Abstract

The environment is a natural laboratory that presents unique phenomena that humans must study. Plants in the surrounding environment can be used as learning resources and media to bring students closer to their learning objects. Learning by utilizing objects in the surrounding environment can help the learning process. The diversity of tree in the Lambung Mangkurat University campus can be used as a source of learning and support learning based on the concept of diversity. One of the learning media that can be developed is a field guide book to guide users when learning independently in the environment. This study aims to describe the validity of the results of the development of a field guide "diversity of trees in the Lambung Mangkurat University campus". The feasibility of the field guide book was obtained from two experts and one high school biology teacher. The results of the validator's input and suggestions become material for correction and revision of learning products. The results of the field guide book validation show that the product is very valid and theoretically or procedurally feasible to be used for implementation at a later stage.

Abstract

The wetland environment can be used as a source of learning and teaching material, so that learning is carried out based on contextual learning. This study aims to describe the validity of ecology enrichment teaching materials on wetlands subject of wetlands in South Kalimantan based on the results of fish research around the Sirang Island, Riam Kanan Reservoir, Banjar Regency. This research method is research and development with 5 steps, identification of potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, and design revision. The results showed that teaching materials in the form of handouts that were developed as enrichment material for land ecology courses had very valid or were suitable for use. Readability test by 7 students who have passed the wetland ecology course gets very good criteria.

Abstract

One of the habitats in the wetlands is the Ecosystem of Mangrove which has a diversity of flora and fauna. This study aims to describe the diversity of vegetation in the mangrove forest area of Sungai Rasau Village, Tanah Laut Regency and obtain valid and practical handout teaching materials. The research method used is descriptive method and development research. The main subjects of this study were 2 experts and 5 students as test subjects. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the tree vegetation of Sonneratia alba, Hibiscus tiliaceus, Heritiera littoralis, Avicennia marina, Excoecaria agallocha, Rhizopora apiculata, Rhizopora mucronata, Nypa fruticans, Sonneratia caseolaris with a diversity index of 1,848 (medium). Shrubs and herbs, Derris trifociata Acanthus ilicifolius L, Pluchea indica L, Galinsoga parviflora, Cyperus kyllinga, and Fimbristylis dichotoma have moderate diversity index (H'=1.662). The handout developed "Diversity of Mangrove Vegetation in Sungai Rasau Village, Tanah Laut Regency" as Enrichment Material for Wetland Ecology Courses has very valid criteria with very good legibility tests.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa diduga karena kurangnya karakter yang dimiliki seorang siswa selama proses pembelajaran seperti tekun, tanggung jawab, kejujuran, santun, dan ketelitian serta kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran, sehingga dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Tujuan khusus penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: (1) kemampuan guru, (2) karakter siswa, (3) hasil belajar, (4) respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri atas 2 siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes, observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Temuan penelitian: (1) kemampuan guru pada siklus I dan II berkategori sangat baik yaitu 86,3% dan 94,9%,  (2) karakter siswa mengalami peningkatan pada semua aspek pada siklus I baik menjadi sangat baik pada siklus II, (3) ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa siklus I  sebesar 82% (tidak tuntas), dan  siklus II sebesar 92,3% (tuntas), (4) respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran adalah baik. Diperoleh simpulan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT berbasis karakter efektif dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII A SMPN 1 Kertak Hanyar pada pokok bahasan tekanan.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa, menyebabkan perlu dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII-A SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Banjarmasin melalui model pembelajaran ARIAS pada materi ajar konsep zat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari 3 siklus dimana setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 37 siswa kelas VII-A SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Banjarmasin. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes hasil belajar, dan angket. Sedangkan teknik analisis data secara deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya: (1) keterlaksanaan RPP dengan model pembelajaran ARIAS dimana pada siklus I sebesar 76,67% (baik), pada siklus II sebesar 90,83% (sangat baik), dan pada siklus III sebesar 95,00% (sangat baik). (2) peningkatan ketuntasan hasil belajar secara klasikal setiap siklus 66,67%; 81,82%; dan 87,88%. (3) aktivitas siswa pada sikus I secara umum berkategori kurang aktif, siklus II berkategori cukup aktif, dan siklus III berkategori aktif. (4) respon siswa meliputi attention, relevance, confidance, satisfactioan  berkategori baik.

