Abstract

Plagiarism and duplicate thesis titles pose serious challenges to maintaining research originality among students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. This study aims to implement the cosine similarity method to detect thesis title similarity and evaluate its performance using standard metrics. The research data comprised 1,000 thesis titles processed through preprocessing stages, TF-IDF feature extraction, cosine similarity calculation, and model evaluation. Results show the system can detect similarity with 87.33% accuracy, 100% precision, 58.70% recall, and 73.97% F1-score. Perfect precision indicates the system is highly reliable in identifying similar titles without false positives. However, the relatively low recall indicates that some similar titles remain undetected. This research provides practical contributions as a tool for verifying the authenticity of thesis titles and encourages the development of more sensitive similarity-detection systems in the future.

Abstract

General elections are a fundamental pillar of modern democratic systems, requiring an implementation that is efficient, fair, and inclusive. One of the key factors influencing the success of an election is the determination of polling station locations, as their placement directly affects voter accessibility, travel distance, and public participation. Inappropriate polling station allocation can lead to service inequality, voter congestion, and a decline in the overall quality of the voting process. At the local administrative level, polling station determination is still largely conducted manually by grouping voters based on neighborhood or administrative boundaries. This conventional approach is often time consuming, prone to administrative errors, and frequently results in an uneven distribution of voters across polling stations. In addition, electoral regulations impose limits on the maximum number of voters per polling station to ensure smooth and orderly voting procedures, which are not always optimally satisfied through manual methods. As voter data complexity and geographic dispersion increase, computational approaches are needed to support more effective decision making. Clustering techniques in unsupervised learning enable objective grouping of voters based on spatial characteristics. The Fuzzy C-Means method represents a suitable approach because it can accommodate data uncertainty and overlapping service areas. The application of this method is expected to produce a more efficient, equitable, and data driven distribution of polling stations, thereby contributing to the improvement of election management quality and democratic integrity

Abstract

ABSTRAKManajemen ruang rawat inap merupakan komponen penting dalam operasional rumah sakit karena berkaitan langsung dengan kualitas pelayanan dan keselamatan pasien. Peningkatan jumlah pasien, keterbatasan kapasitas kamar, serta sistem penjadwalan yang masih bersifat manual sering menyebabkan ketidakefisienan dalam alokasi ruang rawat inap. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan manajemen ruang rawat inap di RS PKU Unismuh Makassar melalui penerapan algoritma Priority Scheduling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif terapan dengan simulasi sistem berbasis data ketersediaan kamar, kondisi medis pasien, tingkat urgensi, kelas ruang rawat inap, serta spesialisasi dokter. Algoritma Priority Scheduling diterapkan untuk menentukan urutan pelayanan dan alokasi kamar berdasarkan prioritas medis pasien. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mengalokasikan ruang rawat inap secara optimal, terutama bagi pasien dengan prioritas tinggi, dengan tingkat efisiensi penggunaan ruang mencapai 100%. Selain itu, sistem dapat mengurangi waktu tunggu dan meningkatkan ketepatan pengambilan keputusan dalam penempatan pasien. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa algoritma Priority Scheduling efektif dan adil dalam mendukung optimalisasi pengelolaan ruang rawat inap. Implikasi penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar pengembangan decision support system berbasis algoritma dalam manajemen rumah sakit. The increasing number of patients, limited room capacity, and manual scheduling systems often lead to inefficiencies in inpatient room allocation. This study aims to optimize inpatient room management at PKU Unismuh Makassar Hospital through the application of the Priority Scheduling algorithm. The research employs an applied quantitative approach using system simulation based on inpatient room availability data, patients’ medical conditions, urgency levels, room class categories, and doctors’ specializations. The Priority Scheduling algorithm is implemented to determine service order and room allocation according to patients’ medical priority levels. The results indicate that the proposed system is able to allocate inpatient rooms optimally, particularly for high-priority patients, achieving 100% room utilization efficiency for critical cases. In addition, the system reduces patient waiting time and improves the accuracy of decision-making in room assignment. The study concludes that the Priority Scheduling algorithm is an effective and fair approach for optimizing inpatient room management. The findings imply that this algorithm can be utilized as a decision-support system to enhance efficiency, responsiveness, and resource utilization in hospital inpatient services. Abstract

