Abstract

This study aims to develop the lecture method of prospective elementary school teachers in utilizing puppet media as an implementation of local wisdom and storytelling skills in explaining the job profession to elementary school students. The use of puppets as learning media in the form of fairy tales contains subject matter that is rich in the applicative value of character education and moral values for students. Puppet shows can make learning more effective and efficient because of the elements of education such as students, educators, educational interactions, educational goals, subject matter, tools and methods and the educational environment to be fulfilled. One example of a theme in the 2013 curriculum that can use the puppet profession as an educational medium of moral value is the theme "Various Works" intended for fourth grade students of Elementary School. The method used to achieve the goal is through Development Research with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) which is directed at developing puppet media and fairy-tale texts that explain the occupational profession to elementary school students. This study seeks to develop lecture methods that can provide storytelling skills and make puppet media for prospective elementary school teacher students in one of the private colleges of the city of Cirebon in explaining my theme material and my dreams for elementary school students. Keywords: Traditional Puppet, Elementary School Learning Media, Thematic Basic Education

Abstract

Keberadaan pendidikan nilai moral sebagai esensi utama dari setiap mata pelajaran, keberhasilan capaiannya ditentukan oleh tingkat kemampuan guru sebagai pendidik dalam menggali dan menyuguhkan nilai moral kepada siswa dalam kemasan yang disenangi dan mudah dipahami. Diperlukan kemampuan dan kemauan yang tinggi untuk dapat menyampaikan pesan nilai moral kepada siswa. Namun demikian, tidak setiap pendidik menyadari hal tersebut. Permasalahan lebih kompleks lainnya yaitu diketahui bahwa pola pembelajaran yang diterapkan di sekolah dasar tidak selalu mendukung peraihan kualitas siswa dalam membangun makna dari suatu pelajaran atau peristiwa, rendahnya kreativitas pendidik dalam mengeksplorasi makna nilai dari suatu materi, pelibatan siswa terbatas fisik tanpa mengindahkan mental dan spiritual, dan juga rendahnya tingkat kesadaran pentingnya penggugahan pendidikan nilai moral dan penggunaan media yang tepat guna kepentingan pembentukan pribadi ideal siswa di masa yang akan datang. Program pelatihan ini berupaya untuk membangun kesinambungan antara pola pembelajaran dengan kualitas membangun makna diri siswa sekolah dasar, mendorong pendidik untuk dapat mengoptimalkan pencarian ragam kreatifitas dalam melaksanakan pendidikan nilai moral dan penyampaian pesan pembelajaran hingga dapat ditangkap sempurna oleh siswa, mengenalkan media yang tepat sasaran dalam pendidikan nilai mampu melibatkan siswa secara fisik, mental, dan emosional sekaligus dalam satu waktu, dan membentuk karakter ideal sumber daya manusia Indonesia sedari dini dengan pendidikan nilai moral melalui pagelaran wayang profesi. Pelatihan dilaksanakan di SDN 1 Padahanten – Majalengka dengan sasaran para tenaga pengajar dan siswa kelas IV sebagai objek dari pendidikan nilai moral.

Abstract

THE SOCIAL MULTILITERATION MODEL IN UNDERSTANDING THE VALUES OF STUDENT MORALITIES IN SDN 1 CIKALAHANGLearning that has been done so far only emphasizes the cognitive aspects without introducing the moral values. The social multiliteration learning model in understanding the moral values of students is considered very important because students are required to master an understanding of social phenomena and global demands. Therefore, life skills and careers can be built in students; responsibilities in learning; working and creating; students' ability in civilization; and understand the moral knowledge contained in the learning process. This study aims to describe the needs of learning model and design social multiliteration learning model in understanding the values of morality of students at SDN 1 Cikalahang. The writer uses a case study research with a qualitative approach. Observation and interview used to collect the data. Questionnaire needs and unstructured interviews used as the instruments. Indicators of needs analysis include models, media, competencies and evaluation of learning. Analysis of the needs for learning model obtained a total score of 94 which is very good category, while the design of social multiliteration learning model in interpreting moral responsibility is very necessary because the current morality of students is decreasing. The implementation of social multiliteration learning models can help students in interpreting the moral knowing of responsibility character through the activities of raising rabbits, as well as seen from the effectiveness and attractiveness of student learning interests.

