Abstract

Education already become a basic human right since they were born. But geographical condition differentiates the level of education quality they get. Especially in most development countries with low implementation of ICT (Information, Communication, and Technology). In this digital era, it is hard to achieve an effective and efficient learning environment in rural areas. Infrastructures and teaching tools in those areas are very humble. Few books can be read. With limited educational background, social-economy issues will always keep remain. Love Borneo is an organic community that want to make a change for children in rural villages in West Kalimantan. They build a facility called Rumah Baca that provide good quality books suitable for children. They collect donated books and some money to buy books and educational games for children. Since 2015, they already build 10 Rumah Baca. But there are still so many villages that need this kind of facility. To build awareness about education for children in rural villages, this article discusses the development of a dedicated website called www.loveborneo.org that provides up to date information about this community and their activities. People around the world can access this website and can officially support this community. www.loveborneo.org is only one example of ICT implementation to help rural citizens.

Abstract

The blood processing replacement costs (BPPD) establishment in Indonesia is an incomprehensive cost calculation for blood services. Several countries have calculated costs for blood services at health care institutions through an activity framework plus generated blood products and components costs as well as blood services fees. This study aims to discuss the cost calculation method for blood services carried out in Zimbabwe, Canada, United Kingdom, Greece and India. It was a literature review conducted by accessing scientific articles sourced from the Google Scholar database. A total of 11 articles were collected, but only 5 with relevant topics were discussed. Blood service cost calculation provides information of various activities involved in producing a product and service. Also, blood service framework model determination was needed as a cost center for estimation to prevent duplication. Each activity's total output from the cost center was used in calculating the unit cost of the activity or product. The blood products and components include whole blood, red blood cells, platelets, plasma (FFP), and cryoprecipitate. Each of the blood components require a different cost determined by the activity involved in their production.

Abstract

The problem of stunting that occurs in Indonesia is caused by one of the sensitive factors, namely bad parenting. Improper parenting can occur in mothers whose children are born too close together (<2 years). Postpartum contraception can also be a solution for those who are "4 too” The achievement of postpartum family planning services in Sarirejo District (65.12%) has not met the target (70%). This study aims to analyze the effect of age, number of children, level of education and knowledge of postpartum family planning plans for pregnant women in Sarirejo District. This type of analytic observational research with cross sectional design. The research subjects were all pregnant women in Sarirejo District in April 2023 with a total sample of 77 respondents. The results showed that the variables Age (p=0.001), Number of Children (p=0.001) and Knowledge (p=0.001) were related to postpartum contraceptive plans. Meanwhile, education level only at senior high school level (p=0.001) has an influence on postnatal contraceptive use plans. The conclusion is that postpartum contraceptive use increases with increasing maternal age, increases with increasing number of children, increases with maternal education and increasing knowledge. There is a need to increase understanding and knowledge of pregnant women about the importance of postnatal family planning through counseling and collaboration with village midwives.

Abstract

Globalization brought changes to traditional governance from paper-based administration to electronic governance services (e-government). The Surabaya City Government through the implementation of e-government formed e-health services to improve health services. The purpose of this study was to analyze the application of e-health services in health services at the Surabaya City Health Centers. The method of this research used a literature review study. The Publish on Perish application was used in Google Scholar searches with the keywords "implementation of E-health services", "E-health", "community health centers", and "implementation of E-health in the city of Surabaya" for the period 2016-2023 and on the https://app.covidence.org page to conduct screening so that 13 articles relevant to the topic were obtained. The implementation of e-health services had been implemented and some people and health workers felt the benefits, such as reducing queue volume, shortening patient waiting time, making it easier for patients to receive referral services, and being able to improve the performance of health center staff. However, there were still obstacles, including people who stuttered related to the use of technology, system errors, lights off, no helpdesk feature, patients did not cancel registration when they did not go to the health center, and patients who chose the wrong health centers. Based on this, the researcher concluded that the implementation of e-health had not been carried out properly and was not evenly distributed in all Surabaya City health centers.
