Abstract

Coastal area is a very vulnerable to changes, because dynamic movement which are cause by the wave. A wave move bring a very easy basic particle coast and make errotion andaccresion in some area of coast. But, a coast will be return into a basic form if they had a balance character. Equilibrium Beach Profile (EBP) method is empirical correlation a scale parameter and the sediment size or fall velocity allow computation z = Ax2/3. Thismethod first time applicated by Robert G Dean in the beach California, United States. A purpose of research is want to know a balance of the coast in Sinaboi, Rokan Hilir with Equilibrium Beach Profile method. From analysis cross section data in some area, a slope formed by Equilibrium Beach Profile method almost approaching existing slope. A some cross section data which has a difference with existing slope and then justified a parameter.Keyword: coast, slope, equilibrium beach profile, coast change.

Abstract

Flood is a disaster that can cause a lot of disadvantage to society, from materials or people`s life. Based on the survey from Royal Haskoning Team (2011), Senapelan district had 3 (three) spots of puddles. Sukajadi with 7 (seven) spots and Limapuluh district with 4 (four) puddles. The issue was came from the existed drainage system was still depends and relying on the natural channel, like brooks, swamps, and the others. Nevertheless, the brooks or swamps which flows to Siak River isn`t always good and that can potentially let some puddles and flood in several spots happens. The preparation of flood risk index map was based on insecurity index, vulnerability index and capacity index. The insecurity index parameter was based on the high , the duration and the frequency of the puddles. The vulnerability index parameter was based on the number of peoples, the dense of buildings, the male ratio and the ratio for under 15 (fifteen) peoples. The capacity index parameter was based on the existed flood pump condition, water tunnel, levee and drainage. Those parameters were analyzed by using Geographic Information System Technology (GIS)Based on the flood risk map for those three districts had 2 (two) sub-districts with index III, 6 (six) sub-districts with index II, and 9 (nine) sub-districts with index I. Based on the insecurity index, they were 3 (three) sub-districts with index IV, 4 (four) sub-districts with index III, 1 (one) sub-district with index II, and 9 (nine) sub-districts with index I. Based on the vulnerability index, they were 6 (six) sub-districts with index IV, 9 (nine) sub-districts with index III, 2 (two) sub-districts with index II. Based on the capacity index, they were 3 (three) sub-districts with index V, 14 (fourteen) sub-districts with index IVKeywords : SIG, flood risk map , insecurity, vulnerability, capacity.

Abstract

Change of land use in the Kaiti watershed will influence to surface flow. This surface flow will increase the potential for land erosion and sediment transport capacity. This will have a major impact on the functional life of the Cipogas Lake reservoir. The USLE method is used to estimate erosion that occurs in watersheds with the help of GIS. GIS is used to predict the size of USLE parameters. The results of the analysis show that erosion occuring in the Kaiti river basin classified as heavy class (>480 Tons/Ha/Year) and the erosion potential that will enter the Kaiti reservoir is 216,273.387 tons/yr. Abstract

The coastal area of Bengkalis Regency, especially the one directly opposite the Malaka Strait has the characteristic of sea waves that are strong enough so that it can suffer quite severe damage such as abrasion and sedimentation. Abrasion and sedimentation on the coast is influenced by the characteristic wave conditions. The purpose of this research is to make a beach modeling to determine the characteristics of breaking waves and to compare the breaking waves on peat, clay and sandy beaches. The method used in this research is wave simulation by making peat beach modeling with scale variations of 2,3,4,5 and 6 on the wave generator. This simulation uses laboratory simulation. The results showed that the height of the breaking waves on a clay beach is 0.017 to 0.034 m, the depth of breaking waves is 0.003 to 0.033 m and the types of breaking waves that occurred were spilling and plunging. The height of the breaking waves of sand material is 0.012 to 0.033 m, the depth of breaking waves is 0.010 to 0.031 m and the types of breaking waves that occurred were spilling and plunging. The height of the breaking waves of the peat material is 0.008 to 0.025 m, the depth of breaking waves is 0.008 to 0.025 m and the types of breaking waves that occurred were spilling and plunging. Abstract

Cylinder grouped pillars on meander experienced hydrodynamic and helicoidal force. Laboratory model with 7 testing variations wich are the test withouth pillars (Fr2Tp), 3 variations without curtains (Fr1P, Fr2P, Fr3P) dan 3 variations using curtains (Fr1Pp, Fr2Pp, Fr3Pp) are used to identify the phenomenon of local scouring of grouped cylinder type pillar with curtain protector on meander. The materials used in this research are Kampar River’s sand passing no.10 shieve with Gs value of 2,66 and grain size of d35 = 0,247 mm; d50 = 0,298 mm; dan d65 = 0,352 mm as well as flume with meander index of 1,009. Shield graphic of subcritical flow with characteristic froude numbers 0,4249; 0,6460; and 0,6981 and reynolds numbers Fr1, Fr2, Fr3 wich are 1658,416 (transition), 3081,683 (turbulence) and 4381,188 (turbulence) showed that the grain moved. The equilibrium of scouring occured on 75th minutes for Fr1 and Fr2, and 150th minutes for Fr3. The bigger of froude number showed helicoidal force that occured was smaller, and the grain size wich is transported was also bigger. The result of this research showed that the curtains can reduce local scouring on Fr1, Fr2, and Fr3 at about 53,33 %, 45,55%, and 60,00% respectively.Keyword : Local Scouring, Cylinder Grouped Pillars, Curtain Protector, Depth Ratio.

Abstract

Port is defined as the intersection of land and water transportation nodes withloading and unloading activities of goods. The loading and unloading activities requiredecent equipments to support process. Any equipment that fails to function properly willgreatly delay the loading and unloading process in the port.Several factors that affect loading and unloading delay of goods are due to disabledequipment and human error which are classified into technical factors. These technicalfactors include broken equipment and human errors such as pending truck and operatorarrival.Based on the analysis on PT. Antarindo Wahana Cargo, the company that performsthe loading and unloading activities in Dumai Port A, the main factor which contributes tothe delay was broken equipments. The worst idle time that occurs due to the brokenequipments was 0,69% (5 hours) during February 2015. The offered solution to minimizethe idle time due to the broken equipments: 1) periodic maintenance especially for oldequipments, and 2) renting other equipment to replace the broken equipment so theloading and unloading process could be done timely. Keywords : port, idle time, loading and unloading, equipment, broken equipment
