Abstract

The area of Indonesia is 1.3% of the Earth, but it has the highest level of biodiversity. Biodiversity in the environment needs to be explored. The mountain area is one of the most suitable environments for exploring biodiversity, such as the Gumitir Mountain. Gumitir Mountain has altitude around 620 meters above sea level. Gumitir Mountain has high biodiversity. Mosses (Bryophyta), ferns (Pteridophyta), till seed plants (Spermatophyta), and including Lichen was found in this area. Lichen is a mutualism symbiotic organism between fungi and green algae or blue-green algae that lives on the surface of the tree or another substrate with a variety of shapes and colours. This study aims to determine the diversity of kinds and frequencies of each kind of lichen found in the Gumitir Mountain area of Jember Regency. This research classified into exploratory research. Data retrieval is using the cruised method. Lichens are found in 20 species with Phlyctis arena (Ach.) Flot. as kind of lichen that is abundant in Gumitir Mountain Area.

Abstract

Forest is a unit of ecosystem in the form of a stretch of land containing living natural resources dominated by trees and other natural components which cannot be separated. One of Indonesian forest that has high plant species richness, is the Raden Soerjo Forest Park. The place is also rich of lower plants species due to its dimatic and environmental condition. Lower plants consist of all types of vegetation which are found under forest stands except young trees. The group of lower plant is mostly bushy. Shrubs are layer of plants that grow clumped with short stems below 1.5 meters high. This study atmed to determine the diversity of shrub in Raden Soerjo Forest Park. This type of research is descriptive exploratory research. The result showed that are 23 species of shrubs in Raden Soerjo Forest Park, those 23 are belong to 15 classis which are Asteraceae, Rubiaceae, Gesneriaceae, Elaegnaceae, Primulaceae, Fabaceae, Polygonaceae, Acanthaceae, Urticaceae, Rutaceae, Malvaceae, chloranthaceae, Verbenaceae, Solanaceae, and Rosaceae. The result of diversity of shrubs in each family is Fabaceae (low), Malvaceae (low), Asteraceae (low), Verbenaceae (low), Urticaeae (low), Solanaceae (low), Rosaceae (low), Chloranthaceae (low), Polygonaceae (low), Elaegnaceae (low), Rutaceae (low), Primulaceae (low), Acanthaceae (low), Gesneriaceae (low), dan Rubiaceae (low). The total number of plants found is 213 plants.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan asesmen kinerja dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas VII MTs Darul Hikmah Darek. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 20 siswa kelas VII MTs Darul Hikmah Darek. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan dua siklus. Data keterampilan proses sains dikumpulkan menggunakan instrument lembar observasi, sedangkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dikumpulkan menggunakan instrument tes dengan 20 item soal. Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran juga diukur dalam penelitian ini menggunakan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan (RPP). Data penelitianian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) keterlaksanaan RPP pada siklus I mencapai 68% dengan kategori baik, sedangkan pada siklus II mencapai 100% dengan kategori sangat baik; (2) keterampilan proses sains pada siklus I mencapai 55% dengan kategori cukup tinggi, dan pada siklus II mencapai 75% dengan kategori tinggi; dan (3) skor rata-rata hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada siklus I mencapai 66 dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 40%, sedangkan siklus II mencapai 77 dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 90%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan asesmen kinerja dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada kelas VII MTs Darul Hikmah Darek. The Implementation of Performance Assessment in Biology Practicum Activities to Improve Students' Science Process Skills and Cognitive Learning Outcomes Abstract The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of performance assessment in improving science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes of seventh grade students of MTs Darul Hikmah Darek. The subjects of this study were 20 grade VII students of MTs Darul Hikmah Darek. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) using two cycles. Science process skills data were collected using an observation sheet instrument, while students' cognitive learning outcomes were collected using a test instrument with 20 items of questions. The implementation of learning was also measured in this study using the implementation observation sheet (RPP). The researcch data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed (1) the implementation of the lesson plans in the first cycle reached 68% in the good category, while in the second cycle it reached 100% in the very good category; (2) science process skills in the first cycle reached 55% in the fairly high category, and in the second cycle it reached 75% in the high category; and (3) the average score of students' cognitive learning outcomes in the first cycle reached 66 with classical completeness of 40%, while the second cycle reached 77 with classical completeness of 90%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of performance assessments can improve science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes of students in class VII MTs Darul Hikmah Darek.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis lesson study terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment (eksperimen semu). Teknik pengumpulan data meggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan post-test only control group design, pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen, subjek dipilih secara random yang sebelumnya dilakukan uji homogenitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis lesson study berpengaruh secara signifikan dengan probabilitas sebesar (p=0,000) terhadap berpikir krtitis siswa dengan rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis kelas eksperimen sebesar 72,56 (±10,16) sedangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis kelas kontrol sebesar 60,52 (±11,96). Berdasarkan analisis kriteria, kelas eksperimen memiliki kriteria kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi sedangkan kelas kontrol memiliki kriteria kemampuan berpikir kritis rendah. Kata Kunci: pembelajaran kolaboratif, lesson study, berpikir kritis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran biologi menggunakan metode pembelajaran Scramble dan Time Token pada kelas XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 3 Jember. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Rancangan penelitian terdiri dari dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, tes, dokumentasi dan angket. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan adanya peningkatan motivasi belajar dari 14,175 menjadi 24,93 dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada siklus 1 sebesar 68 dan pada siklus 2 menjai 77,4 sedangkan hasil belajar afektif pada siklus 1 sebesar 44,55 menjadi 66,9 pada siklus 2 dalam pembelajaran biologi dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Scramble dan Time Token di kelas XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 3 Jember (pokok bahasan sistem reproduksi manusia). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model integrasi mind map dan question student have terhadap keterampilan berpikir krtis dan hasil belajar IPA biologi kelas VII SMPN 10 Jember. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen (eksperimen semu). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara, dan metode tes (pre-test dan post-test). Data diambil dari dua kelas homogen untuk menentukan kelas kontrol dan eksperimen, yaitu kelas VII G dan VII H. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan statistik Anakova dan Uji Independent Sample t-test. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya pengaruh model integrasi mind map dan question student have terhadap keterampilan berpikir krtis dan hasil belajar IPA biologi kelas VII SMPN 10 Jember tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the potential antagonism performed by the endophytic fungi of lemongrass against Escherichia coli. Five species of endophytic fungi were tested using agar well method. These fungi consist of Paecilomyces lilacinus, Penicillium sp., Trichoderma viride, Fusarium oxysporum, and Fusarium sp., each was taken from roots, stem, and leaves, respectively. Chloramphenicol and aquadest were used as control. The results showed that there is significant inhibition of E. coli compared to the negative control. Paecilomyces lilacinus showing the most prominent inhibition with 74.67%, followed by unknown species of Fusarium 47.33%, Penicillium sp 42.67%, Fusarium oxysporum 21.67%, and Trichoderma viride 17.43%. It can be concluded that all five isolates of endophytic fungi from lemongrass (Cymbophogon nardus (L.) Rendle) have the ability to inhibit the growth of E. coli, and thus have antagonism potential against E. coli.
