Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk: a) Memberikan pelatihan tentang model pembelajaran inovatif bagi guru-guru KKG UPT PDD Kecamatan Sewon, b) memberikan pelatihan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas bagi guru-guru KKG UPT PPD Kecamatan Sewon, c) memberikan pelatihan menulis artikel ilmiah bagi guru-guru KKG UPT PPD Kecamatan Sewon. Adapun metode yang digunakan yaitu pendidikan dan pelatihan bagaimana cara mengembangkan kompetensi guru dalam pembelajran dan penelitian. Hasil yang dicapai yakni selama tiga hari guru menjalani pedidikan dan pelatihan, guru telah memahami dan menerapkan model, metode, dan media pembelajaran yang inovatif dalam rancangan pembelajarannya, guru juga telah mampu merancang dan menerapkan model dan media pembelajaran inovatif ke dalam proposal penelitian tindakan kelas. Terakhir, guru telah memahami penulisan artikel ilmiah dan cara pemublikasiaanya.

Abstract

Critical literacy skills still need to be developed, considering that the essential power of students is not yet maximized, which is characterized by being easily provoked and having difficulty solving problems. Candidates for elementary school teachers who will later be in control at the basic education level are expected to master these abilities before they teach them to students. This study aims to analyze the extent of critical literacy mastery of elementary school teacher education students. The method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The research was conducted at the Department of Elementary School Teacher Education, with 142 students. To collect data, this study used interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Bogdan and Biklen model, namely analyzing data by narrowing the findings based on phenomena. The result of this research is that the mastery of critical literacy, owned by the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program students, is quite good even though all students do not evenly share this mastery. Mastery of critical literacy is manifested in collaborative activities, socio-cultural linkages, and the involvement of reflective thinking. This study implies that essential literacy learning should be part of the curriculum to have an honest and targeted impact.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the discourse structure used in Nyadran Agung ritual which was held in Kulon Progo District. The data of the research are words (utterances) and material elements in the ritual. The data are collected through observation and in-depth interview. The collected data are validated using key informant review, source triangulation and method. To analyze the data, the researchers perform interactive analysis technique and Teun Van Dijk’s model of discourse analysis. The result shows that discourse structures of Nyadran Agung ritual are divided into macro structure, superstructure, and micro structure. The macro structure covers social-culture, religious value, tolerance, and mutual assistance. The superstructure covers pre-preface, preface, content, and closing. The micro structure is observed from the sentence types used during the ritual which covers declarative and imperative (politeness, request, hope, and invitation) sentences.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan struktur wacana ritual Nyadran Agung di Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata-kata (tuturan) dan unsur material dalam ritual Nyadran Agung. Data diperoleh dengan observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Data yang telah diperoleh divalidasi dengan review informan kunci, triangulasi sumber, dan metode. Data yang telah divalidasi dianalisis dengan teknik analisis interaktif dan model analisis wacana Teun Van Dijk. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa struktur wacana dalam ritual Nyadran Agung terbagi menjadi struktur makro, superstruktur, dan struktur mikro. Struktur makro ritual Nyadran Agung, yaitu sosial-budaya, religius, toleransi, dan gotong royong. Superstruktur dalam ritual Nyadran Agung terbagi menjadi empat bagian, yaitu prapendahuluan, pendahuluan, isi, dan penutup. Struktur mikro dilihat dari jenis kalimat, dalam ritual Nyadran Agung ditemukan kalimat deklaratif, imperatif (santun, permintaan, harapan, dan ajakan).

Abstract

Interest in reading among children in Indonesia is still at a low level. Low reading interest requires supporting factors that can influence reading interest. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of family literacy on students' reading interest. This study uses a type of quantitative research with the type of ex post facto. Data collection techniques using observation and questionnaires. The analysis used in this research is an analysis using descriptive associative research. In this study the statistical technique used is simple linear regression analysis. Simple linear regression is used only for one independent variable and one dependent variable. The results of the research show that family literacy has an influence on students' interest in reading. Evidenced by the t test which shows the number 5.245. From the results of the t test which shows that the family literacy variable partially influences the variable interest in reading with a significance level of 0.000. The results of the determinant test showing the influence of family literacy on reading interest is the R result of 0.258

Abstract

Online games that are overgrowing and a favorite of children have had positive and negative impacts. The existence of the media causes many problems. If parents are negligent in supervising children, it will undoubtedly result in game addiction. Children who are already addicted to online games will experience several accompanying effects. These effects affect children's motivation, learning achievement, and social skills. Even though these things should exist in children in their current development period, this study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the intensity of online games and parents' attention to the social skills of elementary school children. This type of research is quantitative research with a survey method. The subjects of this study were 246 elementary school students spread across the city of Yogyakarta. Sampling from the study population was carried out using a proportional random sampling technique, namely the method of taking samples from members of the people using random methods without regard to strata in the population. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Data analysis technique using Regression statistical techniques. The study's results stated that the relationship between online games and social skills, parental attention and social skills, and the relationship between the two towards social skills were fragile.

