Abstract

Good management will lead to the realization of the expected marketing, because marketing management is responsible for how the school's efforts to achieve the objectives set in its marketing, such as promoting schools to satisfy consumers and service quality. Marketing management needs to be considered by schools because it will determine the number of students who will enroll in the school. However, in marketing education that must be considered not only outside of school, such as placing advertisements, but also improving the internal school itself. Because with the existence of quality resources, it will give birth to a good image in the eyes of the community. Remember that consumer satisfaction must take precedence in this activity.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore how teachers utilize the Teacher Professional Allowance (TPG) to enhance their professional competencies at SD Negeri 9 Sembawa. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed involving the principal and certified teachers receiving the Teacher Professional Allowance as research informants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation and analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the Teacher Professional Allowance contributes significantly to strengthening teachers' pedagogical, professional, social, and personal competencies through participation in professional development activities, acquisition of learning resources, improvement of digital literacy, and instructional innovation. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of TPG utilization is influenced by leadership support, organizational culture, access to professional training, and teachers' individual motivation. This study contributes to educational management by demonstrating that professional allowances function not merely as financial incentives but also as strategic instruments for sustainable teacher professional development when supported by effective school management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in improving student development and learning effectiveness at SD Negeri 18 Tungkal Ilir. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed involving the principal, teachers, students, and parents as research participants. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, documentation, and learning outcome records, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings reveal that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum has enhanced students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development by promoting active, student-centered, and differentiated learning. Students demonstrated higher learning motivation, improved critical thinking, stronger collaboration, and greater learning independence. However, several challenges remain, including limited educational facilities, variations in students’ learning readiness, and teachers’ adaptation to differentiated instruction. Continuous collaboration among teachers, parents, and school management has become an important strategy for overcoming these challenges. This study contributes to educational management by providing empirical evidence on the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in supporting holistic student development and improving learning effectiveness in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the principal's interpersonal communication patterns in implementing academic supervision for novice teachers at SD Negeri 12 Muara Padang, recognizing that supervision quality extends beyond formal procedures. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the principal's interpersonal communication patterns were predominantly open, empathetic, supportive, positive, and egalitarian. During the pre-conference stage, the principal-built novice teachers' psychological readiness through friendly approaches and collaborative determination of supervision focus. In the observation stage, proper supervisory ethics and calming nonverbal communication were maintained. During the post-conference stage, feedback was delivered reflectively, dialogically, and constructively. These patterns significantly enhanced novice teachers' confidence, comfort, and performance, particularly in lesson planning and classroom instruction. This study offers a contextualized model of interpersonal communication in supervision specific to novice teachers in rural elementary schools, an area rarely examined qualitatively. Findings emphasize that principals must prioritize relational communication skills alongside technical supervisory competencies to effectively support early-career teachers. This research contributes empirical evidence that effective academic supervision is fundamentally determined by the quality of interpersonal communication, providing actionable guidance for school leaders and teacher training institutions in designing supervision frameworks that are both procedurally sound and relationally sensitive.

Abstract

This study examined the individual and simultaneous contributions of principals’ transformational leadership and teacher performance in predicting educational quality in public elementary schools. A quantitative cross-sectional correlational design was employed. The population consisted of 88 teachers from seven public elementary schools in Muara Telang District, Banyuasin Regency. A sample of 72 teachers was selected using proportional random sampling based on the Slovin formula with a 5% margin of error. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires. All 30 transformational-leadership items and all 30 teacher-performance items were valid, whereas 29 of 30 educational-quality items were valid. Each scale demonstrated high internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.80). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, simple linear regression, and multiple linear regression. Transformational leadership significantly predicted educational quality and explained 26.2% of its variance (R = 0.512; R² = 0.262; t = 4.988; p < 0.001). Teacher performance also significantly predicted educational quality and explained 21.7% of its variance (R = 0.466; R² = 0.217; t = 4.407; p < 0.001). Simultaneously, both predictors explained 34.0% of the variance in educational quality (R = 0.583; R² = 0.340; adjusted R² = 0.320; F(2, 69) = 17.737; p < 0.001). The overall model demonstrated a substantial effect size (Cohen’s f² = 0.515) and statistical power exceeding 0.99. The findings indicate that transformational principal leadership and teacher performance are complementary predictors of educational quality. Because the design was cross-sectional and correlational, the results should be interpreted as predictive associations rather than definitive causal relationships.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) combined with Musi Board media on fourth-grade students’ mathematics achievement. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group. The sample consisted of two groups: an experimental group taught using the CTL model with Musi Board media and a control group taught using conventional methods with Musi Board media. Data were collected through a mathematics achievement test administered as a pre-test and post-test. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including normality, homogeneity, and an independent samples t-test. The results showed that students in the experimental group demonstrated a significant improvement in learning outcomes, with the mean score increasing from 49.8 (pre-test) to 72.5 (post-test), compared to the control group, which improved from 49.5 to 65. The t-test analysis indicated a significant difference between the two groups (p < 0.05), confirming the effectiveness of the CTL model. The findings suggest that integrating contextual learning with instructional media enhances students’ engagement, conceptual understanding, and overall mathematics achievement. Therefore, CTL combined with Musi Board media can be considered an effective instructional strategy in elementary mathematics education.

Abstract

From the results of the research, it was found that many factors affect the professional competence of a teacher. Two of the most dominant factors influencing professional competence are "work habits and discipline." This study aims to examine the influence of these two variables on the professional competence of teaching teachers after participating in PPG DALJAB. Data-based correlational method obtained from the distribution of questionnaires and observations. Data was collected from the population of secondary school teachers in South Sumatra which amounted to 29,950, while a random sample was taken from 150 teachers who had completed the PPG DALJAB. The results of the study succeeded in proving that the work habits and discipline of secondary school teachers after participating in PPG DALJAB had a positive and significant effect on teaching professional competence, both partially and simultaneously. However, there was no significant difference in the professional competence of teaching teachers after attending PPG DALJAB with the previous one.
