Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of communication intensity on relationship satisfaction among couples in long-distance relationships. The sample consisted of 184 respondents aged 18 to 25 years at the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik. According to Santrock, the age range of 18-25 is considered early adulthood, which is marked by identity exploration, transition to independence, and the development of deeper interpersonal relationships. This study used a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression design. The results of the analysis showed a strong significant relationship between communication intensity and relationship satisfaction, with a significant correlation value of 0.896 (p < 0.01). Reliability testing showed good consistency, with Cronbach's Alpha of 0.870 for communication intensity and 0.878 for relationship satisfaction. ANOVA analysis showed significant differences between respondent groups (F = 18.0, p < 0.001). Hypothesis testing revealed that communication intensity had a significant effect on relationship satisfaction (F = 18.0, p < 0.001), with an R² value of 0.32, indicating that 32% of the variation in relationship satisfaction can be explained by communication intensity. This finding supports the interpersonal communication theory, which emphasizes the importance of effective communication in building healthy relationships. This study provides valuable insights for couples in long-distance relationships, confirming that increasing communication intensity can contribute positively to relationship satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of self-control on the intensity of TikTok usage among students at Muhammadiyah University of Gresik. The phenomenon of increasing daily TikTok consumption among students has raised concerns regarding its potential impact on academic performance and social behavior. Using a quantitative approach with a correlational research design, data were collected from a sample of 120 students through validated self-control and TikTok usage intensity scales. The results of the statistical analysis using simple linear regression showed a significant negative correlation between self-control and TikTok usage intensity (p < 0.05), indicating that students with higher levels of self-control tend to spend less time on TikTok. These findings suggest that self-control plays a crucial role in regulating students' digital behavior, especially in managing social media usage. The study recommends that educational institutions implement self-regulation training and digital literacy programs to foster healthier media consumption habits among students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of work motivation and performance on job satisfaction of honorary teachers at SMK X. The background of this study is the low level of job satisfaction experienced by honorary teachers due to external factors such as salary and facilities, as well as internal factors such as work motivation. This research employs a quantitative approach using survey methods. The research population includes all honorary teachers at SMK X, totaling 34 individuals, who were sampled using total sampling. The data instrument utilizes a Likert scale to measure the variables of motivation, performance, and job satisfaction. Validity is tested with product moment correlation, while reliability is examined through Alpha Cronbach. The data is analyzed using regression tests with the help of SPSS software, including stages of normality, linearity, multicollinearity, and heteroskedasticity testing. The findings of the study show that both work motivation and performance have a significant effect.
