Pre menstrual syndrome can be prevented by various therapies, one of which is complementary therapy, one of which is meditation. The research design used was pre-experimental with a pre-post design approach, the study sample numbered 20 respondents, data analysis used in this study included univariate analysis using frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using paired t-test samples. The results showed there was an increase in the mean between before and after by 5 points, and ρvalue = 0.0001 <α 0.05 then there was the effect of complementary therapy "meditation" on the decrease in the intensity of pre menstrual pain syndrome. Basically, giving this meditation therapy can provide a relaxed condition where in a relaxed condition all body systems will work well and in this condition the hypothalamus will adjust and decrease the activity of the sympathetic nervous system and increase the activity of the parasympathetic system. Meditation therapy can be done every day at leisure and has no side effects.

Abstract

The process of limestone mining will resulted in limestone dust on the working environment. This can lead to inhalation of the limestone dust which can cause respiratory problems. The type of the research was analytic with Cross Sectional design. The population was all workers in Bukit Kapur Jaddih, Parseh Village, Socah District; 52 workers. The sample was 45 workers taken by simple random sampling technique. The independent variable was compliance to use mask protective equipment, while the dependent variable was respiratory disorders. The data was collected by questionnaires and observation physical observation.  The data was analyzed using Lambda test, with α= 0.05.The results of the research showed that workers who did not use PPE (masks) were 35 workers (77.8%), who experienced respiratory problems were  39 workers (86.7%), and 6 workers (13.3%) did not experience respiratory problems. The lambda test results p Value of 0.073>α (0.05) meant that H0 was accepted and H1 was rejected. The compliance to use personal protective equipment (masks) and the presence of respiratory problems showed no correlation. For this reason, workers must continue to use masks while working to protect themselves from the effects of occupational breathing (lime dust).

Abstract

Hypertension is a prevalent issue commonly encountered among the aged population, which can significantly impact their overall quality of life. Peer Group Education might be considered as a viable approach to enhancing the overall well-being and quality of life among the aged population. Peer group education refers to the systematic dissemination of education and knowledge to cohorts of individuals who perceive themselves to share commonalities in terms of age, mindset, hobbies, or other relevant attributes with their peers. The objective of this study was to examine the impact of Peer Group Education on the quality of life among elderly individuals diagnosed with hypertension. The research employed a purposive sampling technique, targeting a population of 42 individuals residing in Palebon Duduksampeyan Village. The final sample size consisted of 38 participants. The independent factors were measured using a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), whereas the dependent variable was assessed by a questionnaire on quality of life. Before peer group education, 36.8% of elderly individuals with hypertension reported a moderately bad quality of life; after peer group education, nearly 81.6% reported a reasonably excellent quality of life. These findings related to the impact of peer group education on the quality of life of elderly people with hypertension. The Wilcoxon ranks test was utilized to assess the impact of peer group education on the quality of life among senior individuals with hypertension. The resultant p-value was 0.008, with a significance level (α) of 0.05. The quality of life of older individuals residing in Palebon Village, Ponkesdes, is impacted by the presence of hypertension.

Before the Counseling, all 43 students (100%) showed symptoms of neurosis (psychological issues), 37 (86%) exhibited psychotic symptoms, and all 43 students (100%) displayed symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). After the Counseling, 19 (44%) still showed symptoms of neurosis, 17 (39%) exhibited psychotic symptoms, and 18 (42%) continued to display PTSD symptoms. There was a significant reduction in the number of students experiencing mental health problems post-counseling, with a p-value of 0.00<0.05. The Pojok Cerita (Po'rita) Counseling program is effective in maintaining the mental health of teenagers at SMA Negeri 1 Kebomas. It is recommended that the Po'rita Counseling program collaborate with school Counseling services to provide therapeutic interventions for adolescent mental health issues.

Abstract

Introduction: Infection is one of the diseases that often occurs in children under five. Malnutrition is one of the causes of infection. Malnutrition and poor nutrition reduce body resistance to various diseases, especially infectious diseases. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the infectious diseases history and children under five nutritional statuses at Integrated Healthcare Center (Posyandu) Sumur Nangka, Modung District, Bangkalan Regency.Method: This research was observational with cross sectional design. The independent variable is a history of infectious disease and the dependent variable is nutritional status in children under five. The population of this research was all children under five at Posyandu Sumur Nangka, Suwaan Village, Modung Subdistrict, with a total of 45 children with a sample size of 32 children who were selected by simple random sampling. Data collection using a questionnaire. Test data analysis using the Lambda correlation test. Results:  The study results showed that 24 (75.0%) children had infectious diseases history and 8 (25.0%) children did not have. Eight (25.0%) children had good nutritional status, 22 (68.8%) children had poor nutritional status, and 2 (6.2%) children had excess nutritional status. Lamda's statistical test showed that the value of p (0.003) <α (0.05) means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. There was a significant relationship between the infectious diseases' history and the nutritional status of children under five. Conclusion: The infection history affects the nutritional status of children under five. Parents must monitor the health of children under five and the nutritional status of toddlers actively by monitoring nutritional intake and weighing toddlers periodically.
