Abstract

One of the issues of concern to the government in Indonesia is nutritional status. The Covid-19 pandemic has changed eating habits and physical activity patterns, putting them at risk for obesity. This study aims to compare the risk of obesity before and during the pandemic based on eating habits and physical activity of young women. This research method was a comparative study with a population of young women and a sample of 190 people by means of sampling, namely purposive sampling. The method of collecting nutritional status data was measuring body weight and eating behavior questionnaires and physical activity using the Physical Activity Questionnaire-Adolescent (PAQ-A). The results of the study showed that there had been a change in eating habits during the Covid-19 pandemic in a better direction in the dimensions of eating regularity, breakfast, fruit consumption and eating with family. The frequency of consuming fried food during a pandemic had the risk of causing obesity during a pandemic, while other eating habits did not pose a risk of obesity before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. Physical activity was a protective factor against obesity during the Covid-19 pandemic, with OR = 0.135 and p value <0.05. Intervention regarding behavior change is urgently needed to address the problem of obesity during a pandemic.Keywords: physical activity; Covid-19; eating habit; obesity ABSTRAK Salah satu masalah yang menjadi perhatian bagi pemerintaham di Indonesia adalah status gizi. Pandemi Covid-19 mengubah pola kebiasaan makan dan aktivitas fisik, sehingga berisiko terhadap terjadinya obesitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan resiko obesitas pada sebelum dan saat pandemi berdasarkan kebiasaan makan dan aktivitas fisik remaja putri. Metode penelitian ini adalah comparative study dengan populasi remaja putri dan sampel sebesar 190 orang dengan cara pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Cara pengumpulan data status gizi adalah pengukuran berat badan dan kuesioner kebiasaan makan (Eating behavior questionnaire) serta aktivitas fisik dengan Physical Activity Questionnaire-Adolescent (PAQ-A). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadinya perubahan kebiasaan makan selama pandemi Covid-19 ke arah lebih baik dalam dimensi keteraturan makan, sarapan pagi, konsumsi buah dan makan dengan keluarga. Frekuensi konsumsi gorengan saat pandemi berisiko menimbulkan obesitas selama pandemi, sedangkan kebiasaan makan lainnya tidak memiliki risiko obesitas sebelum dan selama pandemi Covid-19. Aktifitas fisik merupakan faktor protektif terhadap kejadian obesitas selama pandemi Covid-19, dengan OR = 0,135 dan nilai p <0,05. Intervensi tentang perubahan perilaku sangat diperlukan untuk mengatasi masalah obesitas selama pandemi.Kata kunci: aktivitas fisik; Covid-19; kebiasaan makan; obesitas

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are dangerous diseases and result in death. The problems found by partners are the low coverage of NCD screening targets, access to health services and the absence of an integrated services centre for the elderly in the targetted area, which impacts NCD monitoring not being carried out. Community service activities aimed to prevent and suppress NCD cases, especially for older people in vulnerable groups. The solution was to detect NCD and provide education and counselling for older people with NCD problems. The community service partner was the Public Health Center. The method of implementing activities was health screening (measuring height and weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and uric acid), providing health education about hypertension and diabetes mellitus and health counselling for those indicated by NCDs in Pauh sub-District, Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia. The screening results found 15 healthy older people, 13 people with hypertension, ten people with diabetes, nine people with rheumatism, and seven people with high cholesterol. The results of education and counselling found an increase in knowledge by 16.69 points—follow-up plans by partners to form elderly health centres.

