Abstract

This research aims to identify the patterns of students' interests and talents at Esa Prakarsa Junior High School and apply the Rough Set method in data analysis to determine the most appropriate theme of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5). The study involved data collection from 178 students through a questionnaire designed to explore their interests and talents. The results of the analysis showed a significant correlation between the patterns of interest and talents of students with the selection of the P5 theme. The Rough Set method successfully identified relevant rules, such as students who have an interest in the field of art are more suitable for the theme of sustainable lifestyle, while talented students in the field of sports are more in line with the theme of Build the Soul and Body. The use of Rosetta software in data analysis provides recommendations for interesting and relevant P5 themes, supporting the achievement of national education goals in forming a young generation with character and competence. This research is expected to provide guidance for schools in developing P5 themes that are more relevant and interesting for students, as well as improving learning outcomes based on their interest and talent characteristics.

Abstract

In the world of education, students are the main object of every educational implementation that always prioritizes disciplines that are beneficial to the students themselves. However, in lecture activities there are students who are diligent in participating in lecture activities and there are also those who rarely participate in lecture activities, this can be caused by internal and external factors, so that there can be significant variations in student learning achievements, with some achieving high grades, while others face difficulties in achieving the same achievements. Based on the description of the problem, the researcher conducted a study that aimed to group students based on factors that affect student learning achievement using the k-means clustering algorithm. The results of the research conducted produced 3 clusters with cluster 1 there were 5 data, the group of students with a very satisfactory predicate GPA (3.50-4.00), supported by both internal and external factors (interval 3.1-4). Cluster 2 has 3 data, the group of students with a satisfactory predicate GPA (3.00-3.49), supported by both internal and external factors (interval 2.1-3), and cluster 3 has 5 data, the group of students with a satisfactory predicate GPA (3.00-3.49), supported by both internal and external factors (interval 3.1-4).

Abstract

In today's digital age, improving customer service is one of the keys to business success. Successfully retaining and attracting new customers is a challenge that must be faced. The application of chatbot technology powered by artificial intelligence (AI) on business websites has been proven to provide more efficient and responsive customer service. This research aims to develop and implement an AI chatbot that uses the TF-IDF (Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency) method to automatically understand and answer customer queries. The TF-IDF method is used to extract key features from the text of customer questions and match them with the most relevant answers in the database. The results of implementing this AI chatbot showed a significant improvement in the speed and quality of customer service responses, thus helping to improve customer satisfaction and company performance. This research provides valuable insights for businesses looking to integrate AI technology into their customer service strategy.

Abstract

Human resource competence (HR) is a key factor in supporting organizational performance. Referring to several problems in the Binjai City BKD, such as there is a difference between the competencies possessed by employees and the competencies needed to carry out their duties and responsibilities effectively, the placement of employees that are not in accordance with the competencies, the absence of a system to map and monitor employee competencies can cause difficulties in identifying development needs, as well as in the placement of appropriate employees. Employee competency mapping is relevant in the implementation of human resource management, both in planning, development and employee placement activities. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out competency mapping that can be used for various human resource management needs and this is in accordance with the priority program that will be carried out in the 2025 RKPD, namely improving the quality of innovative human resources. This study uses a priori algorithm with the Rapidminer application to be able to provide correlation results of human resource competencies. From the results of the research, a correlation was formed between human resource competence and education and work period, namely 8 association rules and the highest best rule was obtained with support of 32% and confidence value of 99.4%.

Abstract

This research aims to design and build a temperature and humidity control device in an Internet of Things (IoT)-based rice storage bin using the Blynk platform, ESP8266 module, DHT22 sensor, buzzer, 2-channel relay, fan, and lamp. The quality of rice is greatly affected by the conditions of the storage environment, especially temperature and humidity. Therefore, a system is needed that is able to monitor and control these two parameters in real-time to maintain the quality of rice during storage. The system is designed to use a DHT22 sensor to detect temperature and humidity, and then the data is sent to a ESP8266 microcontroller. A 2-channel relay sets the fan and lights to adjust the temperature and humidity, while the buzzer serves as a warning alarm. In addition, the system is equipped with an automatic notification feature through the Blynk application that informs users if the temperature or humidity exceeds a predetermined limit.

Abstract

Amid the rapid advancements of the digital era, Internet of Things (IoT) technology has emerged as one of the most significant innovations, enabling electronic devices to connect and interact intelligently. This study aims to design and develop an IoT-based guest reception robot intended for front office services at the campus. The robot is designed as a prototype capable of welcoming guests, saying "welcome," and providing four key pieces of information about the campus. Utilizing components such as ESP32 and ultrasonic sensors, the robot is expected to enhance service efficiency while also offering a more interactive experience for campus visitors. The implementation of IoT in this robot is not only intended to improve visitor services but also to promote technological innovation within the campus environment. This study also explores the integration of hardware and software, as well as the features and functions needed to meet the requirements of front office services. Thus, this research is expected to serve as a foundational step toward creating a more modern and innovative campus.

