Abstract

This research was focus on the low of student’s learning outcome, specially on Basic Electricity and Electronics subject at SMKN 1 Sumatera Barat. The objective is to reveal the comparisons of applying inquiry learning model and problem based learning model to the subject. By using Quasi experimental with simple random sampling; one of probability sampling tecnique, the Inqury model was enducted in experiment class and The Other class where PBL learning model, was also implemented to compare the treatment. The primary data was collected by structured  test (Pre-test and Post-test) according to basic competences described of the subject. based on the t-test result, complying the pre-requisite test such as normalityexamination, this research found that t0≥t ≥ t0 (-2,052 ≥ 2,55  ≥  2,052). However, the result has shown that inquiry learning model is providing better student’s learning outcome than PBL model. Therefore, the inquiry model is more effective than PBL model as research conclusion.Keywords: learning outcomes, learning model, Inquiry, Problem Based Learning.

Abstract

This research was focusing on the low of student’s learning outcome, specially on Basic Electronics subject at SMKN 2 Payakumbuh. The subjective is to reveal the effect of applying Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model to the subject. By using Quasi experimental with simple random sampling; one of probability sampling tecnique, the model was enducted in experiment class. A control class where Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model, was also implemented to compare the treatment. The primary data was measured by structured  test (Post-test) according to basic competences described of the subject based on the t-test result, complying the pre-requisite test such as normalityexamination, this research found that t>t0 (2,48 > 2.01). This proves that there are significant differences in student learning outcomes using cooperative learning model type Students Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) with Scientific approach of Problem Based Learning type in subjects of Basic Electronics Technique class X Audio Technique Video at SMKN 2 Payakumbuh.Keywords : Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD, Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model,  learning outcomes, learning model.

Abstract

The research was conducted by analyzing the optical fiber attenuation of the DWDM performance in terms of power received on optical fiber communication systems link Padang-Lubuk cone in PT. Telkom Padang. Optical fiber has a very small damping. Therefore optical fibers become the primary choice in telecommunications networks. To improve the transmission quality is better then the use of DWDM technology, DWDM technology is a method to insert a number of channels were transmitted in a single optical fiber. Instruments in this study is the Power Meter and OTDR JDSU MTS-2000 type, the type of cable used G.655 Single Mode type. Link Power Budget method is used to determine the performance of DWDM caused by attenuation based on the value of the received power output receiver. On the link Padang - Lubuk cone highest attenuation occurs in core 1 of 29.742dB with 100.035 km cable lengths, and the core 10 of 31.8 dB with 119.998 km cablelengths. Based on the large fault or attenuation/km core 1 of 0.297 dB/km, the core 10 of 0.265 dB/km and the standard ITU-T was 0.35 dB/km. Value attenuation/km core 1 and core 10 is still in normal conditions and under standard ITU-T 0.35 dB/km. Based on optical fiber attenuation, the results of analysis of the link power budget is the value of Rx is smaller than the value of Rx sensitivity of -27 dBm, it can be said performance DWDM optical fiber communication systems in normal and can be used to operate because the power output can still be accepted by receiver in the device. Keywords:optical fiber cable, optical fiber attenuation, DWDM, link power budget.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal how much the contribution of learning interest and the utilization of laboratory facilities together and individually on learning outcomes. The type of this research is descriptive correlational research using simple random sampling technique for sampling, so that the sample used is as many as 40 people from the population, amounting to 67 students of class X TAV in SMK Negeri 2 Solok. The research method used is in two ways, namely with documentation and questionnaires / questionnaires. Data analysis test results showed (1) Interest in learning contributed significantly to the learning outcomes of Class X TAV students of SMK Negeri 2 Solok by 11.83%, (2) Utilization of laboratory infrastructure contributed significantly to the learning outcomes of Class X TAV students of SMK Negeri 2 Solok amounted to 15.84%, (3) The interest in learning and the utilization of laboratory infrastructure together contributed significantly to the learning outcomes of class X TAV of SMK Negeri 2 Solok at 34.92%. So it can be concluded that the interest in learning and utilizing laboratory infrastructure contributes significantly to the learning outcomes of class X TAV students at SMK Negeri 2 Solok, the higher the interest in learning and the maximum utilization of laboratory infrastructure means the higher the learning outcomes.Keywords: Interest in Learning, Use of Laboratory Infrastructure, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Today's technological developments are growing rapidly, but there are still jobs that are done manually and semi-manually. This paper aims to develop a control system to coordinate the work of tools using an electric motor, which is very helpful in the process of cutting onions in large quantities and is more efficient in spending production costs because the tool designed is an automatic onion cutter. This research method begins with the collection of materials and data related to onion cutters, production of onion cutters, and testing of onion cutters. The measurement results of the tool show that every component in the automatic onion cutter works well and optimally; the measurement process is carried out properly and thoroughly. This optimal work result is supported by Arduino Uno. The Arduino Uno microcontroller acts as a tool controller. In the main system, the onion cutter is controlled by the Arduino Uno with the Arduino programming language. This automatic onion cutting system will work when the onion you want to cut has been inserted into a cross-section that has been equipped with an ultrasonic sensor, and then the onion cutting process is carried out. Compared with the manual method, the cutting time is almost the same. It's just that the advantages of slicing with this tool, the resulting slices are relatively more uniform. Besides that, another advantage is that it doesn't hurt the eyes of the onion slicer. So that this tool can be used by small entrepreneurs and onion farmers to increase productivity and the community's economy.

