Abstract

Abstract This study discusses how the results of the analysis of teaching materials using the ACTFL (America Counsil On The Teaching Of Foreign Languages) guidelines where language skills are divided into levels of distingueshed, superior, advanced, intermediate and novice. The researcher used the entrance of the palm and its type of library study and the researcher analyzed the book of teaching Arabic language on the curriculum KMA 183 for the seventh grade of Middle School and the results of the research were the teaching materials in this book given the ACTFL is divided into the ability to read skill at the low intermediate level and writing skill at the low novice level and listening skill at the low novice level and speech skill at the low novice level.Keywords: Education Materials, Language Skills, ACTFL Guidelinesملخصتناقش هذه الدراسة كيف نتائج التحليل مواد التعليم باستخدام إرشادات ACTFL (America Counsil On The Teaching Of Foreign Languages) حيث تنقسم المهارات اللغوية إلى مستويات و هي المميز و المتقن و المقدم و المتوسط و المبتدئ. استخدم الباحث مدخل الكفي و نوعه دراسة المكتبة و قيام الباحث بتحليل كتاب تعليم اللغة العربية على منهاج KMA 183 للصف السابع المدرسة الثانوية  و نتائج البحث كانت المواد التعليم في هذا الكتاب بالنظر إلى  ACTFLينقسم إلى قدرة على مهارة القراءة في مستوى المتوسط الأساسي و مهارة الكتابة في مستوى المبتدئ الأساسي و مهارة الاستماع في مستوى المبتدئ الأساسي و مهارة الكلام في مستوى المبتدئ الأساسي.الكلمات  الرئيسية : مواد التعليم ، مهارات اللغوية ، إرشادات ACTFLAbstrakPenelitian ini membahas bagaimana hasil analisis bahan ajar menggunakan pedoman ACTFL (America Counsil On The Teaching Of Foreign Languages) dimana kemampuan berbahasa dibagi menjadi tingkatan istimewa, unggul,  mahir, madya dan pemula. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the suitability of Arabic teaching materials based on Rusydhi Ahmad Thu'aimah’s perspective, focusing on four key aspects: content, material organization, presentation, and appearance. Employing a non-interactive qualitative approach, this research relies on document analysis. Data were collected through content analysis procedures, including data gathering, conclusion drawing, and verification. The primary data source is the Arabic language textbook for Grade X used in the 2017 ISMUBA curriculum. The findings reveal that, in terms of content, the material aligns with learning objectives, follows a systematic structure, and integrates the four basic language skills. Regarding organization, the book comprises six chapters and thirty subchapters that cover daily themes, supported by illustrations, vocabulary lists, grammar explanations, and practice exercises that enhance comprehension and language application. In terms of presentation, the textbook features an appealing cover design, a readable layout, and contextual illustrations that facilitate effective learning. Overall, the textbook demonstrates high quality in content, organization, presentation, and visual design, making it a suitable resource for Arabic language instruction at the high school level, in line with Thu’aimah’s criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the suitability of Arabic teaching materials according to Rusydi Ahmad Thu'aimah's perspective in terms of content or content, organization of material, presentation of material and appearance. in terms of content or content, organization of material, presentation of material and appearance of the book. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The data source used is the Balaghah Arabic Language Book for Grade 12 MAPK Directorate KSKK 2020. Data collection using documents, data analysis techniques using content analysis. The results showed that based on the perspective of Rusydi Ahmad Thu'aimah with the criteria for teaching materials in terms of content or content is in general accordance content is generally appropriate. In terms of organizing the material as a whole is coherent and mutually sustainable. In terms of presenting the material, it pays attention to aspects of language, learning models, and according to standard references. From In terms of the appearance of the book, most of it is appropriate and also follows the printing guidelines of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. However, in the pictures and illustrations section There are images that are not related to the themes discussed. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the book is in accordance with the perspective of Rusydi Ahmad Thu'aimah although there are still things that must be improved such as the presentation of images and illustrations