ABSTRAKPerkembangan bahan ajar digital meningkatkan risiko pelanggaran hak cipta dan pemalsuan konten, sehingga diperlukan mekanisme perlindungan yang tidak mengganggu tampilan visual. Penelitian ini mengimplementasikan watermark‎ing‎ tak terlihat dengan menggabungkan Quick Response (QR) Code sebagai pembawa informasi dan steganografi‎ Least Significant Bit (LSB) sebagai teknik penyisipan pada citra yang terdapat dalam dokumen. Sistem dikembangkan berbasis web dengan tiga modul utama: pembuatan QR Code‎, penyisipan watermark‎, dan validasi dokumen. Evaluasi dilakukan pada 10 dokumen berformat DOCX dan PDF dengan total 169 gambar. Kinerja imperceptibility diukur menggunakan Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) dan Mean Squared Error (MSE). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan PSNR berada pada rentang 55,4–67,1 dB dengan MSE sangat rendah (0,02–0,19), menandakan kualitas visual citra tetap terjaga. Selain itu, seluruh watermark‎ berhasil diekstraksi (100%) dan QR Code‎ dapat dipindai tanpa kegagalan. Validasi integritas payload‎ secara opsional menggunakan CRC32 terbukti membantu memastikan keutuhan data yang disisipkan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi QR Code‎ dan LSB efektif, andal, dan efisien untuk melindungi bahan ajar digital dari penyalahgunaan tanpa menurunkan kualitas visual.Kata Kunci: Watermark‎ing‎ tak terlihat; QR Code‎; steganografi‎; Least Significant Bit; bahan ajar digital. ABSTRACTThe growth of digital teaching materials increases the risk of copyright infringement and content tampering, requiring protection mechanisms that do not degrade visual quality. This study implements an invisible watermark‎ing‎ scheme by combining Quick Response (QR) Code as the information carrier and Least Significant Bit (LSB) steganography for embedding within images contained in documents. A web-based system was developed with three core modules: QR Code‎ generation, watermark‎ embedding, and document validation. The evaluation used 10 DOCX and PDF documents comprising 169 images. Imperceptibility was assessed using Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Mean Squared Error (MSE). Experimental results indicate PSNR values of 55.4–67.1 dB with very low MSE (0.02–0.19), confirming that visual quality is preserved. All embedded watermark‎s were successfully extracted (100%), and the QR Code‎s remained fully scannable without failure. Optional payload‎ integrity checking using CRC32 further ensured the correctness of embedded data. Overall, the proposed QR Code‎–LSB combination provides a reliable and efficient approach to protect digital teaching materials against misuse while maintaining visual fidelity.Keywords: Invisible watermark‎ing‎; QR Code‎; steganography; Least Significant Bit; digital teaching materials.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mendorong meningkatnya penggunaan layanan transportasi online di Indonesia, salah satunya adalah aplikasi Grab. Banyaknya ulasan pengguna di Google Play Store menjadi sumber data yang berharga untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan dan persepsi masyarakat terhadap layanan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengklasifikasikan sentimen ulasan pengguna Grab menggunakan kombinasi metode VADER Lexicon dan algoritma Support Vector Machine (SVM). VADER digunakan untuk memberikan skor awal sentimen secara leksikal, kemudian hasil tersebut digunakan sebagai data anotasi untuk melatih model SVM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi kedua metode ini efektif dalam mengelompokkan sentimen ulasan menjadi positif, negatif, dan netral secara lebih akurat. Pendekatan ini dapat membantu penyedia layanan memahami kebutuhan dan keluhan pengguna, serta meningkatkan kualitas layanan secara berkelanjutan.