Abstract

This study aims 1) producing a language politeness e-module based on the independent curriculum that is feasible and practical and 2) testing the effectiveness of the language politeness e-module to measure students' mastery of language courtesy at the elementary school level. The method used was Research and Development with the design of the ADDIE development model. This research was conducted on elementary school students in the Special Region of Yogyakarta by considering the category of elementary schools using the prototype curriculum so that the development of this research product is indeed needed as teaching materials for polite language in elementary schools. The sample of the study was chosen using purposive sampling techniques. Research instruments included interview sheets and questionnaires for the analysis of teaching material needs, validation questionnaires for material experts and teaching material experts, interview guideline sheets, and closed questionnaires for media effectiveness tests. Data analysis techniques used descriptive, qualitative-quantitative, and t-test. According to media and material experts, the result of this study was that teaching language politeness based on an independent curriculum was feasible. The average score obtained from the results of the feasibility assessment of material experts I was 4.42 with excellent categories, and media experts 4.6 with excellent categories. The average assessment eligibility score from teachers in product trials included the feasibility of presenting 4.72 with excellent categories, 4.40 with language with excellent categories, 4.90 with displays with excellent categories, and 4.40 with teaching material content conformity with excellent categories. Overall, language politeness teaching materials based on the independent curriculum were declared fit for use after several revisions based on expert advice with an excellent and good final assessment. Teaching materials that are declared suitable for use by teachers so that they can be applied in the learning process in elementary schools.

Abstract

Keprihatinan akan banyaknya tanyangan yang tidak mendidik anak melatarbelakangi munculnya film animasi Nussa dan Rara yang syarat akan nilai karakter. Film ini merupakan salah satu tontonan alternatif yang bisa digunakan untuk penanaman karakter melalui film. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi nilai karakter yang terdapat pada film animasi Nussa dan Rara episode Baik itu Mudah dan cara penanaman karakter pada anak melalui film Nussa dan Rara episode Baik itu Mudah.  Metode yang digunakan yaitu analisis isi. Subjek penelitian ini yakni film animasi Nussa dan Rara episode Baik itu Mudah yang diambil dari laman Nussa official di Youtube. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu film animasi Nussa dan Rara episode Baik itu Mudah memuat enam nilai karakter.  Keenam  nilai  karakter  tersebut  antara  lain:  religius,  menghargai prestasi, cinta lingkungan, kerja keras, rasa ingin tahu, dan peduli sosial. Jika anak senantiasa melihat tayangan yang mendidik bahkan yang mengajarkan karakter  baik,  maka  tak  dipungkiri  ke  depan  dia  akan  menjadi pribadi  yang berkarakter sesuai harapan bangsa.

