Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical comprehension ability of students in class XI of SMK, particularly on matrix material. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The data source obtained was derived from test results, interviews, and documentation. From the research conducted can be it is concluded that the results of students' mathematical comprehension ability on matrix material are included in the low (a)category. the research has shown that there are categories of students' mathematical comprehension ability, namely: students with mathematical comprehension ability in the high category totaled 1 person or 7.69%; (b) Students with mathematical comprehension ability in the medium category totaled 5 people or 38.46%; (c) Students with mathematical comprehension ability in the low category totaled 7 people or 53.84%. As for abilities, the highest mathematical understanding is found in the indicator of re-expressing a concept

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Application of Matlab in the Matrix. The development and presence of computer technology have made it easy for various parties to use it in life, including education, to support education. Computers are increasingly providing significant benefits in education, especially in learning. Hundreds or even thousands of computer application programs or software can be used for learning mathematics, especially the Matrix. One software that can be used in Matrix learning is the Matrix Laboratory (MATLAB). This program can increase speed and accuracy in mathematical calculations in Matrix learning so that the time needed to work is more efficient. The results obtained are more accurate than estimates done manually. It can also visualize graphs in 2 and three dimensions, for example, in completing the Matrix, so it is expected to increase understanding of the material provided.

Abstract

The metaverse, gaining attention especially in education, holds the potential to transform traditional teaching methods and improve educational outcomes by creating immersive learning environments. This study, focusing on integrating the metaverse into mathematics education at SMK Hasina in Sukabumi, Indonesia, reveals insights through a qualitative case study. Educators showed varied understanding levels influenced by interest and technological backgrounds. Acknowledging the metaverse's potential, educators affirm its ability to enhance interaction and accessibility in education. Recommendations propose extensive educator training and integration methods for the metaverse, emphasizing its promise in engaging students and reshaping teaching methodologies for diverse learning styles. While it promises dynamic learning experiences and global collaborations, comprehensive research is needed to understand its full potential and challenges. Educator education and broader involvement are vital for effective integration into educational settings, enhancing outcomes and inclusivity in learning.

Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of research trends in the field of sport science in Indonesia. Using a bibliometric approach, 128 relevant articles were collected, consisting of articles published in journals, written in English, and originating from Indonesia. This research focuses on analysing publication patterns and trends, with particular emphasis on publication year, affiliated institutions, and leading authors in the field of sport science. The analysis showed that 2020 was the year with the highest number of publications, indicating an increased interest and dedication to sport science research in Indonesia during that period. Among the various educational institutions contributing to this field, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta emerged as the leading campus with the highest number of publications, demonstrating its important role in advancing sport-related studies. Additionally, the study identified "Journal of Physics: Conference Series" as the dominant source of documents, signalling its significance in disseminating sports science research in Indonesia. To shed light on the prolific contributors, this study examined authorship patterns. In particular, three authors, Novita Sari Harahap, Yulingga Nanda Hanief, and Ahmad Nasrulloh, emerged as the most prolific in the sport science domain, with each of them writing four documents in the form of articles. Their notable contributions demonstrate their expertise and dedication to advancing knowledge in the field of sports science. In conclusion, while the current landscape of sport science research in Indonesia shows promise and progress, there are still limitations and areas for improvement. By addressing these challenges and embracing innovative research agendas, the field can continue to develop and flourish, ultimately contributing to the advancement of sport science knowledge and practice on both a local and global scale.

Abstract

There is evidence that utilizing GeoGebra in the classroom can be beneficial, especially in the field of mathematics. Dynamic Geometry Software (DGS) such as GeoGebra is a category of a computer program that combines algebraic and geometric capabilities. In the beginning, GeoGebra was nothing more than an application that could be used on personal computers. Because bibliometric analysis is employed in GeoGebra research projects. In addition, the objective of this work is to undertake bibliometric analysis to determine the development of GeoGebra research in Indonesia. A bibliometric analysis was carried out with the intention of evaluating the previous work that has been done on the topic of GeoGebra in Indonesia. We are interested in examining the progression of GeoGebra research outcomes in Indonesia, as well as the distribution pattern of publications in Scopus. The results are displayed in a short amount of time and in certain cases provide a comprehensive look at the developments and standing of the GeoGebra literature by affiliation from Indonesia, including information on authors, institutions, nations, and author keywords. For the purpose of clarity, the author's own keywords are the only ones used in the data analysis in this study. However, no R programming language library currently exists that can handle this issue.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pemahaman siswa tentang konsep Trigonometri pada Segitiga Siku-siku. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian deksriptif kualitatif. Pendekatan yang dilakukan adalah memotret pemahaman konsep pada 33 siswa kelas X IPA salah satu SMA Negeri di Cianjur. Pengumpulan data penelitian meliputi metode tes tertulis yang mengacu pada tes pemahaman konsep matematika. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas X IPA dalam materi trigonometri sudah tergolong sedang artinya dari 33 siswa, 29 siswa mampu menyelesaikan soal dan 4 siswa tidak mampu menyelesaikan. Faktor yang menyebabkannya adalah siswa melakukan kesalahan konsep trigonometri segitiga siku-siku seperti lupa konsep, tidak memahami konsep dengan benar, tidak memahami maksud soal dan hanya sekedar menghafal konsep bukan memahaminya.