Abstract

Abstrak. Kurangnya pemahaman tentang kearifan lokal Cirebon pada mahasiswa PGSD tingkat I Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati menyebabkan minimnya pengetahuan yang dimiliki. Hal ini sangat miris, mengingat Cirebon adalah kota budaya dan kota religi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan desain media pop up book kearifan lokal Cirebon, mengetahui sejauh mana motivasi belajar dan minat belajar mahasiswa menggunakan media pop up book kearifan lokal Cirebon. Jenis penelitian ini adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu purposive rondom sampling. Desain pop up book dibuat oleh mahasiswa setelah mereka melakukan observasi lapangan, dengan menggali nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dan sosial kemasyarakatan dalam pembelajaran sosial. Analisis data desain pembelajaran menggunakan validasi ahli yang terdiri dari ahli media pembelajaran dan ahli materi kearifan lokal Cirebon, motivasi belajar dan minat belajar diukur menggunakan rating scale. Hasil penelitian yaitu 1) Desain media pop up book kearifan lokal Cirebon dalam pembelajaran sosial kategori sangat sesuai dengan memperoleh rata-rata skor 3.20. Artinya media pop up book kearifan lokal Cirebon yang dibuat mahasiswa dapat digunakan tanpa revisi karena sudah sesuai dengan prinsip VISUALS yaitu visible, interesting, simple, useful, accurate, legitimate, structured. 2) Motivasi belajar mahasiswa menggunakan media pop up book kearifan lokal Cirebon dalam pembelajaran sosial memperoleh skor 119.85 dengan kategori sangat setuju sebanyak 85.60%.  Dengan adanya media media pop up book kearifan lokal, memudahkan mahasiswa dalam memahami materi tentang kearifan lokal Cirebon sehingga mahasisw termotivasi untuk menjaga dan melestarikan budaya lokal agar tidak dimakan zaman. 3) Minat belajar mahasiswa menggunakan pop up book kearifan lokal Cirebon dalam pembelajaran sosial memperoleh rata-rata skor 83.7 dengan kategori baik sebanyak 74.73%. Dengan adanya media media pop up book kearifan lokal, mahasiswa dapat mencintai dan mewarisi budaya agar tidak terpengaruh oleh faktor globalisasi.  Kata kunci: Media Pop Up Book, Kearifan Lokal Cirebon, dan Pembelajaran Sosial Abstract. The lack of understanding of Cirebon local wisdom in the first-level PGSD students at Gunung Swadaya Gunung Jati caused a lack of knowledge. This is very sad, considering that Cirebon is a city of culture and religious city. This study aims to describe the pop up book design of the local wisdom of Cirebon, to find out the extent to which learning motivation and learning interest of students using pop up books, Cirebon local wisdom. This type of research is a case study with a qualitative approach. The sample used in this study was purposive rondom sampling. The pop up book design is made by students after they make field observations, by exploring the values of local wisdom and social society in social learning. Analysis of learning design data using expert validation consisting of learning media experts and Cirebon local wisdom material experts, learning motivation and interest in learning are measured using a rating scale. The results of the study are 1) Cirebon local wisdom pop up book media design in social learning category is very appropriate to obtain an average score of 3.20. This means that Cirebon local wisdom pop up book media created by students can be used without revision because it is in accordance with the VISUALS principle, which is visible, interesting, simple, useful, accurate, legitimate, structured. 2) Learning motivation of students using Cirebon local wisdom pop up book media in social learning scores 119.85 with a very agreeable category of 85.60%. With the existence of local wisdom pop up book media, it makes it easier for students to understand the material about Cirebon local wisdom so that students are motivated to preserve and preserve local culture so that it is not eaten by the times. 3) The interest in learning students using Cirebon local wisdom pop up book in social learning gained an average score of 83.7 with a good category of 74.73%. Abstract

Culture-based character education is crucial in shaping individuals who can adapt and contribute positively in the era of Society 5.0, marked by digital transformation and the complexity of global challenges. This research explores the role of local cultural values as the primary foundation for the development of students' character. Through in-depth interviews and document analysis, values such as mutual cooperation, respect for others, and local wisdom are identified as key elements shaping character. The integration of technology in character education is also investigated as a key factor in achieving Society 5.0 goals, with findings indicating that technology can enrich educational experiences and provide broader access to cultural values. Active collaboration among schools, technology, and parents emerges as a strong foundation in shaping characters aligned with desired cultural values. The alignment of the curriculum with local cultural contexts is also found to be a determinant of the successful transfer of character values. Practical implications of this research include the need for policy revisions, teacher training, and collaborative programs to strengthen the implementation of culture-based character education in achieving the vision of Society 5.0. Thus, this research provides a significant contribution to the understanding and implementation of relevant and responsive character education in the dynamics of modern society.

Abstract

Sundanese culture has various values and norms that are upheld by its people. One of the important concepts in Sundanese culture is silih asih, silih asuh, silih asah, which describes harmonious social relationships and mutual assistance between people. In the context of ethnopedagogy, the concept can play an important role in local wisdom-based education. This study aims to explore the Sundanese ethnic mentifact culture of silih asih, silih asuh, silih asah in the context of ethnopedagogy and to find out the implementation of silih asih, silih asuh, silih asah in elementary schools. This research focuses on how the concept of silih asih, silih asuh, silih asah can enrich and strengthen educational practices in Sundanese society. This research method uses a qualitative method of ethnography. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation studies. The data analysis technique used is descriptive interpretative. The results showed that silih asih, silih asuh, silih asah, are still relevant and applied in the daily lives of Sundanese people. These values not only strengthen social ties but also have the potential to be applied in the world of education. In addition, it can help shape and improve the character of students who have empathy, tolerance, responsibility and enthusiasm for learning. In the context of ethnopedagogy, the values of silih asih, silih asuh, silih asah can be integrated into learning to create a more meaningful and local wisdom-based learning environment. The implementation of these values can help maintain and preserve Sundanese culture and improve the quality of learning.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the values of local wisdom in the mentifact culture of the Cirebon Ethnic saying "ingsun titip tajug lan fakir miskin". The research used a qualitative method.  Data were collected or extracted using open interview techniques, documentation studies and direct observation of Cirebon cultural heritage sites. Informants include, Cirebon cultural figures, education figures and Cirebon community leaders. The data validation uses triangulation techniques. Triangulation is an approach taken by researchers to explore and perform qualitative data processing techniques. The research resulted in the conclusion that; the expression petatah petitih Cirebon contains local wisdom values; (1) the value of faith and devotion to God Almighty; (2) social values and togetherness, (3) the value of responsibility, and (4) the value of mutual cooperation. These values can be used as learning materials and resources through an ethnopedagogical approach in elementary schools. Recommendations that the expression of petatah petitih 'ingsun titip tajug lan fakir miskin' can be implemented into culture-based learning in the Cirebon ethnic community as an effort to preserve local culture.