Abstract

Media pendidikan karakter berkembang dengan variatif sejalan dengan berkembangnya teknologi. Saat ini penumbuhan nilai karakter bisa dilakukan dengan media cerita anak berbasis teknologi yang menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai karakter yang termuat pada cerita anak bermuatan digital yang tersaji di dalam Literacy Cloud. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis isi dengan instrumen berupa human instrument atau peneliti sendiri. Sumber data berupa teks yang disajikan dalam cerita anak digital. Objek dalam penelitian ini yaitu cerita anak berbasis digital sedangkan subjeknya yaitu nilai-nilai karakter dalam cerita anak berbasis digital yang disajikan Literacy Cloud. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian adalah teknik simak dan teknik catat. Hasil temuan dari penelitian ini adalah dalam cerita anak bermuatan budaya yang disajikan terdapat 9 nilai karakter yakni: (1) bersahabat; (2) peduli sosial; (3) menghargai prestasi; (4) kerja keras; (5) mandiri; (6) kreatif; (7) rasa ingin tahu; (8) tanggung jawab; dan (9) jujur. Berdasarkan temuan dari penelitian ini, diharapkan memberikan salah satu alternatif media pendidikan karakter yang menyenangkan untuk anak. Penelitian ini masih beberapa keterbatasan, sehingga membutuhkan penelitian selanjutnya mengenai efektivitas atau pengaruh media cerita anak digital yang tersaji dalam Literacy Cloud. Character education through digitizing culturally charged children's stories: An analysis of literacy cloud applicationsCharacter education media develops variably in line with the development of technology. Character values can be grown with engaging technology-based children's story media. This study aims to analyze the character values in digitally charged children's stories presented in the Literacy Cloud. The method used is content analysis with instruments from human tools or researchers. The data source is in the form of text shown in digital children's stories. The object of this study is a digital-based children's story, while the subject is character values in a digital-based children's report presented by Literacy Cloud. The techniques used to collect research data are listening techniques and note-taking techniques. The findings of this study are that in culturally charged children's stories presented, there are nine-character values, namely: (1) friendly; (2) social care; (3) rewarding achievements; (4) hard work; (5) independent; (6) creative; (7) curiosity; (8) responsibility; and (9) be honest. Based on the findings of this study, it is expected to provide an alternative to fun character education media for children. This research still has some limitations, requiring further research on the effectiveness or influence of digital children's story media presented in the Literacy Cloud.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the needs analysis of developing a Project Based Teaching Module to increase the creativity of PGSD S1 students in designing independent curriculum-oriented elementary school learning. This study employed a mixed method approach, specifically utilizing a sequential explanatory design combination research design. The study employed quantitative methodologies and focused on 4th semester students in the PGSD FIPP UNY Study Program, resulting in a population size of 215 students. The study employed a random sampling technique to choose a group of students in their 4th semester. The sample technique employed the Isaac and Michael Tables. The collection of quantitative data was conducted using survey methodologies. The research instrument employed questionnaires that had been previously delineated with a grid. Additionally, the questionnaire instrument that was created to assess student creativity underwent validation and reliability testing prior to its use in the field. The gathered quantitative data were evaluated using descriptive methods. The quantitative data analysis was conducted using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software, specifically version 25. Qualitative data were acquired by the utilization of qualitative methodologies, specifically through the means of interviews, observations, and documentation approaches. The tools employed in qualitative research encompass interview protocols, observation protocols, and documentation protocols. Meanwhile, qualitative data in this study was analyzed using data analysis (Miles &; Huberman, 2014) which includes condensation data, display data, and conclusion drawing / verification. The result of this research is that PGSD FIPP UNY students need teaching materials to support learning, especially in the Elementary School Indonesian Language and Literature Education Development Course. This is evidenced by the results of questionnaires filled out by 62 respondents from different classes, showing that the need for teaching materials for the Education Development course is needed by them. It is proven by the results of the questionnaire that 100% of students stated that they needed teaching materials for tool development, especially those based on the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Pengabdian pada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan membangun kesadaran dan melatih orang tua untuk menjadi orang tua yang melek digital. Pandemi Covid-19 berdampak pada proses belajar mengajar di sekolah, Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) menjadi solusi efektif agar pembelajaran tetap berjalan dan siswa tetap aman dari tertularnya virus. Teknologi digital memiliki dampak positif atau negatif tergantung penggunanya. Teknologi dapat memudahkan proses belajar mengajar, namun engagement yang terlalu sering dengan media digital dapat membawa dapat negative bagi anak. Anak berpeluang besar untuk berselancar di dunia maya dan rentan terpapar pornografi. Sayangnya, tidak semua orang tua sudah melek teknologi. Dilain sisi ada orang tua yang sibuk bekerja di luar rumah, sehingga mereka tidak mampu mengawasi anaknya dengan maksimal. Tim PkM-KKN berinisiatif mengadakan workshop pemanfaatan Google Family. Tim PkM bekerjasama dengan Sekolah DasarNegeri Imogiri untuk melatih orang tua mereka menggunakan aplikasi Google Family. Aplikasi Google Family ini dirancang untuk membantu orang tua menetapkan aturan dasar dan memandu pengalaman anak saat dia menjelajah secara online. PkM direncanakan dilaksanakan dua tahap. Tahap pertama, pelaksanaan workshop yang meliputi pemaparan materi dan pelatihan menggunakan Google Family. Tahap kedua, pelaksanaan pendampingan.
