Abstract

This study investigates the impact of waiting time on visitor satisfaction and revisit intention at Kopi Klotok, a renowned local culinary destination. Using a quantitative approach with structural equation modelling (SEM), data were collected from 150 respondents who had visited Kopi Klotok. The results show that waiting time significantly influences visitor satisfaction (? = 0.326, p < 0.001) and revisit intention (? = 0.451, p < 0.001), with satisfaction also strongly affecting revisit intention (? = 0.592, p < 0.001). These findings emphasise the importance of managing queues and providing comfort during waiting to enhance loyalty. Practical implications include implementing reservation systems, extending operating hours, and improving waiting area facilities to ensure a positive visitor experience.

Abstract

Food photography has developed into a medium that transcends documentation, functioning as a form of aesthetic expression and cultural storytelling. This study analyzes a series of eight photographs depicting the pour-over brewing process of single-origin Kenya Gichathaini coffee. Using a qualitative visual analysis approach, the study integrates technical aspects of photography—composition, lighting, color, and depth of field—with narrative frameworks that shape viewers’ sensory experiences. The photographs were taken with a Fujifilm X-M1 camera and a TTArtisan 23mm f/1.4 lens, using continuous LED lighting with a softbox positioned at 8 o’clock. Each image was examined through established compositional rules such as the rule of thirds, golden ratio, and leading lines, alongside principles of soft directional lighting and negative space. Findings reveal that visual coherence, strategic use of composition, and controlled lighting work together to create a compelling narrative arc: from product identity, materiality of coffee beans, human interaction, brewing accuracy, process dynamics, transformation through blooming, contextual setup, and the final cup. This study highlights how food photography serves as both an aesthetic practice and a cultural text, contributing to the broader discourse of visual gastronomy. The implications extend to photographers, academics, and gastronomy practitioners seeking to craft food images that are not only visually appealing but also narratively meaningful.

Abstract

The author’s integration of technical guidance with digital marketing strategies makes the book highly relevant to the current creative economy and the growing role of food photography in social media and gastronomy-related industries. However, the book’s limitations lie in its strong focus on specific photographic equipment and the lack of cultural or critical perspectives on food representation. Despite these limitations, the book is considered a valuable reference for students, novice photographers, culinary practitioners, and academics seeking to enhance their understanding of food photography and its role in the digital era.

Abstract

Sustainable tourism is increasingly becoming a global trend, where cleanliness and waste management play a crucial role in enhancing the attractiveness of tourist destinations. Kampung Wisata Cokrodiningratan has adopted an organic waste management method using maggots as an innovative solution to reduce waste while attracting tourists interested in the concepts of ecotourism and educational tourism. This study aims to analyze the impact of organic waste management using the maggot method on tourists' interest in visiting Kampung Wisata Cokrodiningratan. Additionally, this research seeks to identify the most influential factors contributing to the appeal of environmentally educational tourism. A quantitative approach was employed in this study, using a survey technique involving 50 tourist respondents. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Cronbach’s Alpha reliability test, and Pearson correlation analysis to measure the relationship between maggot-based waste management and tourists' interest in visiting. The findings indicate that tourists' awareness of the maggot method has a positive correlation with their interest in visiting (r = 0.372, p < 0.01). Furthermore, the environmental impact of the maggot method has a significant relationship with tourism appeal (r = 0.500, p < 0.01), while the educational aspect of this method is the most dominant factor in increasing tourist interest (r = 0.523, p < 0.01). Organic waste management using the maggot method has been proven to be a contributing factor in enhancing tourism appeal in Kampung Wisata Cokrodiningratan. Tourists are more attracted to destinations that offer green tourism and educational tourism concepts. Therefore, marketing strategies focused on environmental education and interactive experiences should be strengthened to improve the competitiveness of this destination.

Abstract

The increasing number of tourist visits to Alun-Alun Kidul Yogyakarta brings with it various problems, one of which is the existence of unofficial fees that have the potential to reduce the level of visitor satisfaction and loyalty. Unofficial fees such as illegal parking fees, additional fees for attractions that are not in accordance with the provisions, and fees from unauthorized parties are considered detrimental to tourists and can influence their decision to return. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive design. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey involving 50 tourists who had visited Alun-Alun Kidul in the last six months and had experience or knowledge of these unofficial fees. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation tests, and reliability tests to measure the relationship between unofficial fees and tourist loyalty. The results of the study show that unofficial fees have a negative impact on tourist loyalty. The higher the unofficial fees felt by visitors, the lower their intention to return or recommend this tourist area. Several indicators show a strong and significant correlation. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of supervision and transparency in cost management in tourist areas. It is expected that local managers and governments can tighten supervision of illegal levies and set clear cost standards, in order to create a safe and comfortable tourism environment and increase tourist loyalty.

Abstract

Wisata petualangan telah menjadi bagian penting dari industri pariwisata dengan menawarkan pengalaman multisensori yang dapat memengaruhi aktivasi emosi wisatawan.Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak wisata petualangan di Air Terjun Kedung Kayang terhadap aktivasi emosi wisatawan serta mengidentifikasi faktor sensorik yang paling dominan dalam membentuk pengalaman emosional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei, melibatkan 107 responden yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner yang mengukur pengalaman sensorik, aktivasi emosi, dan kepuasan wisatawan dengan skala Likert 5 poin. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Teknik statistik deskriptif, uji validitas dan reliabilitas, serta analisis regresi linier berganda.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengalaman sensorik secara signifikan memengaruhi aktivasi emosi wisatawan, yang pada akhirnya berdampak pada kepuasan mereka. Aktivasi emosi ditemukan sebagai mediator yang lebih dominan dibandingkan pengalaman sensorik langsung dalam membentuk kepuasan wisatawan. Elemen sensorik yang paling berpengaruh terhadap aktivasi emosi adalah suara air terjun dan sensasi fisik selama trekking. Temuan ini mendukung teori sensory tourism dan memberikan implikasi bagi pengelola destinasi wisata untuk lebih menekankan pengalaman multisensori dalam pengembangan strategi pemasaran dan perancangan pengalaman wisata berbasis emosional. Studi ini juga merekomendasikan pengembangan fasilitas yang dapat meningkatkan pengalaman wisata berbasis sensorik tanpa mengurangi esensi petualangan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi pemanfaatan teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) dan tingkat kepuasan wisatawan di Diorama Arsip Yogyakarta serta pengaruhnya terhadap pengalaman wisatawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif asosiatif. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 96 wisatawan Diorama Arsip Yogyakarta, diambil secara purposive dengan kriteria usia minimal 17 tahun dan pernah berkunjung ke Diorama Arsip Yogyakarta. Data riset dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner, observasi, studi pustaka, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan teknologi augmented reality mampu menciptakan pengalaman wisatawan yang positif dengan besar pengaruh sebesar 69,3%. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi untuk penggunaan augmented reality pada destinasi wisata guna meningkatkan pengalaman berwisata. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the use of Augmented Reality (AR) technology and the level of tourist satisfaction at the Diorama Arsip Yogyakarta, as well as its impact on tourist experiences. This research uses a quantitative method with a descriptive associative approach. The research sample consists of 96 tourists at the Diorama Arsip Yogyakarta, selected purposively with the criteria of being at least 17 years old and having visited the Diorama Arsip Yogyakarta. Data were collected using questionnaires, observation, literature study, and documentation. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression. The results show that the use of augmented reality technology can create a positive tourist experience with an influence of 69.3%. This study recommends the use of augmented reality in tourist destinations to enhance the tourism experience.