Abstract

This study aims to conduct an in-depth review of the Buku Siswa Bahasa Arab Kelas XI Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Kurikulum 2013 Edisi 2015, focusing on four main aspects: content, material organization, instructional presentation, and layout design. The book is designed to support the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum, which is oriented towards a scientific approach and the development of students' character. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive, with content analysis techniques that allow the researcher to identify the strengths and weaknesses from both pedagogical and visual perspectives. The analysis results indicate that although this book adheres to the standard basic competencies set out in the curriculum, several significant weaknesses exist. In terms of content, some material is considered less relevant to the socio-cultural context of Indonesian students. Regarding organization, the sequence and continuity between chapters are not fully logical or progressive. The presentation of the material also tends to be less interactive and one-directional, with limited variation in media or methods of delivery. From a visual and design perspective, the book does not have an optimized reading comfort, such as font selection, the layout of images and texts, and the quality of illustrations. This affects students' reading interest and comprehension. Therefore, updates and more contextual and communicative developments are necessary to make the book more suitable for the characteristics of current MA students and the demands of the competency-based curriculum. This study concludes that, although the book has met some of the basic elements of the curriculum, a comprehensive revision is needed, particularly in strengthening the relevance of the content, the connection between topics, variation in presentation methods, and improvements in visual design. These updates are crucial to ensure that the book serves as a teaching tool and encourages students' active participation, understanding, and engagement in the Arabic learning process in a holistic and meaningful way.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the content of the 10th grade Nahwu Sharaf book published by KSKK Kemenag in 2020 with the analysis of Rusydi Ahmad Thu'aimah as an Arabic language learning expert. Nahwu sharaf is Arabic grammar lessons which include morphology and syntax. Content analysis includes 4 aspects, namely analysis of book content, material preparation, material presentation, and book output display. The research method used is Krippendorff's content analysis method with a qualitative approach. The research step consists of unitizing, the researcher determines the unit of analysis in the form of phrases, namely book analysis and the perspective of Rusydi Ahmad Thu'aimah. The next step is sampling, namely the entire contents of the book. Third is coding, called coding because in this process researchers group data based on research categories including book content, material structuring, material presentation, and output in the form of printed books. Fourth is reducing by selecting data to find important data only. Next is inferring, which is drawing conclusions by connecting the data findings. The last is narrating or compiling a research report. Findings reveal that the textbook aligns well with the curriculum and employs an inductive approach which makes it easier to deepen the grammar material, but it has weaknesses such limited illustrative visuals and gradation of materials. The study concludes that This textbook has good quality in presenting the material but needs to improve several supporting aspects as mentioned. This research can contribute to improving the quality of textbooks in the future.

Abstract

This study analyzes the Arabic Language (Nahwu & Sharaf) textbook for Class XI of the Madrasah Aliyah religious specialization program. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through document analysis and evaluated against curriculum standards. Findings reveal that the textbook is systematically structured with interrelated chapters, supporting continuous learning. Strengths include an inductive approach, relevance to the curriculum, and integration of socio-cultural values. However, weaknesses such as inconsistent use of harakat, limited illustrative visuals, and less varied material delivery hinder its effectiveness. The study concludes that while the textbook is effective, improvements in presentation, material consistency, and adaptability to diverse student characteristics are needed to enhance motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

In this study, we discussed the results of the analysis of the Arabic language textbook for the Ministry of Religious Affairs seventh grade in 2020 according to the theory of preparing educational materials for Rushdi Ahmed Tuaima—the basic. The researcher used analytical research, a qualitative approach, type of document or textual study (document study). They examined the results of this analysis that the number of its pages is 144 pages on average, each lesson contains 22 pages, this book has six errors in the formation of letters and the typographical errors in this book are two, and the number of lessons in the book for teaching the Arabic language for the seventh grade is less than The number of classes expected to be taught. The language level in this textbook is the beginner level, and the proposed duration of the book is sufficient to teach the book in one year. We found that the teacher in some language skills still plays a decisive role in the learning process, so communication channels must be diversified to enhance the learning and teaching experience. This textbook included various linguistic situations from vocabulary, texts, dialogue, composition, and listening. Also, various activities can help students improve their language skills and prepare them to deal effectively with Arabic in daily life.

