Abstract

Dynastic politics is a phenomenon where political power is inherited within a single family, often resulting in a concentration of power and a disregard for democratic principles, leading to inequality in the distribution of power. This article discusses the influence of a political system dominated by dynasties in the context of modern governance, particularly its impact on public policy and the limitations of social mobility. In the history of Indonesian governance, dynastic politics has occurred in a hereditary manner, with dynastic political strategies being used as tools to secure power by placing family members or relatives in both formal (government) and informal (projects or businesses) positions. As a result, dynastic politics will continue to evolve, generating both support and opposition amid the implementation of a democracy-based government. There is a discussion of hadith regarding the prohibition of granting positions or providing references based on familial relationships, which contradicts the principles of justice and meritocracy. Therefore, this article explores potential solutions that may support policies of transparency, accountability, and equal opportunities for all individuals, aiming to provide an understanding of the impact of dynastic politics and the importance of an inclusive and fair political system.

Abstract

A hypothesis telling that students' mathematics logical ability differences are caused by memorizing the Qur'an, is the focus of this research. The researcher in this research analyzes whether there is correlation between logical-mathematical ability and memorization the Qur'an and the overview. Quantitative and qualitative analysis is used to reveal the correlation between logical-mathematics intelligence and the Qur'an memorization. Logical-Mathematical Intelligence test, Qur'an memorization test, interview, and observation are used as instruments in the research. Twenty-eight students in the mathematics study program are as the subject of research where all students have already joined logical-mathematical subject. Based on the results obtained, overall, logical-mathematical intelligence and Qur'an memorization have a positive linear correlation. The more the students memorize the Qur’an the more the students have logical-mathematical intelligence. It is illustrated in the results, there are 6 different types of numerical indicators when viewed from the level of quantity and quality of memorizing the Qur'an. The same number is also reflected in abstract indicators and spatial relations. Each of them shows 6 different types of logical-mathematical intelligence when viewed from the level of quantity and quality of the Qur'an memorization. The research result also shows the benefits of memorizing the Qur'an which provides positive changes on students learning patterns. The development of the Qur'an memorization method is expected to be able to improve students' Qur'an memorization having an impact on students, intelligence especially logical-mathematical intelligence. Abstract

This study examines how moderate hermeneutics is integrated and enacted within Qur’anic exegesis (tafsir) courses and how these pedagogical choices relate to students’ dispositions toward religious moderation in an Indonesian Islamic higher-education setting. Using a qualitative descriptive design, we analyzed course documents (11 syllabi/RPS), conducted classroom observations (n=12 sessions), and interviewed lecturers (n=6) and students (n=24) purposively sampled across cohorts. Data were thematically coded with analyst triangulation and member checking. Three integration pathways were identified: (1) canon selection privileging Indonesian and maqāṣid-oriented tafsir (e.g., al-Misbah, al-Azhar), (2) dialogic routines that normalize interpretive plurality and disagreement, and (3) assessment shifts from recall to reflective and context-applied tasks. Students reported increased comfort with difference and heightened sensitivity to justice- and mercy-oriented Qur’anic values; however, attitudinal change varied with prior schooling and organizational affiliations. The study contributes an actionable model linking hermeneutical stance to pedagogical routines and affective outcomes in interpretive education. Findings suggest that explicitly framing wasat}iyyah within textual analysis, coupled with dialogic pedagogy, is associated with stronger moderation dispositions, underscoring the need for systematic outcome measures and longitudinal follow-up.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the high proportion of uncertified waqf land in Seberang Musi District, Kepahiang Regency, reaching 95 percent (31.19 hectares out of 44 locations), a condition that creates legal vulnerability for religious assets and risks inheritance disputes within wakif (waqf donor) families. This article analyzes the role of the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) of Seberang Musi District in the legalization of waqf land certificates, identifies the procedures and constraints involved, and examines the implications of certificate legality for the legal resilience of wakif families and community welfare through the perspective of hifzh al-mal within maqashid asy-shari'ah. The study employed a descriptive qualitative field (juridical-empirical) method, with primary data drawn from in-depth interviews with the Head of KUA as PPAIW, Islamic religious extension officers, nazhir, wakif, community leaders, and village officials, analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, with data trustworthiness maintained through source and technique triangulation. The findings show that KUA's role is multidimensional, functioning as PPAIW, educator, facilitator, and mediator; that the legalization procedure runs normatively but is hindered by a critical bottleneck in village-level land administration; and that certificate legality yields layered implications at the individual, communal, and economic levels which, read through hifzh al-mal, indicate achievement in the protective (difa'i) dimension while still requiring strengthening in the productive-development (tanmiyah) dimension of waqf

Abstract

Learning interest is widely recognized as a crucial factor influencing elementary school students' achievement in Mathematics, as low levels of interest may limit students' engagement during learning activities and ultimately affect their academic performance. Therefore, understanding the factors that influence students' interest in learning Mathematics and its contribution to learning outcomes is essential. This study aims to analyze the factors affecting students' interest in learning Mathematics and to examine its relationship with Mathematics achievement among elementary school students. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the PRISMA framework, encompassing the stages of identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and synthesis of relevant studies. Articles were collected from Google Scholar, Garuda, ERIC, and ScienceDirect using keywords associated with the topic, and selected according to predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings indicate that students' interest in learning Mathematics is shaped by both internal and external factors. Internal factors include learning motivation, self-efficacy, prior knowledge, attitudes toward Mathematics, and psychological conditions, whereas external factors comprise teachers' instructional practices, learning media, teaching models, family support, and the school environment. Furthermore, the review demonstrates that learning interest has a positive and significant relationship with students' Mathematics achievement, suggesting that students with stronger learning interest tend to attain higher academic performance. These findings provide valuable insights for teachers and educational practitioners in designing instructional strategies that can enhance students' interest and improve Mathematics learning outcomes at the elementary school level.
