Abstract

The organic Rankine cycle has been used as a power plant that utilizes low temperature heat sources such as biomass, geothermal, and waste heat from conventional power plants. This study was conducted to analyze the energy performance of the organic Rankine cycle as a result of changes in condensation temperature using a more environmentally friendly working fluid as a substitute for R245FA, namely R515A and R1234ZE. The system performance is based on the variation of the condensation temperature using Genetron Properties software with the evaporation temperature being held constant. The important quantities analyzed are mass flow rate, pumping power, heat absorption, turbine pressure ratio, and thermal efficiency. The results of this study indicate that increasing the condensing temperature greatly increases the pumping power consumption but decreases the pressure ratio in the turbine, and the thermal efficiency of the system. The pumping power used to circulate R515A and R1234ZE is greater than that of circulating R245FA, but the thermal efficiency of the ORC system using R1234ZE is greater than that of R245FA and R515A.

Abstract

The use of a turbocharger in large diesel engines has become a demand because it can increase engine output and efficiency by utilizing exhaust gas from combustion (exhaust gas). Turbocharger is a device to increase the intake of air into the cylinder by utilizing the energy of exhaust gases from combustion. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of differences in the turbocharger pressure ratio on diesel engine performance using Diesel-RK software. The diesel engine under study is model 4D56 2.5L which uses a single turbocharger with maximum power of 136 PS at 4000 rpm and maximum torque of 324 N.m at 2000 rpm. The compressor pressure ratio under study was only 1.5 and 2.5 compared to a diesel engine without a turbocharger or natural aspirated engine (NA). The engine capacity is 2477 cc, 4 cylinders, and the compression ratio is 18:1. The fuel used is SME Biodiesel (Soya Methyl Ester, C15H28) with a cetane number of 56.5. The results of this study indicate that the use of a turbocharger will lead to an increase in engine power, especially at a high compressor pressure ratio due to the larger air filling when compared to the NA diesel engine for the engine speed range of 750 rpm to 5000 rpm. For diesel engines that use a turbocharger, the BSFC will decrease with increasing engine speed. NOx emissions increase with increasing turbocharger compressor pressure ratio when compared to NA diesel engines, and this occurs over the entire engine speed range (750 rpm – 5000 rpm). NOX emissions decrease as engine speed increases

Abstract

The crankshaft is one of the main components that converts the potential energy of the fuel into rotating power for the piston engine. Because in the process of working the crankshaft changes the piston's back and forth motion into a rotating motion of the shaft. To minimize the effects of damage that occurs due to various types of dynamic loads acting on the crankshaft components, the design process should first know the working stress distribution. Meanwhile, as a tool in analyzing it, Solidworks software is used. From the results of this analysis, the location or position of the damage due to too high a loading can be identified early. This the authors in this study want to raise a title, namely "Analysis of Stress in the Crankshaft Yamaha Rx-King Year 2005 Using Solidwork Software". Based on the results of the theoretical calculation with the radial force loading of 1.4 N, the bending moment is 10388.1 N / mm, the normal stress is 33.76 N / mm2 , the shear stress is 10.328 N / mm2, the maximum stress is 33.21 N / mm2, and the minimum stress is 3.55N / mm2. Based on the simulation results with solidwork software, the maximum stress is 4,83511e-007 N / m2. FOS (factor of safety) based on analysis using software obtained by 4.339e + 004 N / m2.

Abstract

The Tunas Baru business unit is a freshwater fish cultivation group in Mata Air Village which still uses conventional fish marketing and sales systems. In this digital era, this method is no longer an effective and efficient way to increase income, so a more effective and efficient Android-based marketing and sales method is needed to increase daily turnover and productivity. The aim of this activity is to disseminate the eFishery application as an Android-based application that can carry out Android-based marketing and sales of freshwater fish. This activity method begins with recognizing partners' need for an Android-based fish marketing and sales application that can increase income. Followed by the formulation of the problems encountered and the unification of ideas to solve these problems. Furthermore, dissemination and application of the eFishery application is carried out for partners in running their business every day. Evaluation of activities is carried out as a final check of all activities that have taken place. The results of this activity show that the use of Android-based marketing and sales applications is very useful for increasing business owners' income both in the short and long term. This application has a good influence on the effectiveness of fish cultivation because it makes it easier for business owners to obtain the latest information that is directly related to the cultivation of various types of freshwater fishery products.