Abstract

Cyperaceae merupakan tumbuhan familia teki-tekian, berhabitus herba, batangnya kebanyakan berbentuk segitiga dengan bunga majemuk. Cyperaceae banyak ditemukan di kawasan persawahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keanekaragaman .Cyperaceae di kawasan persawahan Desa Beringin Kencana Kecamatan Tabunganen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara jelajah dengan metode line transect. Hasil Penelitian Keanekaragaman Cyperaceae di kawasan persawahan Desa Beringin Kencana Kecamatan Tabunganen didapatkan 5 genus, yaitu Cyperus berjumlah 4, Fuirena berjumlah 2, Eleocharis berjumlah 1, Fimbristylis berjumlah 1, dan Scleria berjumlah 1 dengan jumlah 9 spesies, yaitu Cyperus polystachyos, C. odoratus, C. rotundus, C. sphacelatus, Fuirena simplex, F. umbellata, Eleocharisrdulcis, Fimbristylis miliacea, dan Scleria sumatrenisis

Abstract

Keberadaan potensi lokal perlu digali sebagai bahan ajar agar proses pembelajaran lebih kontekstual dan bermakna. Keterbatasan pengetahuan guru yang tergabung dalam MGMP guru biologi SMA dan SMP se-Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah memerlukan bimbingan teknis penyusunan bahan ajar biologi berbasis potensi lokal. Kegiatan ini bertujuan memberi bekal dan bimbingan kepada guru-guru biologi sekolah menengah dalam menyusun bahan ajar berbasis potensi lokal. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui metode ceramah, diskusi, workshop dan konsultasi daring serta penugasan mandiri. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang telah diselenggarakan, diketahui bahwa guru menunjukan antusiasme yang tinggi, sebagaimana terlihat dari proses tanya jawab dan diskusi yang berlangsung sangat dinamis. Banyak guru yang menyampaikan potensi lokal daerah, serta meminta saran dan masukan terkait bahan ajar apa yang dapat dikembangkan. Berdasarkan data yang masuk, terdapat 14 orang guru dari 20 peserta yang sudah mengajukan format pengembangan bahan ajarnya. Dari data 70% peserta yang telah mengajukan format pengembangan bahan ajar ini, menunjukkan peserta telah mendapatkan bekal pengetahuan dan memiliki motivasi tinggi untuk menyusun bahan ajar berbasis potensi lokal sebagai perangkat pembelajaran. Di wilayah Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah memiliki berbagai jenis flora dan fauna, baik yang terdapat di perairan (sungai dan rawa) maupun di daratan. Potensi lokal ini dapat dikembangkan untuk  penyusunan bahan ajar Biologi. The existence of local potential needs to be explored as teaching materials so that the learning process is more contextual and meaningful. The limited knowledge of teachers who are members of the MGMP for biology teachers in SMA and SMP in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency requires technical guidance in preparing biology teaching materials based on local potential. This activity aims to provide provision and guidance to high school biology teachers in preparing teaching materials based on local potential. This activity is carried out through lectures, discussions, workshops, online consultations, and independent assignments. Based on the activities that have been held, it is known that the teacher shows high enthusiasm, as can be seen from the very dynamic question and answer process and discussion. Many teachers convey the local potential of the area and ask for suggestions and input regarding what teaching materials can be developed. Based on the incoming data, 14 teachers from 20 participants have submitted the format for developing their teaching materials. The data of 70% of participants who have proposed this format for developing teaching materials shows that participants have gained knowledge and have high motivation to develop teaching materials based on local potential as learning tools. The Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency has flora and fauna, both found in waters (rivers and swamps) and on land. This local potential can be developed for the preparation of Biology teaching materials.

Abstract

Kegiatan bimbingan teknis ini bertujuan memberi bekal dan bimbingan kepada guru-guru biologi sekolah menengah dalam menyusun bahan ajar berbasis potensi lokal.  Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi, workshop, konsultasi daring, dan penugasan mandiri.  Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi, sebagaimana terlihat dari proses tanya jawab dan diskusi yang berlangsung sangat dinamis. Banyak peserta yang menyampaikan potensi lokal daerah, serta meminta saran dan masukan terkait bahan ajar apa yang dapat dikembangkan. Berdasarkan data yang masuk, terdapat 33 orang guru (82,25%) dari 40 peserta yang sudah mengirimkan format yang berbentuk draft pengembangan bahan ajar. Hal ini menunjukkan peserta telah mendapatkan bekal pengetahuan dan memiliki motivasi sangat tinggi untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis potensi lokal. Untuk kegiatan serupa ke depannya agar dapat menjadi lebih baik lagi sebaiknya dilaksanakan bimbingan berkelanjutan. This technical guidance activity aims to provide provision and guidance to high school biology teachers in preparing teaching materials based on local potential. This shows that the participants have acquired knowledge and have very high motivation to develop teaching materials based on local potential. For similar activities in the future to be even better, continuous guidance should be carried out.

