Abstract

Abstract

The success and failure of a destination tend to rest on its’ capacity to satisfy the visitors. Listening to visitors’ appraisal and voices is vital in community-based tourism development. This study aims to explore WPP Dalegan visitors’ voices. The data are collected through Dalegan visitors’ online reviews and direct observation. The study finds that Dalegan has a high competitive advantage as family recreational destination as it is cheap, reachable, accessible, has various local-traditional-cheap food, beautiful calm beach and soft white sand as a playing and learning ground for children. Despite its’ comfortable image, some visitors voice unsatisfied services, facilities, nature-caused and human-caused threats. The study also illuminates that Dalegan destination branding is not only influenced by its’ capacity to attract visitors by its’ beautiful marine nature, but also local community characters, community education and values. The study indicates that to develop tourism destination, local potentials are not the only determinant keys. It needs to be supported by other determining factors. One of those factors is tourists’ voices on their impression, comments, satisfaction and dissatisfaction feelings. Linking potential resources of destination and tourists’ meaningful experience can be challenging as different tourists may have different perspectives, wants and satisfaction-dissatisfaction levels.

Abstract

THE ADVANCED ELECTRIC FIELD FROM QUAD-ELECTRODE MODE FOR BLOOD CANCER TRAPPING: SIMULATION STUDY. Blood cancer is a disease caused by the rapid cleavage of white blood cells (WBC), which increases in the human circulatory system. Furthermore, based on the original nature of WBC during cleavage, which is the same as ionic bonds, electric field filtering, and trapping is used to treat leukemia patients. The electric field generated by the electrode with an AC voltage source plays a role in the migration of the WBC to high electric field intensity. The Quad-electrode field distribution is conducted using the Finite Element Method (FEM), and an electric field gradient analysis is conducted to determine the effectiveness of each coordinate system. According to the simulation results, the second model with an input voltage of 0.68 V has the highest intensity of electric field distribution, with an effective depth at Z = 30 mm, and the best coordinate along the X-axis and Y-axis are 30 mm. In conclusion, the center of the Quad-electrode system center is the best location for placing filters and trapping leukocytes by utilizing electric field distribution on the electrode system for the development of blood cancer biomedical therapy technology.

Abstract

This research is conducted by utilizing strain gage uniaxial sensor with internal resistance 120 ohms and brass cantilever beam that is to build electronic mass scale in gram level. Basically, the aim of this research is to study deflect phenomenon measured by the strain gage sensor attached in the end of brass cantilever beam. Brass material was chosen to build cantilever as its Young moudulus contanst is bigger than other materials. Whilst mass loads for analizing brass cantilever profile are calibrated by manual Ohaus mass scale (PA214 type) with 0.07 gram load variations. The test result of this electronic mass scale system gets relationship of mass load data variation versus output voltage data (from differential amplifier). The relationship between mass and voltage can be approached by polynomial formula m = 4.2372V2 – 2.4551V + 1.5606 where m in gram and V in volt, and it gets 0.07 or 7% average error (less than linear formula approach). This formula is used further for programming ADC in 8-bit microcontroller to calculate mass and the calculation is shown in LCD 16x2.

Abstract

The web server single-board provides web access to some digital I/O and serial I/O signals without the need for assistance from external PCs or UNIX computers. It’s stand-alone device with real-time networking kernel, a TCP/IP stack, and HTTP web server. This project started partly as an excuse to use a new microprocessor and partly to settle a long-standing argument about the possibility of delivering web pages with a commercial microcontroller. The Atmel AT90S8515 microprocessor looked exciting with it’s low power RISC processor, 8 KB flash program memory, 512 bytes of EEPROM, 512 bytes of RAM, 32 I/O lines, and a built-in UART. The proposed device is designed application for physics related instrumentation and its more general usage.

Abstract

Electrical impedance tomography (EIT), as a non-ionizing tomography method, has been widely used in various fields of application, such as engineering and medical fields. This study applies an iterative process to reconstruct EIT images using the simultaneous algebraic reconstruction technique (SART) algorithm combined with K-means clustering. The reconstruction started with defining the finite element method (FEM) model and filtering the measurement data with a Butterworth low-pass filter. The next step is solving the inverse problem in the EIT case with the SART algorithm. The results of the SART algorithm approach were classified using the K-means clustering and thresholding. The reconstruction results were evaluated with the peak signal noise ratio (PSNR), structural similarity indices (SSIM), and normalized root mean square error (NRMSE). They were compared with the one-step gauss-newton (GN) and total variation regularization based on iteratively reweighted least-squares (TV-IRLS) methods. The evaluation shows that the average PSNR and SSIM of the proposed reconstruction method are the highest of the other methods, each being 24.24 and 0.94; meanwhile, the average NRMSE value is the lowest, which is 0.04. The performance evaluation also shows that the proposed method is faster than the other methods.