Abstract

Iodine deficiency remains a major health issue, especially in highland regions like Cisukadana Village, leading to an increased risk of goiter that affects metabolism and growth. This study explores an alternative method to improve iodine intake through the use of factory ash waste in salted egg processing. Factory ash waste is known to contain microelements such as iodine, calcium, and magnesium, which can enhance the nutritional value of salted eggs. The research consisted of three stages: community counseling on iodine importance, practical training on making salted eggs using a salt and ash mixture, and product distribution for evaluation. Eggs were soaked in a brine solution mixed with ash waste for 8–10 days to ensure iodine absorption. The results showed that this method increased iodine content in the eggs, extended shelf life, and improved texture and taste. The program positively impacted the community in health (goiter prevention), social (community involvement and student participation), and economic (potential new business using local resources) aspects. This innovation demonstrates a sustainable approach to enhancing iodine intake while reducing industrial waste impact.

Abstract

The article explores the concept of internalizing global diversity behavior through an activity that aims to improve students' Pancasila profile in learning Civic Education. By examining how Pancasila, the core concept of the Indonesian state, promotes tolerance and unity in variety and its significance. The author discusses how integrating a global perspective can enrich students' understanding of diversity and foster a sense of citizenship. With reference to relevant literature and the educational framework of the Merdeka Curriculum. Merdeka Curriculum is revolutionary regarding the field of education that aims to strengthen student independence in the learning process, increasingly emerging as a response to the need for more adaptive and contextualized education. Then, propose strategies to strengthen students' Pancasila profiles in order to effectively embrace global diversity. This study looks at how project-based learning might foster qualities of global diversity and strengthen the Pancasila Student Profile at SD Negeri Larangan 1 Cirebon City.  This research uses Mixed Method or commonly called Qualitative and Quantitative Methods, involving the principal, class teacher and 30 students who participated in the activities of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project. The data collection methods used are observation, questionnaires and interviews. This study found that the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Activity urges Global Diversity behavior with the results on the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project variable in Civics Learning reaching 81% "Very Strong" and on the Global Diversity Behavior Internalization variable reaching 86% "Very Strong", understanding and honoring culture, reflecting on and interacting with other cultures, and taking responsibility related to diversity experiences, and social justice. Ideally, this study will be able to improve and implement global diversity behavior in everyday life, both in school and society.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan pelaksanaan penelitiannya ialah mendeskripsikan strategi guru dan kolaborasi sekolah dan orang tua guna menumbuhkan kejujuran akademik sebagai penguatan pendidikan karakter siswa sekolah dasar di abad ke-21. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Lokasi pelaksanaan penelitiannya ialah di SDN Cangkol 2 Kota Cirebon dengan melibatkan 20 siswa kelas V dan seorang guru wali kelas sebagai informan utama. Data diperoleh melalui angket dan wawancara mendalam. Temuan studi memperlihatkan bahwasanya mayoritas siswa telah memiliki tingkat kejujuran akademik yang tinggi, terutama dalam mengerjakan tugas secara mandiri dan menghargai hasil kerja sendiri. Namun, masih ditemukan kecenderungan menurun saat menghadapi tekanan ujian. Guru berperan penting dalam menanamkan nilai kejujuran melalui keteladanan, komunikasi terbuka, serta kerja sama dengan orang tua. Pembentukan karakter di lingkungan sekolah dan dukungan keluarga terbukti memperkuat karakter jujur siswa.  Kata Kunci: Kejujuran akademik, pendidikan karakter, sekolah dasar, kolaborasi guru dan orang tua   ABSTRACT This study aims to describe teachers’ strategies and the collaboration between schools and parents in foresting academic honesty as a reinforcement of character education among elementary school students in the 21st century. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied at SDN Cangkol 2, Cirebon City, involving 20 fifth-grade students and one homeroom teacher as key informants. Data were collected through questionnaires and in-depth interviews. The findings revealed that most students demonstrated a high level of academic honesty, particularly in completing tasks independently and appreaciating their own work. However, honesty tends to decline during exam situations. Teacher play a crucial role in cultivating honesty through exemplary behavior, open communication, and cooperation with parents. Character building within the school environment, supported by family involvement, effectively strengthens students’ honest character.
