Abstract

Muhammadiyah Ponorogo General Hospital is one of the private hospitals in Ponorogo Regency. At this time the Muhammadiyah Ponorogo General Hospital has received Plenary accreditation from the Indonesian Hospital Accreditation Institute (LARSI). The problem that is often faced by hospitals is that there is a lot of waste that occurs in the service process at the Eye Polyclinic of RSU Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. The most critical level of waste for eye polyclinic services is waiting with a weighting value of 4.00, waste inventory with a value of 3.16, waste overproduction with a weighting value of 3.00, waste defects with a weighting value of 2.91 , waste inappropriate processing with a weight value of 2.66, waste unnecessary motion with a weight value of 2.58, waste transportation with a weight value of 1.41, and waste underutilized abilities of people with a weight value of 2.25. The initial activity time before the repair was 14,677 seconds or 244 minutes (4 hours) and after the repair was reduced to 6,577 seconds or 109 minutes (1 hour 61 minutes). The highest waste is waiting, namely doctors often do not come on time and there is a lack of nurses or pharmacists in the pharmacy with a Risk Priority Number (RPN) score of 252 and 224. Recommendations for improvement that can be proposed are adding doctors to the eye poly department to reduce doctor delays because there are surgery schedules that often collide with the schedule for opening eye poly services and adding medical personnel to the pharmacy department, to reduce queues you can use a drug delivery application that can be accessed by patients without having to queue again at the hospital.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company engaged in the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) processing industry. In recent years, the company has faced significant fluctuations in production, deviating from its established targets. This issue has led to a decline in productivity over time. To address this, the study applies the Objective Matrix (OMAX) method to analyze key performance factors measuring LPG productivity from October 2023 to September 2024. The OMAX calculations reveal fluctuations, with the highest achievement recorded in August 2024 at 961.8 and the lowest in February 2024 at 173. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) was conducted to identify the primary causes of productivity decline, uncovering three critical factors: raw materials (Ratio 1), machine operating hours (Ratio 3), and idle machine hours (Ratio 4). These factors significantly contributed to reduced productivity due to unstable feed gas supply, high contamination levels affecting feed gas quality, machine downtime, and insufficient supervision and employee training. To enhance LPG productivity in the future, this study recommends several improvement strategies, including the development of gas exploration and extraction, strengthening raw material quality monitoring systems, implementing a more structured maintenance and repair plan, and providing intensive training programs for workers.

Abstract

A manufacturing company in Surabaya that produces various metal-based products is facing bottleneck issues, particularly in the production of steel doors and fire doors, due to an imbalance in machine capacity and cycle time. This problem has led to an accumulation of semi-finished goods and a decline in production efficiency. To address this issue, this study applies the Theory of Constraints (TOC) to redesign production planning through five key stages. Based on Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) calculations, bottlenecks were identified at the bending workstation (SK-2), assembly workstation (SK-3), and painting workstation (SK-5). To mitigate these constraints, an additional 7 hours of overtime was implemented at these three workstations from July to November 2024. This strategy successfully increased fire door production from 89 units with a throughput of Rp178,000,000 to 167 units with a throughput of Rp334,000,000, reflecting a growth of Rp156,000,000 (46.7%). These findings demonstrate that the proposed approach is effective in optimizing throughput and maximizing production capacity utilization.

Abstract

ABC Company is a manufacturing company that produces animal feed using raw materials stored in a warehouse. One type of raw material that is widely used for animal feed production needs is the premix type of raw material in warehouse 1. The large number of raw material needs makes warehouse activities increase. The large number of activities causes the warehouse to often experience wasteful activities with a lead time exceeding the company's standard of 420 minutes. This waste can reduce the effectiveness and efficiency of the warehousing flow process. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine what waste occurs in the warehouse using the lean warehousing method and to provide suggestions for improvements with Plan, Do, Check, Action and Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke. Analysis carried out using the lean warehousing method is important for the category of activities that add value, the category of activities that are needed, the category of activities that are not needed, and the time of warehousing flow can be known through value stream mapping both before and after improvement. From the analysis conducted, it was found that there were 52 warehouse flow activities with an activity time of 556 minutes, which after being given a proposal for improvement in the warehouse flow process activities decreased to 39 activities with a lead time of 304 minutes.

Abstract

The advancement of industrial technology and current lifestyle changes are rooted in the industrial revolution. The widespread penetration of the internet and the advancement of smartphone technology have played a crucial role in the development of this business model, driving overall industry growth. With the support of GPS technology, digital payments, and mobile applications, consumers can easily order these services. The ACI – Indonesian Online Ojek Application is one example of a platform that provides this service. However, with the surge of users in this digital era, the ACI – Indonesian Online Ojek Application faces significant challenges in competing with more established competitor applications. As can be seen on the Google Play Store platform, this application still has a lower rating compared to other competitors such as Gojek, Grab, Maxim, inDrive, and Omega. The determination of the rating count on the Google Play Store has several determining factors, one of which is user evaluation in using the application. Therefore, this research aims to check whether these problems exist, by analyzing user comment data using the Naïve Bayes method, and propose improvements using the 5W+1H method. The research results show that the sentiment analysis classification analysis using the Naïve Bayes method is 0.83 or 83%, which shows that the classification results can predict 83% correctly from the overall data, and in negative sentiment, there are 4 words that appear most often, in this case, the most complained about by users are the words application, driver, restaurant, and order. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a large amount of negative sentiment from application users, and it is best for the ACI application to improve the quality of its application performance.
