Pengaruh Media Cetak dan Audio Visual Terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Teks Berita pada Siswa MTs Bergaya Kognitif Field Dependent dan Field Independent Khabib Sholeh; Edi Sunjayanto; Bagiya Bagiya; Frida Nur Aini; Main Sufanti

Hasil pembelajaran menulis berita siswa kelas VIII MTs Muhammadiyah Batur, Banjar Negara sangat rendah. Dari 53 siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar hanya 21,88% (12 siswa) dengan nilai rata-rata 70,83. Untuk itu, perlu dicarikan solusi berdasarkan kondisi dan teori yang ada dengan mengubah pendekatan pembelajaran dan penggunaan media yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsi pengaruh penggunaan media cetak dan audio visual terhadap kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VIII. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis eksperimen. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh media cetak terhadap kemampuan menulis teks berita dengan t hitung -4.916 dan sig .000 dengan taraf signifikan 5%, sehingga 0,000 < 0,05 maka data berpengaruh signifikan; terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media audio visual terhadap kemampuan menulis teks berita dengan hasil t hitung -10,495 dan sig .000 (2-tailed) dengan taraf signifikansi 5%, terdapat perbedaan pengaruh media cetakan dan audio visual terhadap kemampuan menulis teks berita dengan hasil penghitungan bahwa hasil kemampuan menulis teks berita dilihat berdasarkan nilai postes pada siswa dengan media cetak rata-rata sebesar 74,51, sedangkan nilai rata-rata siswa dengan media audio visual sebesar 79,92, media audio visual lebih besar pengaruhnya dibandingkan dengan media cetak; dan terdapat perbedaan gaya kognitif yang mempengaruhi kemampuan menulis teks berita pada siswa kelas VIII MTs Muhammadiyah Batur, Banjarnegara. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat berdasarkan total nilai yang diperoleh siswa FD memiliki total rata-rata 78,57 (kelas audio visual), sedangkan rata-rata siswa FI sebesar 77,90 (kelas media cetak)

Ada aspek yang ditemukan di dunia penerjemahan; aspek budaya, cara berpikir, kebiasaan dan lain-lain. Menarik jika dididkusikan bukan hanya di masa lalu namun juga yang akan datang karena itu menjadi ilmu yang berkembang di masa depan nanti. Penelitian ini berfokus tentang analisis klausa dengan modal diikuti perfect infinitive yang akan dilihat secara sintaktis dan semantis. Data diambil dari novel karya Shidney Sheldon The Other Night of Midnight dan terjemahannya dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Penulis harus menemukan jenis kalimat tersebut dan terjemahkannya. Setelah itu dibandingkan dengan melihat sudut pandang tertentu. Penulis menggunakan acuan buku yang ditulis oleh para ahli bahasa; Alwasilah, Sylvia Chalker dan Marcella Frank. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif komparatif. Peneliti fokus pada kalimat atau klausa yang menggunakan modal diikuti oleh perfect infinitive. Lalu data yang ditemukan dikatagorikan berdasarkan fungsinya dan dianalisis. Hasilnya akan muncul sebuah pergeseran secara sintaksis ataupun semantis. Itu tidak bisa dihindarkan karena masing-masing bahasa; bahasa sumber dan bahasa sasaran mempunyai tatabahasa sendiri. Namun begitu penerjemah harus pintar-pintar memberikan pesan dari bahasa sumber tanpa mengurangi makna.

In this period of AEC, some countries in Asia have to compete each other in many aspects such as; economy, education, professionalism and so on. Indonesia should be ready to participate in. The educationhas to create qualified student, actually in character building because self-character of student is still degraded. The big question of it is how, what and when? Here, I will answer the problem; what is able to increase self-character of student and when is it done? The answer is we can use media creative and we can apply it from earlier student that is elementary school. Comic appears student’s imagination where optimize the right brain by visualization (text, picture and color). In addition, I use electronic comic and combine with Traditional Javanese story based on wayang.The research is to find the new perspective of creative media and student’s imagination by basic research, or to answer other questions practically by applied research. It is to show the effectiveness, student’s response and evaluation of the developed creative comic.

Virtual education is a growing and evolving system that creates new opportunities for forming and upgrading people’s skills with a non-presential factor, which allows students from different regions and backgrounds to gain instant access to quality education and knowledge. In recent years, many online platforms have been joining to these new systems allowing to create a virtual environment, even professional institutions, such as colleges and universities, are offering their entire specialty in different online programs. Although, online education has evolved and improved since its apparition after the internet commercialization, many problems still remain unsolved and challenging its effectiveness; self-motivations and virtual drop-out are one of the common factor among virtual learners, besides the lack of required technology and resources in different places, especially in developing countries. Even there are problems, virtual education is changing the way how we consume educational content and it is helping to connect students and teachers all over the world in again-to-gain way, so in the coming years, its role is expected to be more critical in our education system.

