Abstract

The growth and changes in agricultural land over the last few decades have created their own dynamics. Every year there is a transformation of agricultural land in Indonesia. Special focus on West Java, the area of critical land is increasing, especially in the districts of Bandung, Cianjur and Garut. The aim of this research is to investigate and analyze the composition of land holdings by vegetable farmers in West Java. This research uses secondary and primary data from a survey with respondents being 500 potato farmers in West Java. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics using tables, cross-tabulation, diagrams and various graphs as data presentation tools. The results of data analysis in 2023 show that there changes on the structure of farmer land ownership. Although the majority (55.8%) of farmers still have a land area of less than 1 hectare, this has decreased by 7.8% compared to 2017. In particular, the decrease in agricultural land with an area of less than 0.5 hectares (3, 8%) is very high. On the other hand, there was an increase of 5% in farmer groups with land areas of 1 to 2 hectares. The concentration of land ownership in a small number of farmers (15%) who have land areas of more than 2 hectares, shows that there are large differences in land ownership. Although there has been an increase in land rentals, there is inequality in the area of land rentals. Keywords: Vegetable Farmers, Land Tenure, Descriptive Statistics INTISARIPertumbuhan dan perubahan lahan pertanian selama beberapa dekade terakhir menciptakan dinamika tersendiri. Setiap tahunnya terjadi transfornasi lahan pertanian di Indonesia.  Fokus khusus pada Jawa Barat, luas lahan kritis semakin meningkat, terutama di kabupaten Bandung, Cianjur, dan Garut.  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki dan menganalisis komposisi luas penguasaan lahan oleh petani sayuran di Jawa Barat.  Penelitian Ini menggunakan data Sekunder dan Primer dari Survey dengan responden adalah 500 petani kentang di Jawa barat , data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan Statistika deskriptif dengan alat tabel, cross-tabulasi, diagram dan bermacam grafik sebagai alat presentasi data Hasil analisis data tahun 2023 menunjukkan terjadi perubahan signifikan pada struktur kepemilikan lahan  petani. Meski sebagian besar (55,8%) petani masih memiliki luas lahan kurang dari 1 hektar, namun hal ini mengalami penurunan sebesar 7,8% dibandingkan  tahun 2017. Secara khusus, penurunan lahan pertanian dengan luas kurang dari 0,5 hektar (3,8%) sangat tinggi. Sebaliknya, terjadi peningkatan sebesar 5% pada kelompok tani dengan luas lahan 1 hingga 2 hektar. Konsentrasi kepemilikan lahan yang terdapat pada sejumlah kecil petani (15%) yang memiliki luas lahan lebih dari 2 hektar, menunjukkan adanya perbedaan kepemilikan lahan yang besar. Meskipun ada peningkatan dalam penyewaan lahan, terdapat ketidaksetaraan dalam luas lahan sewa. Kata Kunci : Petani Sayuran, Penguasaan Lahan, Statistika Deskriptif

Abstract

Kopi merupakan salah satu komoditas pertanian yang memiliki peran penting dalam ekonomi Indonesia dan menjadi komoditas ekspor utama ke beberapa negara, termasuk Uni Emirat Arab. Pasar kopi ini menunjukkan pertumbuhan yang signifikan dan menjanjikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi karakteristik petani dan usahatani komoditas pertanian kopi di Indonesia. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menganalisis keunggulan komparatif dan keunggulan kompetitif dari usahatani kopi tersebut di pasar internasional Uni Emirat Arab. Dalam analisis menggunakan model Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM), ditemukan nilai keunggulan kompetitif atau PCR sebesar 0,030 dan keunggulan komparatif atau DRCR sebesar 0,017. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kopi yang diproduksi di Desa Girimekar memiliki daya saing di pasar internasional Uni Emirat Arab.

Abstract

Honey is a natural sweet substance or comes from nectar and is produced by honey bees which has many health benefits. Indonesia has natural wealth and great potential for beekeeping because there are 6 out of 7 species of bees in the world so that the prospects for honey beekeeping are very profitable. Data from the Central Statistics Agency shows that honey production in Indonesia has increased from 51,338 liters in 2020 to 189,780 liters in 2021. High honey production is driven by the high demand for honey in Indonesia due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Ibun honey company is one of the companies that offers genuine raw honey products, which can be seen from the marketing strategy of Ibun honey products, which cannot be separated from competition with other honey products. The aims of this study are: 1) To find out the performance of the agribusiness company Madu Ibun in Tangerang City; 2) Knowing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the Ibun Honey Company; 3) Formulate a marketing strategy for the Honey Ibun Company in Tangerang City. The research design used is qualitative research with a case study research design. The techniques and data analysis that were selected and used were descriptive analysis and SWOT matrix analysis and QSPM through interview sheets and questionnaires. The performance of the Madu Ibun company's agribusiness business includes the production process of beekeeping, honey harvesting, filtering and packaging as well as product marketing to consumers. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis matrix for the honey ibun company, the results of the marketing strategy for honey ibun are in quadrant I, namely the Strengths opportunities (S-O) strategy or an aggressive strategy as indicated by alternative strategies.

