bulan kegiatan dilaksanakan. Adapun respon yang diperoleh dari peserta adalah sebanyak 84,6% peserta menyatakan maksud dan tujuan materi tersampaikan dengan jelas, 84, 6 % peserta menyatakan pemaparan materi diterima dengan baik, 80, 8 % peserta menyatakan materi yang disampaikan menarik, 80,8 % peserta menyampaikan teknik pelatihan tersampaikan dengan jelas dan sistematis, 100 % peserta menyampaikan pelatihan bermanfaat, 84,6 % peserta menyampaikan pelatihan menarik dan mudah dipahami. Pelatihan ini memberikan manfaat bagi guru untuk mengajarkan literasi numerasi kepada siswa pada pembelajaran teori dan praktikum serta evaluasinya.