Abstract

Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara yang sebagian besar berupa lahan basah, mempunyai potensi berbagai jenis flora dan fauna, yang dapat dijumpai di perairan seperti rawa dan sungai, maupun di daratan. Salah satu potensi lokal yang menjadi ciri khas adalah kerbau rawa. Proses pembelajaran akan lebih kontekstual dan bermakna jika keberadaan potensi lokal digali sebagai bahan ajar. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberi bekal dan bimbingan teknis kepada guru-guru IPA SMP/MTs dan guru-guru Biologi SMA/MA terkait penyusunan bahan ajar berbasis potensi lokal. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi, workshop, bimbingan dan konsultasi secara daring, dan penugasan individual (mandiri). Peserta kegiatan yaitu guru- guru yang tergabung dalam MGMP IPA SMP/MTs dan MGMP Biologi SMA/MA Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara dengan total jumlah 40 orang. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menghitung persentase jumlah peserta yang mengumpulkan tugas mandiri sesuai format yang sudah ditentukan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme peserta terbilang tinggi, sebagaimana terlihat dari proses diskusi dan tanya jawab yang berlangsung sangat dinamis dan optimal baik sewaktu daring tatap maya maupun bimbingan di WhatsApp grup. Banyak peserta yang turut menyampaikan potensi lokal daerah, meminta saran dan masukan terkait pengembangan bahan ajar, serta ide potensi lokal yang ingin dikembangkan menjadi bahan ajar. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, 21 orang guru (52,50 %) dari 40 peserta sudah mengajukan format pengembangan bahan ajar, yang berarti mereka telah memperoleh bekal pengetahuan dan mempunyai motivasi tinggi untuk menyusun bahan ajar berbasis potensi lokal. Format pengembangan bahan ajar dapat dikembangkan oleh guru dalam penyusunan bahan ajar IPA pada jenjang SMP dan Biologi pada jenjang SMA yang bisa digunakan sebagai bahan ajar pada proses pembelajaran. A more contextual and meaningful learning process will be held if the local potential is explored as teaching material. This activity focuses on providing provision and technical guidance to science teachers at SMP/MTs and Biology teachers at SMA/MA regarding preparing teaching materials based on local potential. Implementation of activities using lecture methods, discussions, workshops, online guidance and consultation, and individual assignments (independent). The activity participants are teachers who are members of the SMP/MTs Science MGMP and SMA/MA Biology MGMP, with 40 people. The activity results show that the participants' enthusiasm is fairly high, as can be seen from the discussion and question and answer process that takes place very dynamically and optimally, both online virtual face-to-face or guidance on WhatsApp groups. Many participants participated in conveying the local potential of the region, asking for advice and input related to the development of teaching materials, as well as ideas on local potentials that they want to be developed into teaching materials. Based on the data obtained, 21 teachers (52.50%) out of 40 participants have proposed the format for developing teaching materials, which means they have acquired knowledge and have high motivation to develop teaching materials based on local potential. Hulu Sungai Utara Regency, which is mostly in the form of wetlands, has the potential for various types of flora and fauna, which can be found in waters such as swamps and rivers and on land. One of the local potentials that characterize is the swamp buffalo. This local potential can be developed in preparing science teaching materials at the junior high school level and biology at the high school level.

Abstract

Educators are the major players in the teaching process to enhance the accomplishment of student learning results. Biology subject, mainly the concept of Human Reproductive System, necessitates media relevant to learning objectives, student conditions, and technology development. Hopefully, learning media can assist the learning process by being packaged attractively to reach learning standards. In this case, the selected form of learning media is E-Booklet. This study aims to describe the feasibility of E-Booklet Learning Media in Concept Human Reproductive Systems. The research technique involves the step-by-step study and development utilizing a 4D model: 1) define, 2) design, 3) develop, and 4) disseminate. The feasibility of the E-Booklet has indicated the results of testing by 3 (three) experts using a feasibility instrument. The Human Reproductive System E-Booklet test shows that the results are very feasible (4.49) utilized as a biology learning medium. The dissemination of E-booklets is done online through posters that contain links and barcodes of E-booklets that can be accessed via the internet.
