Abstract

This study examines how digital transformation (DT) drives business sustainability (BS) by synthesizing fragmented research on the integration of digital technologies—such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and big data analytics—with sustainability strategies. Using a PRISMA-compliant scoping review of 45 peer-reviewed articles published between 2018 and 2025 and guided by the Dynamic Capabilities Theory and the Triple Bottom Line framework, the study systematically maps industry focus, research methods, theoretical grounding, and sustainability dimensions. The review identifies five dominant pathways through which DT supports BS: circular economy enablement, smart resource management, supply chain transparency, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven decision-making. These technologies have been shown to improve resource efficiency, reduce emissions, and enhance ESG performance, yet the literature is heavily concentrated in developed economies, underrepresents small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and emerging markets, and relies primarily on quantitative, cross-sectional designs that offer limited causal or longitudinal evidence. For practitioners, aligning DT initiatives with strategic sustainability goals, developing organizational change-management capabilities, and fostering collaborative ecosystems are critical to realizing systemic sustainability gains. For policymakers, addressing issues of standardization, interoperability, and equitable access to digital resources is essential. This study contributes an integrated synthesis using established theoretical frameworks, clarifies the mechanisms linking DT and BS, and proposes a future research agenda emphasizing theoretical integration, methodological diversity, and broader geographic coverage.

Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) activity was carried out by a team from Ciputra University Surabaya at Citra Berkat School (SCB) and Citra Kasih School (SCK) Surabaya with a primary focus on strengthening networks, collaborative education, and human resource development through the student choir community. This program aims to increase the capacity of participants, especially in the aspects of motivation, self-development, and the ability to work together as an arts community. The approach used included motivational training, learning the concept of Ikigai to help students find personal purpose and meaning in musical activities, and mentoring collaborative practices to create a positive and productive learning environment. The results of the activity showed that students gained a better understanding of their potential, the role of the community in character development, and the importance of networks and partnerships in supporting the creative process and improving the quality of choirs. This program is expected to become a model for sustainable collaboration between universities and schools in supporting the achievement of the SDGs, especially point 4 (Quality Education) and point 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

Abstract

The growing urgency of environmental sustainability has positioned Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) as a pivotal research domain in organizational and management studies. This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review (SLR) of GHRM research published in Scopus-indexed journals, drawing upon a corpus of 50 peer-reviewed articles spanning 2016 to 2025. Using bibliometric indicators—including publication trends, citation analysis, keyword co-occurrence, and authorship patterns—alongside a thematic synthesis of study findings, this paper maps the intellectual landscape of GHRM scholarship. The analysis reveals an accelerating growth in GHRM publications post-2020, driven by increasing regulatory pressures and the global sustainability agenda. Four dominant research clusters are identified: (1) GHRM practices and employee green behavior; (2) GHRM and organizational environmental performance; (3) mediating and moderating mechanisms in GHRM–outcome relationships; and (4) sector-specific and contextual applications of GHRM. The AMO (Ability–Motivation–Opportunity) framework dominates theoretical discourse, while PLS-SEM predominates methodologically. Research concentrates in manufacturing and hospitality sectors in developing economies, particularly Asia and the Middle East. Critical gaps include insufficient longitudinal designs, limited cross-cultural analyses, and the underexplored intersection of GHRM with digital transformation. This paper contributes a comprehensive research roadmap for future GHRM scholarship and offers actionable implications for HR practitioners integrating sustainability into human capital strategies.
