Abstract

This study aims to identify the quality of the salty egg with  increasing  ginger extract (Zingiber officinale)  with different concentrated. This research used duck egg with increasing ginger with four treatment there are P0= 0 %,P1= 20 %, P2= 30 %, P3= 40 %, with every treatment that repeatedly four ways, where every repeatedly used five eggs samples the total of the samples is sixty eggs. Complete Random Device (RAL) by four treatments and four restatings. The parameter which is perceiving by the smell, egg yolk, taste, and sandy. Based on the results of the analysis of the variety and showed that the addition of ginger extract at different concentration did not give effect to the colour and fossil where the value (Fhit <Ftabel) at the concentration of 95% confidence and greatly affect the aroma and taste fossil where (Fhit> Ftabel) at 99% confidence concentration. Abstract

The large amount of poultry egg production in South Sulawesi caused the most of poultry egg seller moved their wares to some of the regions including the destination of Central Sulawesi. The transportation process was allegedly causing the decreasing of quality and quantity of eggs such as egg weight, yolk index, albumin index to location and height of the rack arrangement in the truck. The aim of thestudy was to observe and determine the effect of the location and height of the rack arrangement in the truck during transportation from Sidrap Regency, South Sulawesi to Palu City, Central Sulawesi. This research was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) with a factorial pattern of 3 x 5 with 3 repetitions, factor A was the location of the container in the truck diagonally and factor B was the height of the rack. The results showed that the rack location resulted in a shrinkage of 0.7%, the yolk index had no effect, while the albumin index had an effect.

Abstract

Carrying out a business activity in the small and large-scale chicken farming sector certainly has externalities for other people and the surrounding environment. An externality is an impact (positive or negative) on the existence of a business which is a necessity that economic actors need to know. If the impact is detrimental, then it is called a negative externality. On the other hand, if the impact is favorable, it is called a positive externality. The problem of externalities is related to the problems of justice and welfare that occur in society. People's welfare can be measured by their income. Community income is the flow of money that flows from the business world to the community in the form of wages and salaries, interest, rent, and profits. The purpose of this study was to determine the externalities of laying hens to the community in Padakkalawa Village. The research used is descriptive quantitative, namely the process of finding knowledge that uses data in the form of numbers as a tool to analyze information. The results showed that the negative externality caused by laying hens is environmental pollution, while the positive externalities caused by laying hens are absorbing labor, creating new business opportunities, and the availability of manure.

Abstract

Salted eggs are livestock products that have undergone a salting process to extend shelf life, add flavor, and increase consumer tastes. The fat content in duck eggs is very high, reaching 35-34%, concentrated in egg yolks. It could be dangerous if consumed in excess; therefore, a study was conducted to determine the fat content of salted duck eggs with the addition of sweet orange juice (Citrus). sinesis L). This study used sweet orange juice (Citrus sinesis L) with different concentrations of 0% (control), 80% (P1), 90% (P2), 100% (P3), and 100% commercial Vitamin C. (Vicee) (P4). The research used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and four replications. Each replication consisted of 2 eggs. Parameters observed were sensory quality (yolk color, Aroma, Taste, grit) and fat content of salted duck eggs. The results showed that the addition of sweet orange juice (Citrus sinesis L) on sensory quality (yolk color, aroma, taste, grit) had no significant effect (P0.05). Meanwhile, the fat content in egg yolk had a significant effect (P0.05).

Abstract

Blumea balsamifera (sembung) is a type of herbal plant that grows wild and has a bioactivity function for livestock. This study aims to find out how the effect of adding sembung leaf flour (Blumea balsamifera) has on the performance and digestive profile of broiler organs. This study was designed using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications for each treatment, where the treatments were: P0 (Control); P1 (Commercial Feed + 3% Sembung flour); P2 (Commercial Feed + 4% Sembung flour); P3 (Commercial Feed + 5% sembung flour). The parameters observed in this study were performance which included feed consumption, body weight gain (PBB), feed conversion ratio (FCR) and profile which included the proportion of weight and length of digestive organs. Processed data were analyzed using analysis of variance from RAL and continued with Duncan's test if the results were significant. The B.balsamifera supplementation treatment at the 3% level indicated better body weight gain and ration conversion compared to other treatments. Giving B. balsamifera to a level of 5% in broiler feed does not have an adverse effect on broiler performance and the profile of their digestive organs.
