Abstract

This research is about the credits of bank especially working capital credits so the title of this research is "The analysis demand and supply credits of bank". The aim of this research are to analysis the factors of demand  credits and the factors of supply credits effect to working capital credits with use the simultan regressor model and the accounts is used Two-Stage Least Squares (2 SLS). This research is supported wih theories and they are demand credits theory, supply credits theory and credit market by New Keynes theory. The result of this research are from demand credits side show that economic growing is not significant to working capital credits where as the interest rate of working capital credits is significant to working capital credits and R2 is 47,40 percent shows that 47,40 the demand of credits are effected by free variables in the model. From the supply credits side show that credits capacity, CAR and DPK are not significant  to working capital credits whereas the interest rate of working capital credits is significant to working capital credits and R2 is 94,58 percent show that 94,58 percent the supply of credits are effected by free variables in the model. Because the models are used in this research simultan so from the economic growing side can be effected by working capital credits, the interest rate of working capital credits and DPK. And these three variables are not significant to the economic growing . R2 is 69,08 percent shows that 69,08 percent the economic growing are effected by free variables in the model. So before giving the credits of working capital, the bankers must know information about the crediturs. To make policy must be done carefully and this research must be continued. Keywords: working capital credits, the economic growing, the interest rate of working capital credits, credits capacity, CAR and DPK.

Abstract

This research aims to compare and analyze the efficiency of Islamic banking in Southeast Asia and the Middle East by examining particular inputs such as third-party funds, operational expenses, labor costs, and return on assets, focusing on financing as the output. This quantitative study uses a purposive sampling technique to sample 30 sharia banks from Southeast Asia and 30 sharia banks from the Middle East from 2015 to 2022. The data used is secondary data from BankFocus and the annual financial reports of each bank. Data was processed using the Frontier 4.1 application with the Stochastic Frontier Analysis method. The results of this research show that the efficiency of sharia banking in the Middle East is higher than sharia banking in Southeast Asia. On the other hand, the return on assets has no impact on financing, but the input of third-party funds, operational expenses, and labor costs all have an impact. These findings show the importance of efficiently supervising the management of third-party funds and costs incurred by banks in order to improve banking performance. Hence, this will ultimately lead to an increase in the efficiency of sharia banking and a growth of banking profits.

Abstract

Assessing the economic value of natural resources is always challenging and depends on various perspectives. Specifically, this study seeks to identify the determining factors of recreation demand regarding the Kongar Lake of South Sumatera. The data was obtained from a survey of 150 individuals who visited the lake. The approach used descriptive statistics and an individual travel cost method (ITCM) to conduct the investigation of distributional effects across variables on the number of visitors by using a linear multiple regression approach with a natural logarithm model. The findings suggest that (i) joint recreation demand is influenced by travel costs, income, distance, education, age, and work hours per day; (ii) in part the results of this study show that determining factors of recreation demand are based on travel cost, distance, and education; (iii) the consumer surplus was IDR.16,912 per visit and the annual recreational value included 1,720 people who visited the lake annually over an area of 5,298,288 per ha. The results of this study reveal that Kongar Lake has a considerable recreational value that, from this point of view, can help policymakers to make the case for preservation planning and sustainable utilization of natural resources.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of the Macro-prudential Intermediation Ratio (MIR) as an instrument of Bank Indonesia's macro-prudential regulation on Non-Performing Assets (NPA) as one of the banking industry performance indicators in Indonesia. In addition, this study also examines several other independent variables such as bank assets as an indicator of bank size, Bank Indonesia interest rates (BI rate), and inflation as macroeconomic indicators and their effect on NPA. The NPA, MIR, and bank asset data used in this study consist of 109 commercial banks operating in Indonesia during the period from January 2015 to December 2020. This study uses an Ordinary Least Square (OLS) analysis approach by undertaking classical assumption tests and statistical tests. The results show that (1) MIR, bank assets, BI rate, and inflation simultaneously have a significant effect on NPA (2) Partially, bank assets have a negative and significant effect on NPA while other variables including macro-prudential policy have no significant effect on NPA (3) Variable MIR, bank assets, BI rate, and inflation can explain variations of NPA variable by 34% (4) Larger bank size encourages prudent financing and reduces NPA.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of competition banks on credit risk in the dual banking system in Indonesia. This research was conducted using a purposive sampling technique in selecting a sample of 5 conventional commercial banks and 5 Islamic commercial banks. The method used is the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) from 2011 to 2020. Credit risk for Conventional Banks is measured by the value of Non-Performing Loan (NPL), while Islamic Bank Financing is measured by the value of Non-Performing Financing (NPF). The results of this study indicate that Return on Assets (ROA) for Conventional Banks and Islamic Banks has a significant effect on credit risk in the dual banking system, Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) for Conventional Banks does not have a significant effect on Non-Performing Loan (NPL) while Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) of Islamic Banks has a significant level 2 influence on Non-Performing Financing (NPF). Bank size does not have a significant influence on credit risk in the dual banking system, and the Lerner Index for Conventional Banks has a significant effect on Non-Performing Loan (NPL), while the Lerner Index for Islamic Banks has no effect on Non-Performing Financing (NPF). The Central Bank in making policies can see that the level of competition for banks in the dual banking system in Indonesia is categorized as a monopolistic competition market, where each bank has its own market segment so that it has market power that is strong enough to set prices that are relatively.