Abstract

Arabic teaching in Indonesia started when Islam was introduced to this country in the 7th-8th Century. At that time Arabic was given merely for religious teachings and to teach student to read the HoIy Qur'an, say prayers, and read and understand religious books also known as "the yellow books". Those kinds of teachings were conducted in mosques, Moslem home, and religious schools. During the long period in history, Arabic teaching promoted the Arabic language into an important position in the cultural expressions of various ethnic groups in Indonesia. Abstract

This study evaluates the quality of the Grade XII Arabic Language Textbook published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (2020) using the evaluative framework of Rusydi Ahmad Thuaimah. The research aims to determine the extent to which the textbook aligns with pedagogical and linguistic principles that integrate instructional and educational values. Employing a qualitative content analysis approach, data were collected through documentation and structured interviews with Arabic teachers. The analysis focused on four dimensions content, material organization, presentation, and book compilation. The results reveal that while the textbook adequately covers the four language skills, it remains unbalanced, with an emphasis on reading over writing activities. The material organization follows a spiral pattern, yet transitions between chapters lack cohesion. The presentation employs a communicative and contextual approach supported by visuals, although inconsistencies in image-text alignment and bilingual instructions persist. Technically, the book’s layout is well-structured, but it lacks clarity in defining its pedagogical orientation. Overall, the study concludes that the textbook partially fulfills Thuaimah’s criteria but requires revision to ensure better skill integration, thematic continuity, and multimodal coherence. The findings contribute to improving Arabic textbook development and offer theoretical insights into adapting Thuaimah’s evaluative model for the Indonesian educational context.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengukur tingkat kesesuaian Buku Bahasa Arab Kelas XII SMA/MA Kurikulum Merdeka (eNHa Press) terhadap kriteria penyusunan materi ajar Dr. Rusydi Ahmad Thu'aimah, yang diperkuat dengan pedoman Kurikulum Merdeka (KMA No. 450 Tahun 2024 dan TP/ATP Fase F). Analisis ini didasarkan pada hipotesis bahwa desain buku yang ringkas (4 Bab/tahun) berpotensi melanggar Asas Psikologi Thu'aimah dan menimbulkan linguistic overload. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif analitis dengan pendekatan Analisis Isi (Content Analysis). Instrumen didasarkan pada operasionalisasi empat asas Thu'aimah (Linguistik, Psikologi, Budaya, dan Pedagogis). Data primer adalah konten buku teks, didukung data sekunder berupa regulasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Hasil menunjukkan buku teks memiliki tingkat kesesuaian moderat. Kekuatan utama terdapat pada Asas Pedagogis melalui integrasi empat keterampilan (Mahārāt Lughawiyyah) dan penggunaan QR Code sebagai Muṣāḥabāt al-Kitāb modern. Namun, ditemukan dua kelemahan fundamental: Pertama, pelanggaran prinsip Gradasi Psikologis (at-tadarruj) karena struktur 4 Bab memaksa pemadatan materi tata bahasa kompleks (3 topik Qawā'id utama per unit), yang bertentangan dengan filosofi achievable competence Kurikulum Merdeka. Kedua, terdapat kelemahan krusial pada Asas Linguistik karena buku tidak menyajikan fokus eksplisit pada pelatihan Aṣwāt (Bunyi). Hal ini gagal memenuhi ekspektasi Capaian Pembelajaran Kurikulum Merdeka yang secara tegas mencantumkan penguasaan "fonem" dalam elemen Menyimak. Kesimpulan merekomendasikan perlunya dekonstruksi unit pembelajaran menjadi 8-10 bab per tahun untuk memperbaiki gradasi (at-tadarruj), serta penambahan perangkat pedagogis wajib seperti Buku Panduan Guru dan modul Aṣwāt eksplisit..
