Abstract

Written in one paragraph The government establishes family planning policies through the implementation of family planning programs to create a balanced population growth and quality families, in accordance with Law Number 52 of 2009 concerning Population Development and Family Development. The low number of post-placental IUD acceptors is due to a lack of knowledge about post-placental IUDs. This research is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach used. The research location and data collection in this study was carried out at the Tampaksiring I Community Health Center, Jalan DR. IR. Soekaeno, Tampaksiring, Gianyar Regency. The research results showed that most of the respondents had multigravida parity status, 71.7%. Therewere 48 respondents (90.6%) who had a positive attitude about postpartum IUD contraception. All respondents had been exposed to information about postpartum IUDs, the majority of respondents had good knowledge about postpartum IUDs, namely 50 respondents (94.3%). most of the information came from electronic media as much as 69.8%. This shows that of the 53 respondents studied, there were 44 respondents (83%) who had secondary education, and only 9 respondents (17%) had tertiary education. Conclusion: Education is closely related to knowledge, the higher a person's level of education is expected to be easier to grasp the knowledge conveyed. Knowledge of third trimester pregnant women regarding postpartum intrauterine device contraceptive methods is more likely to be in the good category. The attitudes of third trimester pregnant women regarding intrauterine device contraceptive methods postpartum people have more positive attitude categories

Abstract

Pneumonia is a leading cause of death among infants and toddlers worldwide, accounting for 14% of total deaths in this age group. Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV) immunization is a routine program. By 2023, PCV immunization coverage in Selat Village reached 78.95%. This study examines the relationship between mothers' knowledge of PCV immunization and PCV immunization status in toddlers (1–2 years old) in Selat Village. Using a cross-sectional approach, the study was conducted from September to November 2024 with a total sampling technique involving 40 mothers with toddlers aged 1–2 years. Data were collected through questionnaires and verification of children's immunization status in the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) handbook. Data analysis included univariate analysis for frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using the fisher’s exact test with a significance level of p < 0.05. The results showed a p-value = 0.000, indicating a significant relationship between mothers' knowledge and PCV immunization status. Mothers with good knowledge of PCV immunization are more likely to complete their children’s PCV immunization. Health workers should enhance public awareness, and future research should explore other factors affecting PCV immunization status

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is one of the predisposing factors for periodontal disease. The prevalence of diabetes mellitus in the population aged ≥15 years in the city of Denpasar is 1.8%. The increase in cases of diabetes mellitus is also accompanied by an increase in cases of periodontal disease every year. in 2023 the distribution of diabetes mellitus cases according to location is mostly in Dangin Puri Kangin village, with a total of 41 cases (20%). The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the understanding and knowledge of Posyandu cadres on how to maintain dental and oral health in diabetes mellitus patients. The Community Service Method is carried out by providing training to Posyandu cadres regarding dental and oral health maintenance in diabetes mellitus patients using lecture, discussion, question and answer and demonstration methods, as well as evaluation using pre-test and post-test. This community service activity has a positive impact on the understanding and improvement of Posyandu cadres' knowledge regarding education for diabetes mellitus patients in maintaining dental and oral health. The conclusion is that the training participants understand the training material well, and the Posyandu cadres have good knowledge in maintaining dental and oral health in diabetes mellitus patients

Abstract

 The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Bali Province in 2022 has decreased to 64.92%. This coverage is still below the national exclusive breastfeeding coverage target of 80%. One of the contributing factors is the lack of milk production in postpartum mothers. Oxytocin massage is a non-pharmacological therapy that is applied with massage to the back area along the spine which aims to provide a relaxing sensation and can facilitate milk production. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of oxytocin massage therapy on postpartum mother post caesarea sectio with breastfeeding in early neonates. This type of research is an experiment using posttest only control group design. The number of samples was 26 samples in the treatment group and 26 samples in the conventional control group that met the inclusion criteria. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with interview data collection techniques. Data analysis in this study was univariate and bivariate analysis using the Independent t-test. The results of this study showed that P Value 0.000 0.05 this shows that there is an effect of oxytocin massage therapy on postpartum cesarean section with breastfeeding in early neonate. For breastfeeding mothers, the results of this study can be used as a reference in the application of oxytocin massage therapy to facilitate to increase milk production and increase maternal comfort through assistance from health workers, husband and families.