Abstract

By using bibliometric analysis with Biblioshiny and computational mapping with VOSviewer, the purpose of this investigation is to investigate the evolution of research on didactic design in primary schools. In order to obtain data from the Dimension software, which served as a reference manager, we searched the titles and abstracts of papers for the terms "didactical design" and "primary school." The search was conducted on March 3, and it turned up 110 documents that matched the criteria and had a publishing range of 2016 to 2023. Articles and proceedings were found to be the sources that were referred to the most frequently, with a total of 18,094 citations and an average of 18.11 citations per article. The average h-index and g-index for all articles were 61 and 109, respectively. Additionally, the data from the findings show that research on didactic design in elementary schools has been widely conducted and is continuing to increase, indicating that it has a good chance of being associated with other significant terms in the years to come, both in the current year and in the future.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to identify patterns in the authors' use of keywords from research publications on gamification in mathematics learning; this would allow us to gauge the productivity and influence of this field of study. For the purpose of doing bibliometric analysis, data from Scopus ranging from 2017 to 2022 was utilized. Included in this investigation were forty-two research articles over the full time period, making the total number of documents included in this study n = 42.  Following the execution of the search procedure, the data were taken from Scopus utilizing the.csv file format, and afterwards, they were imported into a spreadsheet utilizing Microsoft Excel. The date for the gathering of data as well as the analysis is the 18th of August in 2022. The SciVal system (https://www.scival.com/) was utilized as a research tool for the goal of analyzing bibliographic indicators. A bibliometric analysis of our publications in gamification in mathematics learning research allows us to conclude that the number of publications is increasing every year. Although the publication activity of indexed scientists in Scopus is still low in this study. Study on gamification in mathematics education is the most researched topic in the social sciences. Dureva is the author of the most impactful publications on gamification of mathematics education. Both Bina Nusantara University in Indonesia and South-West University Neofit Rilski in Bulgaria are universities that have produced two scholarly documents each, making them the only two universities in the world to share this output. The journal Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing has the most scholarly output and is the most visited on its journal website. The finding that this research can give a basis for selecting the research that will be carried out by raising the topic of gamification in mathematics education is the consequence that was derived from this research. Because certain keywords in the field of research on the gamification of mathematics education are always subject to change. In addition, this research on bibliometric analysis can be utilized for systematic literature research and meta-analysis linked to gamification in mathematics education, and it can also be used to improve research that has already been conducted.

Abstract

This scoping review aims to consolidate the research that has been conducted on fractional learning challenges, with a particular emphasis on the various student groups, intervention strategies, outcomes, and specific learning problems. The research finds essential research topics and relevant papers and extracts data in order to gain an understanding of the intricate nature of fraction learning. The technique utilized in this study is a five-stage process. The preliminary literature searches produced a total of twenty-three articles, seven of which were chosen for a more in-depth examination. These publications covered a variety of themes, including the effectiveness of manipulatives, strategies for accommodating students who struggle with mathematics, focused training interventions, and instructor guidance. The findings of this research shed light on the myriad of difficulties associated with learning fractions. These difficulties range from basic conceptual and procedural comprehension to unique educational obstacles for a wide variety of student populations, including those with learning disabilities. The study focuses on a variety of intervention tactics, such as accommodations, strategic training, and the utilization of manipulatives, with the objective of enhancing problem-solving abilities, conceptual comprehension, and procedural proficiency in fractions. This all-encompassing examination highlights the ubiquity of misconceptions and the necessity of explicit training. It also highlights the usefulness of direct instruction, strategic education, and problem-solving exercises in improving students' comprehension of fractions. In order to overcome problems in learning fractions and to improve mathematical education, the findings advocate for the continuation of research and the incorporation of effective pedagogical approaches.