Abstract

Various recent studies have shown that natural active compounds contained in traditional and fermented plants play a crucial role in supporting human health. These compounds include flavonoids, polyphenols, tannins, saponins, alkaloids, organic acids, probiotics, and other phenolic compounds. Detection of these compounds is usually carried out through specific chemical reactions that allow researchers to more precisely identify the bioactive components. Their biological activities are diverse, including antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties, which work to protect the body from cell damage and infection. Natural compounds are considered promising agents for disease prevention and health promotion due to their broad biological activities. The fermentation process has been shown to increase the content of bioactive compounds while lowering the pH of the medium, creating conditions unfavorable for the growth of pathogenic bacteria. Furthermore, probiotics that develop during fermentation play a role in maintaining the balance of the gut microbiota, strengthening the immune system, and improving digestive health. Fermented products are widely recognized as functional foods because they contain beneficial probiotics and enhanced bioactive compounds. These naturally derived products, rich in secondary metabolites, have also been shown to have significant physiological effects, such as lowering cholesterol levels, controlling blood sugar, and maintaining stable blood pressure. This makes natural ingredients and fermented products not only sources of nutrition but also have great potential for development as functional foods and traditional herbal medicines. This highlights the importance of integrating traditional knowledge with modern scientific approaches in developing functional foods and herbal medicines. Therefore, research on natural bioactive compounds and the role of fermentation in enhancing their effectiveness is highly relevant to supporting sustainable public health.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the management accounting system to product quality control at PT Bio Maraja Nusantara. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, data is collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model, through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that PT Bio Maraja Nusantara implements a management accounting system effectively, focusing on quality control from raw materials to finished products. This system ensures that every stage of production adheres to strict quality standards, as well as motivates employees through a system of quality- and quantity-based incentives. Although the company has implemented this system well, the main recommendation is to maintain and continuously improve the management accounting system so that product quality control remains optimal.

Abstract

Breadfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) leaves are widely used in traditional medicine in Southeast Asia. Phytochemical screening of breadfruit leaves showed that the plant is rich in chemical contents that have potential as a source of natural medicine. The biological activity of breadfruit leaf phytochemicals showed potential in the treatment of various diseases. The benefits of phytochemicals (Development of natural medicines, Discovery of new chemical compounds, Development of cosmetic and food products, Improvement of quality of life through the use of natural products and Conservation of rare and endemic plants). this research uses the method Phytochemical screening of breadfruit leaves involves several stages: Extraction, Fractionation, Identification. The results stated that breadfruit leaves contain Steroid / Terpenoid compounds which indicate positive results in concentrated green, Saponin negative results that only precipitate not, Tannin positive results in blackish color, Flaphonoid positive results in red color and Alkoloid positive results in brown color.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas peran kegiatan ekstrakurikuler berbasis keagamaan dalam pembentukan karakter religius peserta didik. Kegiatan seperti pengajian, tahfiz Al-Qur'an, dan kajian akhlak memberikan ruang bagi siswa untuk mengaplikasikan nilai-nilai agama dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kegiatan tersebut membantu mengembangkan nilai-nilai seperti kejujuran, kesabaran, dan tanggung jawab. Meskipun demikian, terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan fasilitas dan partisipasi siswa yang mempengaruhi efektivitasnya. Dukungan yang memadai diperlukan agar kegiatan ini dapat berjalan optimal.

Abstract

Angka kenyamanan pasien atau pasien bebas dari nyeri merupakan salah satu indikator mutu pelayanan kesehatan di ruang rawat inap. Salah satu upaya perawat untuk meningkatkan angka mutu tersebut adalah manajemen nyeri nonfarmakologis. Irna non bedah memiliki angka nyeri yang cukup tinggi, namun angka tatalaksana nyeri yang dilakukan oleh perawat masih rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor yang berhubungan dengan pelaksanaan manajemen nyeri nonfarmakologis oleh perawat pelaksana di Irna Non Bedah. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain analitik dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 89 orang yang diambil secara purposive. Instrumen penelitin ini dibuat oleh peneliti yang telah dilakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lebih dari separuh (59,6%) perawat pelaksana kurang baik dalam melaksanakan manajemen nyeri nonfarmakologis. Berdasarkan uji statistic Chi-square, terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara pelatihan, pengetahuan, sikap dan motivasi terhadap pelaksanaan manajemen nyeri nonfarmakologis dengan masing-masing Pvalue (0,001; 0,007; 0,001; 0,001). Faktor yang memiliki kontribusi paling besar terhadap pelaksanaan manajemen nyeri nonfarmakologis adalah pelatihan. Oleh sebab itu diharapkan kepada institusi pelayanan untuk dapat membuat program pelatihan yang berkelanjutan tentang manajemen nyeri nonfarmakologis.