Abstract

Prospective brides and grooms who are about to get married are the seeds of a family, so before getting married, they need to prepare their health conditions to be able to have a healthy pregnancy. The purpose of this community service is to determine the increase in motivation to screen prospective brides and grooms through the empowerment of adolescent posyandu cadres. The service activity was carried out in Peguyangan Kaja Village, the Working Area of Puskesmas III, North Denpasar District Health Office. The method used was education with Flipbook media and mentoring. The target was 5 adolescent posyandu cadres and 50 adolescents with a minimum age of 19 years. Motivation was measured using a questionnaire before and after education. The results showed that the motivation of adolescent participants to screen prospective brides and grooms before education was mostly in the high category (44%), and motivation after being given education with flipbook media was mostly very high (72%). Adolescent Posyandu cadres and Puskesmas officers should continue activities to provide reproductive health education to prospective brides and motivate them to screen prospective brides.

Abstract

Premature birth is a birth event at a gestational age of <37 weeks which contributes to increasing the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). The cause of premature labor is not yet known with certainty, but it is suspected that there are several factors that influence it, one of which is non-obstetric disease. This study aims to determine the description of non-obstetric factors in premature labor at RSUP Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G Ngoerah. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The research was carried out in November- Desember 2024 with a sample size of 144 respondents using a total sampling technique. Data collection uses secondary data. The results of data analysis obtained from 144 cases of non-obstetric premature births showed 116 cases of non-communicable diseases and 28 cases of infectious diseases. The highest data on non-obstetric premature births were in the non-obstetric non-communicable disease factor of hypertension as many as 49 respondents (42.2%) and the non-obstetric infectious disease factor of STI as many as 16 respondents (57.1%). Pregnant women are expected to undergo routine antenatal check-ups in accordance with the advice of health workers so that non-obstetric risk factors can be identified early to prevent more serious complications for mother and baby.

Abstract

The stunting case in Ped Village is relatively high with a percentage of 6.89% so that mothers' knowledge needs to be improved. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of mothers' knowledge about balanced nutrition in toddlers aged 12-59 months in Ped Village, Nusa Penida District. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The implementation of the study in Ped Village during the integrated health post (Posyandu) activities on May 7-13, 2025, using the proportionate cluster random sampling technique. The research sample was 85 mothers of toddlers who participated in the Posyandu activities in Ped Village by distributing a 30-question questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate in the form of percentages. The results showed that mothers' knowledge about balanced nutrition in Ped Village was in the sufficient category (60%), while knowledge based on indicators: the definition of balanced nutrition was in the good category (45.9%), the benefits of balanced nutrition were in the good category (58.8%), the principles were in the good category (43.5%), the grouping of balanced nutrition was in the sufficient category (42.4%), and the nutritional adequacy rate was in the good category (47.1%). Mothers' knowledge in Ped Village was classified as quite good.

Abstract

Hearing Test is detect early hearing loss to find abnormalities in hearing. Vision Test is to conduct early detection of vision disorders that result in visual impairment. The purpose of the study was to determine the description of results of vision and hearing tests in preschool children at Dharma Wiweka Kindergarten in 2022-2024. The type of descriptive research is a cross-sectional design using total sampling technique. The study was conducted in March-May 2025 at Dharma Wiweka Kindergarten. The total of samples was 355. Secondary data collection used a data collection checklist. Data analysis is form frequency distribution and percentage. The results of the study showed that the characteristics the respondents were mostly 5 years old (82.3%), proportion of gender was dominated by boys (54.6%). Preschool children showed the results of the vision examination showed that most (92.1%) had normal vision, the results of the hearing examination for most (97.2%) were normal. There are tendency for increase in hearing disorders and vision disorders detected in preschool children Dharma Wiweka Kindergarten from 2022-2024. Routine vision and hearing checks conducted Dharma Wiweka Kindergarten, facilitated by the Denpasar City Health Service, have proven to useful for detecting sensory disorders in children at early stage.