Abstract

This study aims to classify data on the productivity of census in Langkat Regency based on the type of census by using the Random Forest algorithm. Ubinan is a method used to measure the productivity of food crops, and in this study, the data was processed with various variables such as planting area, type of fertilizer, type of pesticide, and production volume. The Random Forest algorithm was used to build a classification model that could predict the productivity of the tares with very high accuracy, reaching 99.58% in the training stage. The model categorizes the productivity of the samples into several levels, namely Very Low, Low, Medium, High, and Very High. The implementation of this system is also equipped with a MATLAB GUI interface, which makes it easier for users to train and test data efficiently. With this system, users can see the prediction results through intuitive visualization. This research is expected to help farmers and policy makers in improving agricultural productivity through data-based analysis.

Abstract

Puskesmas berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat. Analisis data kesehatan yang tepat dapat membantu dalam mengidentifikasi kelompok populasi yang membutuhkan perhatian khusus. Sumber daya manusia yang unggul dan berkualitas didasari dengan sumber daya manusia yang sehat dengan indikator tercukupinya asupan gizi sesuai dengan perkembangan usianya. Namun masalah kelaparan dan kekurangan gizi masih dihadapi oleh dunia hingga saat ini. Menurut laporan Unicef, jumlah penduduk yang menderita kekurangan gizi di dunia mencapai 767,9 juta orang pada tahun 2021. Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO) mengatakan, kekurangan gizi menjadi salah satu ancaman berbahaya bagi kesehatan penduduk dunia. Stunting juga berdampak di Indonesia, prevalensi balita yang mengalami stunting di Indonesia sebanyak 21,6% pada tahun 2022. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengklasifikasikan data kesehatan dari Puskesmas di Binjai menggunakan algoritma K-Means untuk memahami karakteristik setiap kluster.Dilakukan studi lapangan dengan mengolah data hasil penimbangan anak, data diolah dengan menggunakan metode cluster sehingga diperoleh cluster stunting untuk wilayah Kota Binjai yakni kluster 1: mencerminkan kondisi kesehatan yang baik, dengan nilai rata-rata yang rendah pada indikator risiko gizi dan gizi buruk, kluster 2: menunjukkan kondisi yang sangat buruk, dengan nilai yang tinggi pada hampir semua indikator, mencerminkan masalah kesehatan yang serius di populasi tersebut dan kluster 3: menunjukkan kondisi moderat, dengan nilai yang berada di antara kluster 1 dan kluster 2. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga kluster yang berbeda, masing-masing dengan karakteristik kesehatan yang unik. Pengujian kluster dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode cluster analysis untuk memastikan validitas hasil. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan rekomendasi bagi pihak dians kesehatan dalam merancang program intervensi kesehatan yang lebih tepat sasaran dengan hasil pengujian Silhouette Score: 0.65, menunjukkan bahwa kluster yang terbentuk cukup baik. Davies-Bouldin Index: 0.3, menunjukkan pemisahan kluster yang baik. Inertia: 1500 menandakan bahwa data terdistribusi dengan baik di sekitar centroid.

Abstract

As a developing city, Binjai has a variety of business potential that can be exploited by micro entrepreneurs. However, in identifying and exploiting these opportunities, they are often faced with various obstacles, such as lack of access to market information, intense competition, and changes in consumer needs. Therefore, determining effective business opportunities is the key to the growth and sustainability of micro businesses in Binjai City. Determining business opportunities for micro businesses in Binjai City includes an understanding of the complexities and challenges faced by the MSME sector in identifying and exploiting business opportunities. Determining business opportunities requires alternative types of business in the TOPSIS method to compare various business opportunities based on important factors so that you can choose the one with the most potential and profit. In this context, the use of the TOPSIS method is important to assist in making more informed and effective decisions for authorities such as the Department of Cooperatives and MSMEs. This method will provide a systematic framework for evaluating various existing business opportunities, enabling a more objective and accurate assessment to support the development of MSMEs in Binjai City.

Abstract

Stunting is a growth and development disorder in children caused by chronic malnutrition over a long period of time, especially in the first 1,000 days of life, namely from pregnancy to the first 2 years of life. There are more than 149 million (22%) toddlers worldwide who are stunted, of which 6.3 million are Indonesian toddlers. Based on data from the Ministry of Health, the stunting rate in Indonesia in 2023 was recorded at 21.5 percent, only down 0.1 percent from the previous year which amounted to 21.6 percent. Predicting the number of stunted toddlers is very important and necessary to know the stunting rate in Langkat Regency in 2024, and the prediction results can help health workers in handling and preventing the spread of stunting. The method applied to this prediction system is Multiple Linear Regression where this analysis determines whether each independent variable is positively or negatively related, the direction of the relationship between variables, and estimates the value of the dependent variable will increase or decrease. The prediction system is carried out using the RapidMiner application because this application is very appropriate to produce information output in the form of prediction results for the coming year. The prediction results obtained are an increase and decrease in 2024 in each sub-district and there are sub-districts that do not experience an increase and decrease. The sub-district with the highest number was Secanggang with approximately 177 people, and the sub-district with the lowest number of stunted children was West Berandan with approximately 55 people. Then Stabat sub-district became the sub-district that experienced the most increase in the number of stunting, which was around 15 people, and the sub-district that experienced the most decrease was Kuala sub-district with a total of approximately 23 people. From the overall results it can be calculated that the number of stunting in all districts in Langkat Regency amounted to approximately 2453 people in 2024. And testing the error rate of prediction results using RMSE in the RapidMiner application of 7.63%, where the level of accuracy in the prediction of child stunting in Langkat Regency is 92.46%.
