Abstract

Acute complications Diabetes Mellitus such as hypoglycemia is an emergency situation that can occur in the course of Diabetes mellitus disease. Hypoglycemia is a result of lower blood sugar levels below normal. The purpose of this research is to know the description of Diabetes Mellitus patient's knowledge about Hypoglycemia and the initial treatment of Hypoglycemia. The research design used descriptive research design and purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 30 people. Data collection using questionnaire sheet. The results showed that Diabetes Mellitus patients on the initial handling of Hypoglycemia found that 46.7% were in the category of knowledge enough and 16.7% less. Counseling by Polyclinic officers in Diabetes Mellitus patients about early handling Hypoglycemia needs to be done to treat Hypoglycemia.

Abstract

Elderly people who experience sleep disorders are at risk of various health problems, including hypertension. To treat insomnia comprehensively, an approach that not only relies on medication is needed, but also complementary therapies, one of which is brainwave music therapy. This music therapy can stimulate the brain to follow the vibrations and rhythms of music when individuals are in a resting state, so as to bring them into a relaxed state and make it easier to fall asleep. This study aims to analyse the effect of brainwave music therapy on the level of insomnia in elderly hypertension. The research design used a descriptive case study approach involving two hypertensive elderly subjects who experienced sleep disorders. Music therapy was performed six times with a duration of 10-15 minutes. Data were collected through insomnia scale and observation. The results showed a decrease in the level of insomnia in both subjects after undergoing brainwave music therapy. Subjects who initially experienced severe insomnia decreased to mild insomnia. This indicates that brainwave music therapy has the potential to be an effective non-pharmacological intervention in reducing insomnia symptoms in hypertensive elderly

Abstract

A fracture is a break in the continuity of a bone. The injury recovery process may not go perfectly if the patient cannot move after surgery. Of course, this condition will affect the length of time the patient is considered in the emergency clinic. The recovery that medical staff should be able to carry out in patients with post-operative femur fractures is to complete the initial assembly. Early mobilization is an effort to pursue freedom as quickly as possible by directing the victim to follow physiological capabilities. The motivation behind this study was to determine the impact of early preparation practices on postoperative femoral fracture patients. This research was conducted in the Surgery Room at Ngudi Waluyo Wlingi Regional Hospital. The technique used is a quantitative illustrative examination strategy with an overview type. The population was 5 respondents with post-operative femur fractures treated in the work room, who were examined using an all out examination procedure. Information is obtained through perception. Considering the side effects of the review, it was shown that most of the 60% of respondents with post-operative femur fractures were dependent on others. It stands to reason that there is an impact of movement practices in post-operative femur fracture patients that would encourage a longer stay in the emergency clinic. Patients who are recovering from surgery need to start mobilizing as soon as possible to ensure smooth blood flow, speed wound healing, and minimize hospitalization..

Abstract

Motoric development is an essential aspect of child development, even said to be the first benchmark to see the growth and development of children. One of the assessments of motoric development can be done with the sensory play method. This study aims to identify children's fine motor development through the sensory play method. This research method is a descriptive research design. The sample in this study was all children aged 4-7 years who attended Kindergarten “Dharma Wanita Kotes” in January - March 2023 with a total population of 25 students. The sampling technique used total population sampling. Data collection uses a checklist sheet, assessment according to interpretation guidelines. The results showed the development of seven senses of children through sensory play methods such as the senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, all respondents developed according to age (100%), but in the development of the senses of touch, vestibular and proprioceptive, almost all respondents developed (96%) , because there is one respondent who has difficulty when playing activities with the seven senses, where this is influenced in terms of age and lack of socializing.

Abstract

Babies are golden periods because in this period the babies will experience very significant. One of the influences on a baby's growth and development is providing nutrients to the baby appropriately according to his age, one of which is a complementary food. The purpose study was to determine the relationship between maternal behavior in early breastfeeding and the incidence of diarrhea in infants, in addition to identify mothers' breastfeeding behavior, the type of complementary food given, and the incidence of diarrhea in early breastfeeding. The method used a Traditional Study Review design and used the keywords "mother's behavior," "early complementary food," and "Baby diarrhea." This review study used a population of Infants 0-6 months. Exposure to Maternal Behavior in Early Breastfeeding, Outcome Incidence of Diarrhea, and Design Study Journal Articles used a cross-sectional design approach, analytical correlation, and analytical observational survey. Results showed a relationship between mothers' behavior in early breastfeeding and the incidence of diarrhea in infants. Mothers giving complementary food for less than six months were caused by factors such as low maternal knowledge and skills, which refer to the mother's low level of education. Medical personnel must be more active in counseling parents, especially mothers who have babies, about early complementary food to minimize the incidence of diarrhea in babies.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a global public health problem characterized by high mortality and prevalence. One type of pharmacological treatment for diabetes mellitus is insulin injection therapy. Experience in performing self-administered insulin injection therapy is still found obstacles that must be considered so as not to affect the effectiveness of insulin injection therapy. This study aims to determine the experience of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in carrying out insulin self-injection therapy. The research design used qualitative methods and data collection was carried out in the UPT Puskesmas Sukorejo and Sananwetan areas of Blitar City and the data collection time was carried out in March 2024. The data were analyzed by reducing the data, presenting the data in the form of transcripts and described descriptively. The research results showed that all participants had fulfilled the cognitive aspects as evidenced by knowing the definition and type of insulin used. In the affective aspect, it was stated that all participants felt comfortable and felt healthier when carrying out insulin injection therapy but there were mental problems when diagnosed with diabetes mellitus and when injecting insulin themselves. In the psychomotor aspect, all participants have performed insulin injection skills correctly but there are some mistakes that must be considered.

Abstract

Early identification of pregnancy risk factors using the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) handbook and the Poedji Rochyati Score Card can be carried out by pregnant women or community health volunteers (cadres). Supporting cadres in identifying high-risk pregnancies facilitates timely detection and appropriate intervention. This study aimed to develop a pregnancy risk detection booklet based on the MCH handbook. A cluster randomized controlled trial with a pretest-posttest control group design was conducted in eight villages, involving 30 selected cadres recommended by local midwives based on their active participation. The intervention group received training and assistance using the developed booklet. The results demonstrated that cadres in the intervention group had significantly greater improvement in pregnancy risk detection skills compared to the control group, with a mean difference of 18.7 (95% CI: 15.2–22.2, p=0.001). In addition, cadre performance in antenatal care using the 10T approach improved by 15.7% (95% CI: 11.3–20.1, p=0.001) in the intervention group relative to the control. These findings suggest that the booklet is an effective tool for enhancing cadres’ competencies in early pregnancy risk screening and service delivery. Further development of the booklet with more engaging and culturally relevant content may enhance its utility and adoption in community health settings.