Abstract

Abstrak Pelatihan pengadaan barang dan jasa di desa melalui program pengabdian masyarakat ini diperuntukan bagi apatur desa untuk Desa Baumata, Desa Baumata Barat, Desa Baumata Timur, Desa Baumata Utara, dan Desa Bokong. Tujuan dari penyelenggraan kegiatan ini anatara lain, Pertama Memberikan pengetahuan kepada para aparatur desa agar dalam pelaksanaan pengadaan barang dan jasa sesuai dengan peraturan.  Kedua  memberikan pemahaman tentang pengadaan barang dan jasa di desa dengan  metode swakelola. Ketiga menjelaskan cara pengadministrasian dokumen pengadaan barang dan jasa. Keempat memberikan pemahaman cara pengawasan dan kontrak dalam pelaksanaa pengadaan barang/jasa di desa melalui swakelola. Dengan adanya pelatihan ini diharapkan aparatur desa tidak salah dalam proses pengadaan barang dan jasa melalui swakelola baik dari segi proses, pelaksanaan, pengawasan, administrasi, dan pertanggungjawaban.  Pelatihan  diikuti 10 orang peserta, adapun khalayak sasaran peserta terdiri dari Ketua TPK dan angota TPK dari lima desa. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan ini menggunakan metode ceramah, tutorial, contoh kasus, dan diskusi. Hasil dari pelaksanaan kegiatan dievaluasi melalui posttest. Dari 10 peserta memiliki nilai rerata 85. Semua peserta antusias mengikuti acara hingga selesai dan merasakan manfaat pelatihan untuk meningkatakan akuntabilitas dan transparansi pengunaan dana desa. Peserta pelatihan juga menilai bahwa pelatihan ini penting dan sangat diperlukan bagi perangkat desa. Kata kunci: swakelola, barang, jasa, aparatur desa. Abstract Training on procurement of goods and services in villages through this community service program is intended for village officials for Baumata Village, West Baumata Village, East Baumata Village, North Baumata Village, and Bokong Village. The objectives of holding this activity include, firstly, providing knowledge to village officials so that the procurement of goods and services is by regulations. Second, it provides an understanding of the procurement of goods and services in villages using self-management. Third, it explains how to administer goods and services procurement documents. Fourthly, it provides an understanding of how to supervise and contract the implementation of the procurement of goods/services in villages through self-management. With this training, it is hoped that village officials will avoid mistakes in procuring goods and services through self-management in process, implementation, supervision, administration, and accountability. Ten participants attended the training, and the target audience of participants consisted of the TPK Chair and TPK members from five villages. This training activity was implemented using lectures, tutorials, case examples, and discussion methods. The results of implementing activities are evaluated through a posttest. Of the 10 participants, the average score was 85. All participants enthusiastically attended the event until the end and felt the benefits of the training in increasing accountability and transparency in using village funds. The training participants also considered that this training was essential and essential for village officials.Keywords: self-management, goods, services, village apparatus.

Abstract

Abstract Specimen cutting is one of the most important and widely used processes in the metal and nonmetal industry. From several existing specimen cutting technologies, mechanical testing in the form of micro cutting was chosen to design and analyze micro-scale specimen cutting machines. Micro cutting specimen is a machine operated in manual or automatic cutting mode, equipped with safety protection function. Design and analysis of micro-scale specimen cutting machines for mechanical testing in the form of micro-cutting using the Solidworks application. There are 3 components analyzed using Solidworks in this study, namely the swing arm, cutting arm and frame components. The results of the stress analysis for the swing arm are 21.797 MPa, the displacement is 2.468 mm and the factor of safety is 2.85. For the cutting arm, the results of the stress analysis are 37,344 MPa, the displacement is 2,296 mm and the factor of safety is 16,613. For the framework, the results of the stress analysis are 2.177 MPa, the results of the displacement analysis are 0.0175 mm and the factor of safety is 12.664. Keywords : Micro Cutting, Solidworks

Abstract

Since 2000 power plants with the organic Rankine cycle (ORC) are the most widely used in the world that utilize low-temperature heat sources such as industrial heat waste, biomass, geothermal and solar energy. The working fluid for the ORC system must meet several criteria of physical properties including, environmentally friendly, non-flammable, non-toxic, and non-corrosive. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of condensation temperature on the thermodynamic performance of a standard organic Rankine cycle with turbine power of 20 kW with working fluids R245FA, and R515A. Simulation of system performance using Genetron Properties software with evaporation temperature held constant at 80oC and condensation temperature varied at 30 – 40oC. The results of this study indicate that increasing the condensing temperature greatly increases the pumping power consumption but decreases the pressure ratio in the turbine, and the thermal efficiency of the system. The pumping power used to circulate the R515A is ±2.2 times higher than that of circulating it. The thermal efficiency of the ORC system that uses the two working fluids reviewed does not have a significant difference

Abstract

The use of more environmentally friendly refrigerants in air conditioning systems has become a central demand and issue in the future. This article presents the simulation results of the comparison of the use of R32 (difluoromethane), R290 (propane) and R410A (difluoromethane+pentafluoroethane) on the performance of air conditioning systems. The thermodynamic analysis of the system using the two refrigerants used the CoolTools version 1.0 software at several variations of the evaporation temperature, with the condensation temperature held constant. The important quantities analyzed are heat release in the condenser, compressor power, and coefficient of performance. The results of this study indicate that the performance of air conditioning using R290 is higher than the use of R32 and R410A while the lowest coefficient of performance is owned by air conditioning using R410A. In addition, R290 is more environmentally friendly than R32 and R410A, so the use of R290 is highly recommended

Abstract

The process of drying a hybrid system that uses a combination of solar energy and biomass contains some useful heat in the chimney of the biomass stove. This heat waste has a high enough temperature so that with the help of a compact heat exchanger it can be used as an additional heater. The purpose of this study was to analyze the performance of a cross-flow type discrete flat plate-finned tube compact heat exchanger with an inline tube arrangement which is used as an additional heating device in the hybrid dryer housing. The test was carried out at 10.00-15.00 for three days of testing with variations in air flow velocity of 1.3 m/s, 1.6 m/s and 1.8 m/s while the velocity of water flow in the pipe was considered constant with 0.000168 m/s. s and the air flow velocity in the exhaust fan is kept constant at 1 m/s. The results of this study indicate that the overall heat transfer coefficient is strongly influenced by the effectiveness of the heat exchanger, and with the increase in the effectiveness of the heat exchanger, the heat transfer coefficient will also increase. The highest overall heat transfer coefficient was obtained on the second day, namely 99.263 W/m2.oC. The total heat transfer rate is influenced by the effectiveness of the heat exchanger but at a certain value both values ​​tend to be stable due to the limited dimensions of the heat exchanger. NTU is very influential on the effectiveness of the exchanger, and in this case the value of NTU ranges from 0.6-0.8 while the effectiveness of the heat exchanger ranges from 46%-56%