Abstract

Potatoes are the world's fourth largest staple food after wheat, rice, and maize. In Indonesia, potato farming holds great potential, especially in highland areas like Pangalengan, West Java. However, despite the increasing demand for potatoes, production remains insufficient. The high production costs have led many potato farmers in Margamulya Village, Pangalengan Subdistrict, to switch to other commodities. This research aims to identify the farmers who continue to grow potatoes and examine their farming systems. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, as defined by W. Creswell (2020), focusing on understanding individuals or groups' perspectives on social or human issues. The remaining potato farmers in Margamulya Village are considered to be in their productive age, possessing physical strength and openness to innovation. Most of them have received a high level of education, with many holding bachelor's degrees. These enduring potato farmers have inherited the tradition of potato cultivation and boast strong networks and substantial capital. Their motivation to grow potatoes is high, often described as being "passionate" about potato farming. While their cultivation techniques align with guidelines, they do not strictly adhere to good agricultural practices.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Lengkong Village, Cipeundeuy District, Subang Regency, West Java Province, from February to April 2024 with the aim of analyzing the social and economic impact of rubber plantations on the surrounding community. The sampling method used was purposive sampling, namely selecting 10-15% of the available sample population. A total of 15 tapping workers were selected as samples, which is 10% of the total 150 tapping workers in Lengkong Village. Meanwhile, 15 households around the rubber plantation were also taken as samples, in line with the number of tapping workers sampled. The main data analysis was carried out using a qualitative approach, where the results of interviews and observations were recorded in detail in field notes, which were then analyzed descriptively. The research results show that there is a socio-economic impact from the presence of rubber plantations for the surrounding community, both tapping workers and non-tapping workers. This impact can be seen through increasing welfare through the various facilities provided. These facilities include housing, health services, education, places of worship, sports facilities, employment opportunities and sources of income. All facilities provided by the company are intended for the general benefit of the surrounding community, marking mutually beneficial cooperation between the rubber plantation company and the surrounding community.

Abstract

Honey has become a widely found product with a variety of brands, and an attractive packaging design is one way to distinguish a product from its competitors. However, there are still many honey producers who have not optimized the use of packaging as a tool for marketing products, one of them is UMKM Honey Bees Asy-syifa Babussalam. The study aims (1) to analyze the impact of visibility, information, emotional appeal, and workability of Babussalam Asyfa Honey packaging on consumer purchasing interests, and (2) to analyse the influence of Visibility, Information, Emotional Appeal and Workability on the simultaneously buying interest of consumers. The research uses quantitative research methods with double regression analysis taken through surveys and interviews. The sample in this study amounted to 125 respondents who were drawn through purposive sampling because of the large number of populations with the criterion of consumption of pure honey. The results of this study show that visibility, emotional appeal, and workability have a significant influence on purchasing interests, while information and non-information have significant influences on buying interests.

Abstract

Tea (Camellia sinensis) is a commodity that is the mainstay of the plantation subsector. One of the tea brands managed by PT Perkebunan Nusantara I Regional 2 is Walini Tea. Walini Tea is a tea that has advantages over other brands, such as high quality tea, processed by itself, and has many flavors. In its marketing activities, Teh Walini utilizes digital marketing, especially through social media to introduce its products by expanding its market reach. The purpose of this research is to find out the characteristics of Teh Walini consumers and analyze how digital marketing (X) affects brand image (Y1) and brand awareness (Y2). Quantitative research with an online survey method to 200 consumers of Teh Walini who use social media is the approach in this research. In analyzing primary data, the method used in this research is SEM-PLS utilizing SmartPLS 4 software. The results obtained are the effect of digital marketing on brand image and brand awareness is positive and significant.

Abstract

The development of organic rice production in Indonesia is due to the changing lifestyle of Indonesian people, who are starting to pay attention to the importance of health and the environment. In 2017, the Minister of Agriculture issued MOA No. 48/Permentan/PP.130/12/2017, which aims to guarantee the rights of consumers of special rice, but the implementation of this regulation has caused the Sarinah Organic Farmers Association to lose one of its cooperation partners. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of organic rice farmers and their income before and after the implementation of the MOA. This study used a quantitative research design with paired t-test analysis. The sample size was 34 people. The results showed the average income of Sarinah Organic Gapotakan rice farmers before the implementation of the MOA was Rp. 12,058,296, while after the implementation of the MOA the income of organic rice farmers was Rp. 11,463,804. Based on the results of the paired sample t-test analysis, there is a significant difference in income before and after the implementation of MOA No. 48/Permentan/PP.130/12/2017.

Abstract

Since the function of packaging has developed into a medium of marketing communication with visual appeal, every producers must pay attention to their product packaging. It is necessary because a product packaging can be “the silent salesman” that able to introduce, persuade, and attract consumers to buy its product. This research aims to determine the influence product packaging design on consumer purchase intention of Le_Cinnamon, which an agribusiness innovation product that produce in Bandung, West Java. Descriptive quantitative methods with multiple linear regression analysis were used in this study to analyze product packaging design Le_Cinnamon from its three constituent elements, such as graphic design, design structure, and product information to see its influence on consumer purchase intention. Questionnaire data was obtained from 131 respondents used in this study, where the research sample was determined by stratified random sampling. From this study, results were obtained that showed three elements of packaging design on Le_Cinnamon products, such as graphic design, design structure, and product information had a significant effect with a percentage of 68.7% on consumer purchase intention.

Abstract

The number of social media users is increasing, including TikTok social media. TikTok is used as a marketing communication medium by businesspeople, namely Ciburial Honeybee Farming Agrotourism, who previously used Instagram but did not attract consumer interest. This research was conducted to determine how effective the video content of social media TikTok Agrotourism Ciburial Honeybee Livestock advertising is if analyzed using the empathy and persuasion dimension. The research design uses a descriptive quantitative method with survey and interview techniques. A sample size of 100 was drawn using a purposive sampling technique because the population was huge, with the criteria being active users of TikTok social media and watching advertising videos for Ciburial Honeybee Farming Agrotourism. This research uses dimensions derived from the EPIC Model, namely empathy and persuasion. This research proves that the Ciburial Honeybee Farming Agrotourism advertisement, seen from the empathy and persuasion dimension is considered effective, with an empathy score of 3.99 and persuasion 4.18. There is evaluation recommendation so that advertising effectiveness increases from practical to very effective, namely improving the quality of advertising content.