Data is a driving factor in our current society, its presence is in each simple and complex system holding important insights and clues that can lead to a better performance; although its importance people usually tend to ignore its potential of discovering and organizing unusual and interesting patterns and connections within. The “Big data” era provides us with a stable and huge ground to support modern business and analytics models, which may impact directly the way how we perceive present actions and spotting possible future tendencies, improving and enhancing current decision models. This paper tries to highlight some of the various uses and strategies that several organizations are given to their databases and their data structures, and describing some of the most salient and widespread achievements made by the correct use and manipulation of a data warehouse; moreover, a revision to some syllabus of major universities and colleges were analyzed to detect tendencies on the way how professional are being formed regarding to managing data and its corresponding analysis

This research attempts to analyze whether or not there is a positive and significant correlation between students’ habit in watching Western-movie and listening skill. The population of this research is the sixth semester students of English Language Education of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo, with the total number of sample 31 students. This research uses quantitative correlation design. The instruments used are questionnaire and listening test. Based on the computation manually and using SPSS 25.0, the coefficient correlation score is 0.845, and after being compared with r table with degree of significance 5% (0.355), it can be inferred that is higher than () that is 0.845 > 0.355. Based on the interpretation table proposed by Sugiyono, that score belongs to the very high correlation.

This research is revieweing the school management based on islamic education. It aims to obtain an overview of the implementation of Islamic boarding school education and a model for the development of education management at the Darul Hikmah Kutoarjo Islamic boarding school. This research problem will focus on how to plan, organize, coordinate, and control Islamic boarding schools. To answer the research problem, this type of qualitative research is used with a descriptive-analysis approach. The results of this study indicate that: a) The Darul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School Education Model is a pesantren education under the auspices of the Darul Hikmah Kutoarjo Foundation. The education pattern of Darul Hikmah Islamic boarding school isa boarding-based modern Islamic boarding school education pattern. In developing the management of the Darul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School, it uses the Target Based Management (MBS) or Management by Objective (MBO) model. The target to be achieved is to focus on education; c) To achieve this education, the management steps taken are: a) Planning. The planning model developed by the Darul Hikmah IslamicBoarding School is a strategic planning model consisting of planning, programming, and budgeting systems; b) Organizing. Organizing is carried out under a decentralized system in the division of powers and tasks and their development; 3) Coordination. Coordination is carried out in an effort to unify a series of activities in the organization of pesantren in order to increase cooperation and togetherness among organizational officials as much as possible; 4) Supervision. Supervision includes monitoring, supervision, evaluation, reporting, and follow-up of assessment results.

This research belongs to qualitative research. The objectives of this research are to explain E-learning usage and to determine of the students’ responses E-learning Usage in English Language Education of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo. The unit of analysis of this research is E-learning usage at the students of English Language Education. The subject of this research were the English education students of batch 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo. There are 43 students which are volunteering in answering the questionnaire. The result of the analysis shows that E-learning is easy to use (51,1%), E-learning perceives usefulness (37,2%), E-learning makes their communication and interaction easier and comfortable (48%), and students feel satisfy with E-learning (37,4%). That mean the result of the questionnaire most of them feeling easy and comfortable using E-learning method and the result of this research shows that E-learning is useful and helpful for the students and they felt satisfied with E-learning.

This Guidance and counseling action research is motivated by the low average value of the student report cards of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kesesi, Kabupaten Pekalongan, Indonesia. This study aims to improve the achievement of learning outcomes through the classical service of recognizing learning style using the Jigsaw Cooperative method which was carried out in two cycles, each cycle carried out in two meetings. This research was conducted from August to September 2019, located in class VIII H odd semester of SMP Negeri 1 Kesesi, Kabupaten Pekalongan, Indonesia for the 2019/2020 school year. The type of research is Guidance and Counseling action research with two cycles consisting of two meetings in one cycle, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Based on the results of the study, the application of the Jigsaw Cooperative learning model in the classical service of Recognize Your Learning Style material can improve learning outcomes for subjects in class VIII H odd semester of SMP Negeri 1 Kesesi, Kabupaten Pekalongan, Indonesia for the 2019/2020 school year. It can be seen from the initial condition to the final condition that there is an increase in average learning outcomes. In the initial conditions, it only showed an average result of 68.67. In the first cycle it rose to 77.75, and in the second cycle it rose to 84.69. This shows an increase from the initial condition to the first cycle of 9.08 points, while from the initial condition to the second cycle there is an increase of 16.02 points. The results showed that the Jigsaw Cooperative learning model could create a fun and effective learning atmosphere so that student learning outcomes increased from the results of the first cycle to the second cycle. In the first cycle the number of students who got a complete score in learning was only 10 students, while there were 23 students who did not complete. In the second cycle, there was an increase in the score, which was 33 students who were complete in learning. It was concluded that the Jigsaw Cooperative method could improve the ability to identify students' learning styles.

Grammar is an important language component to enhance students’ language proficiency. However, many students still make grammatical errors in writing their essays. This research aims at analyzing types of grammatical errors found in students’ essays. The type of this research is a descriptive case study. The subjects of the study were 20 third-semester students of Purworejo Muhammadiyah University, Indonesia. The researchers used a test to collect the data. The results of tests were analyzed descriptively by using Keshavarz’s theory. The analysis result shows that the percentage for each error type is 34.06% (omission), 7.25% (addition), 57.97% (substitution), and 0.72% (permutation). Based on the research result, the researchers conclude that the most dominant error is substitution. The percentage of error can prove it, that is, 57.97%. There are some implications of error analysis in English language teaching in universities in Indonesia. The lecturer can give enrichment, understand students’ grammar competence, give corrective feedback to students’ errors, modify target language learning items in classrooms and textbooks, understand the way students apply the target language rules, and use the effective teaching method or learning media.