Abstract

Modul interaktif merupakan sarana pembelajaran yang berisi materi yang menarik simpel, mudah dan menyenangkan sehingga proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih aktif untuk mencapai kompetensi yang diharapkan. Pada mata pelajaran Penerapan Rangkaian Elektronika (PRE) dihadapkan pada lemahnya pemahaman siswa akan konsep teori-teori yang diajarkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan penggunaan modul interaktif dengan aplikasi canva terhadap mata pelajaran Penerapan Rangkaian Elektronika (PRE). Dalam pembuatan modul ini memakai model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Penilaian modul dari segi materi dilaksanakan oleh 2 ahli. Ahli 1 memberikan penilaian untuk kelayakan modul dengan persentase 95,3% dan dikategorikan “Sangat Valid”. Ahli 2 menilai kelayakan modul dengan persentase 97,6% dan dikategorikan “Sangat Valid”. Skor rata-rata yang diraih terhadap penilaian 2 validator dengan persentase 96,4% dikategorikan “Sangat Valid”. Penilaian modul dari segi media dilaksanakan oleh 2 ahli. Ahli 1 menilai kelayakan modul dengan persentase 88% dan dikategorikan “Sangat Valid”. Ahli 2 menilai kelayakan modul dengan persentase 96% dan dikategorikan “Sangat Valid”. Skor rata-rata yang diraih dari penilaian 2 validator dengan persentase 92% dikategorikan “Sangat Valid.Kata kunci : Modul Interaktif, ADDIE, Ahli Materi, Ahli Media.  Interactive modules are learning tools that contain interesting, simple, easy and fun materials so that the learning process becomes more active to achieve the expected competencies. In the subject of the application of electronic circuits, students are faced with the weakness of students understanding of the theoretical concepts being taught.  This study purposes were to determine the feasibility of using an interactive module with the Canva application in the Application subject of Electronic Circuits (PRE). In making this module used the model of ADDIE “(Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation)”. The assessment of the module in material terms was carried out by 2 experts. Expert 1 assesses the feasibility of the module with a percentage of 95.3% and is categorized as "Very Valid". Expert 2 assesses the feasibility of the module with a percentage of 97.6% and is categorized as "Very Valid". The average score achieved from the assessment of 2 validators with a percentage of 96.4% is categorized as "Very Valid". The assessment of the module in terms of media was carried out by 2 experts. Expert 1 assesses the feasibility of the module with a percentage of 88% and categorized was as "Very Valid". Expert 2 assesses the feasibility of the module with a percentage of 96% and categorized was as "Very Valid". Abstract

Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan memiliki tujuan untuk mempersiapkan lulusannya agar siap bekerja. Lulusan yang siap kerja adalah lulusan yang memiliki kompetensi yang menjadi tuntutan industri atau dunia kerja. Hal ini menjadi tanggung jawab guru untuk mempersiapkan lulusannya dengan kompetesni yang dibutuhkan dunia kerja. Tujuan pelatihan ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan aplikasi simulasi elektronika yaitu proteus kepada guru SMK di kota Payakumbuh guna memenuhi tuntutan dunia kerja saat ini yaitu memiliki kompetensi literasi digital yang mumpuni. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah SMK Negeri 2 Payakumbuh . Kegiatan pelatihan ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan praktek . Dari hasil evaluasi dketahui bahwa guru-guru yang mengikuti kegitan ini 90% berhasil menggunakan aplikasi ini dengan kategori  baik. Sedangkan evaluasi pada proses kegiatan dinilai baik dan masih perlu perbaikan untuk ke depannya. Training on the Use of Electronic Simulation Applications to Increase Digital Literacy for Vocational School Teachers in Payakumbuh City Vocational High School has a goal to prepare its graduates to be ready to work. Graduates who are ready to work are graduates who have competencies demanded by industry or the world of work. It is the teacher's responsibility to prepare graduates with the competencies needed by the world of work. The purpose of this training is to provide training on electronics simulation applications, namely Proteus, to vocational teachers in the city of Payakumbuh in order to meet the demands of the current world of work, namely having qualified digital literacy competencies. Partners in this activity is SMK Negeri 2 Payakumbuh. This training activity is carried out using lecture and practice methods. From the evaluation results it is known that the teachers who participated in this activity were 90% successful in using this application in the very good category. While the evaluation of the activity process is considered good and still needs improvement in the future.

Abstract

Antena merupakan salah satu perangkat telekomunikasi yang masih digunakan sampai sekarang dengan tujuan dan aplikasi tertentu. Antena yang ada telah banyak mengalami modifikasi untuk mendapatkan beberapa parameter demi mencapai fungsi yang diinginkan. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan perhitungan dimensi dan desain antena microstrip dengan pencatuan coaxial-fed yang bekerja pada frekuensi 2.4 GHz. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh truncated corner terhadap bandwidth dan return loss pada antena microstrip 2.4 GHz. Pendekatan eksperimental dilakukan untuk melihat optimasi antenna dengan menambahkan truncated corner untuk menambah bandwidth antena. Penambahan truncated corner menggunakan teknik parameter sweep untuk koefisien truncated corner (ptc) dari 0 sampai 6 dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruhnya terhadap bandwidth, return loss, dan frekuensi kerja dari antena tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan truncated corner memberikan pengaruh terhadap bandwidth dimana bandwidth mengalami kenaikan sampai pada nilai tertentu yakni sebesar 1.3 MHz. Selain itu, juga terjadi pergeseran frekuensi kerja antena ke frekuensi yang lebih tinggi dan lebih rendah diikuti dengan perubahan nilai return loss yang didapatkan.Kata kunci : Truncated Corner, Bandwidth, Return Loss, dan Microstrip. Antenna is one of the telecommunications equipment that is still used today for specific purposes and applications. The existing antenna has undergone many modifications to obtain several parameters to achieve the desired function. In this research, the dimensions and design of a coaxial-fed microstrip antenna were calculated and worked at a frequency of 2.4 GHz. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of the truncated corner on the bandwidth and return loss of the 2.4 GHz microstrip antenna. An experimental approach was taken to see antenna optimization by adding a truncated corner to increase the bandwidth of the antenna. The addition of a truncated corner using the parameter sweep technique for a truncated corner (ptc) coefficient from 0 to 6 was carried out to see the effect on the bandwidth, return loss, and working frequency of the antenna. The results showed that the addition of a truncated corner affected bandwidth where the bandwidth increased to a certain value of 1.3 MHz. In addition, there is also a shift in the working frequency of the antenna to a higher and lower frequency followed by a change in the value of the return loss obtained. Keywords: Truncated Corner, Bandwidth, Return Loss, dan Microstrip.

Abstract

Perancangan perangkat ini bertujuan untuk membuat sistem kontrol dan monitoring Penyiraman Tanaman Cabai Otomatis berbasis Internet of Things. Monitoring dan pengontrolan dilakukan dalam proses penyiraman agar penyiraman berjalan dengan optimal. Dalam pembuatan alat ini menggunakan metode waterfall. Pembuatan sistem kontrol dan monitoring ini menggunakan beberapa komponen yaitu NodeMCU ESP8266, Sensor Kelembapan (Soil Moisture Sensor), Sensor Suhu (DHT11), Sensor Debit Air (Waterflow ), RTC (Real Time Clock), dan Smartphone. Cara kerja  alat ini adalah dapat menyiram tanaman cabai secara otomatis sesuai jadwal yang telah ditentukan pada aplikasi Blynk yaitu pukul 07:00 dan 17:00 WIB. Saat waktunya menyiram, pompa akan hidup dan mati sesuai jadwal serta saat kondisi kelembaban tanah ≥ 80%. Notifikasi akan muncul di smartphone pengguna melalui blynk untuk remote control dan monitoring serta Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) untuk close monitoring. Hasil pengujian alat menunjukkan bahwa sistem bekerja dengan sangat baik sesuai dengan yang diharapkan.Kata kunci : Penyiraman Tanaman Cabai, Internet of Things, NodeMCU ESP8266, Blynk. The design of this device aims to create an Internet of Things-based Automatic Chili Plant Watering control and monitoring system. Monitoring and control is carried out in the watering process so that watering runs optimally. In making this tool using the waterfall method. This control and monitoring system uses several components, namely NodeMCU ESP8266, Soil Moisture Sensor, Temperature Sensor (DHT11), Water Flow Sensor, RTC (Real Time Clock), and Smartphone. The way this tool works is that it can water chili plants automatically according to the schedule specified in the Blynk application, namely 07:00 and 17:00 WIB. When it's time to water, the pump will turn on and off according to schedule and when soil moisture conditions are ≥ 80%. Notifications will appear on the user's smartphone via blynk for remote control and monitoring as well as liquid crystal display (LCD) for close monitoring.
