Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kelayakan alat peraga pengukuran jarak bintang dan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik yang telah dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model penelitian ADDIE. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) Validasi kelayakan alat peraga pengukuran jarak bintang dan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik memperoleh nilai modus kriteria validasi yang sangat baik atau layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. (2) Setelah melaksanakan pembelajaran menggunakan alat peraga dan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik, ketercapaian keterampilan proses sains peserta didik dalam melaksanakan kegiatan laboratorium memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 3,27 dengan predikat B. Sedangkan, hasil peningkatan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik berhasil meningkat dari nilai rata-rata sebesar 2,05 menjadi 3,12 yang didukung skor gain hasil pre-test dan post-test  sebesar 0,62 dan mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan melalui uji-t. (3) Peserta Didik memberikan respon yang positif terhadap alat peraga dan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik yang dikembangkan dengan rata-rata persentase penilaian sebesar 96,30% dan 92,66%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat peraga pengukuran jarak bintang dan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik yang dikembangkan layak dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran yang berguna untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik. Kata Kunci: Alat Peraga Pengukuran Jarak Bintang, Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik, Keterampilan Proses Sains Peserta Didik   Abstract This study aims to describe the feasibility of the star distance measurement props and the student worksheet that has been developed to enhance the student’s scientific process skill. This is a development research using ADDIE research model. The research result shows that (1) the feasibility of the star distance measurement props and student worksheet scored an excellent moe of validation critera or feasiable in learning. (2) After following the learning process by using the props and the student worksheet, the attainment of the learner’s scientific process skill in carrying out laboratory activities obtained an average of 3.27 with B predicate. While the result of the learner’s scientific process skills enhancement has successfully increased from the average value of 2.05 to 3.12 that has been supported by the score gain result of pre-test and post-test by 0.62 and underwent significant improvement through test-t. (3) The Learner gave positive response toward the props and the worksheet that has been developed with the average assessment point of 96.30% and 92.66 %. Thus it can be concluded that the star distance measurement props and the student worksheet that has been developed is viable to be used as learning media to enhance the science process skills of the learners.   Key Words: Star distance measurement Props, Student worksheet, Scientific process skill.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik terkait materi laju reaksi melalui penerapan problem based learning dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen. Jenis penelitian yang dilaksanakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dengan 2 siklus. Teknik analisis data menggunakan gain score. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu adanya peningkatan pemahaman konsep peserta didik terhadap materi laju reaksi. Rata-rata hasil pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada siklus I ke siklus II mengalami peningkatan sebesar 6,94. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa telah terjadi peningkatan pemahaman konsep terkait materi laju reaksi oleh peserta didik.

Abstract

Critical thinking helps students develop the ability to analyze information, search for evidence, and make decisions based on open and logical thinking. This study measures junior high school students' critical thinking on heat concepts by implementing the Scaffolding method. This research used a pre-experimental method with a one-group pre-test and post-test design with a quantitative approach. The subjects of this research were 57 seventh-grade students in junior high school. The results show that the paired sample t-test is 0.000 < 0.05, which shows that the Scaffolding method effectively improves students' critical thinking skills on heat concepts and is confirmed by the n-gain test of 0.73 in the high category. It can be concluded that the Scaffolding method effectively increases junior school students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to synthesize zeolite-NaY material which is then applied as an adsorbent for methane adsorption. Zeolite-NaY was synthesized by hydrothermal method and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and isotherm adsorption-desorption N2 (BET). The characterization results showed that synthesized zeolite-NaY had a diffraction peak with the highest intensity at 2θ = 6° and its morphology showed octahedral crystals. Zeolite-NaY was then applied as an adsorbent for methane adsorption. The methane adsorption test on zeolite-NaY was carried out using the gravimetric method at temperature of 30 °C and pressure of 1 bar. The data was recorded of increasing time every 1 minute until constant. The adsorption test results showed that the methane adsorption capacity on the zeolite-NaY material was 0.436 % wt.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah : 1) Meningkatkan Motivasi kaum difable untuk berkarya dan konseling permasalahan yang dihadapi mereka, dan 2) Meningkatkan kepedulian terhadap Kesehatan kaum difable. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 09 – 16 Agustus 2024, bertempat dusun besi, desa tlogoagung, kecamatan Kembangbahu, Kabupaten lamongan. Jumlah peserta yang terlibat adalah 17 orang terdiri dari 4 anggota difable berkebutuhan pendidikan dan 13 anggota difable berkebutuhan kesehatan. Metode pelaksanaan dengan penyuluhan, screening kesehatan dan konseling pendidikan. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan diketahui bahwa Kondisi kesehatan anggota kelompok difabel di dusun besi desa tlogoagung kecamatan kembangbahu lamongan rata-rata masih di atas normal utamanya tekanan darah, kadar gula darah dan kolesterol. Namun dukungan pendidikan dari keluarga terhadap peserta difabel sangat baik. Sacara umum Kegiatan penyuluhan, screening kesehatan dan konseling pendidikan berjalan dengan partisipasi peserta yang sangat baik. Perlu dilakukan pendampingan yang rutin serta tindak lanjut instansi lain dalam mendukung peningkatan kesehatan dan pendidikan kaum difabel guna menuju Indonesia Inklusif 2030.

Abstract

One of the demand of teacher performance assessment is that teacher must be active in improving his competence by participating in various kinds of training. However, this policy ultimately triggers teachers not to focus on improving their own quality, but only to focus on certificate quantities. Thus, it can be concluded that the increase in the number of certificates collected is not in line with the expected increase in competency. Given this problem, the Teacher Working Community (TWC) considers it necessary to improve the quality of teacher performance through training activities to become training providers. So in this case, the increase in the number of certificates collected by teachers will be proportional to the competencies they possess. The stages of implementing activities begin with socialization, followed by training, then mentoring and evaluation and the program sustainability stage. The result of holding this training was that the percentage of understanding of the participants was 72% which was categorized as Good. Apart from that, the response from the participants regarding the holding of this training was very good. The sustainability of this training program is to continue the training program for training organizers in other TWC clusters with a wider network scope.

Abstract

The same thinking or giving the exact solution when expressed by several students in open-ended questions or High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) indicates a lack of self-efficacy. This is the background of the purpose of this study to measure self-efficacy through Student Worksheets based on empirical and theoretical reviews on static fluid materials. This study is quasi-experimental because it uses a pre-post-test control group design. Sampling will be done using a purposive sampling technique. The samples were junior high school students in one of the Lamongan districts. The results of this study indicate that the Student Worksheet based on the theoretical, empirical review can increase students’ self-efficacy. An increase in self-efficacy was observed from the average value at the time of the pre-test, 62.68%, to 71.95% at the time of the post-test. The results of these values are classified as good improvement according to the Likert scale. Self-efficacy is measured using six indicators (scientific content, problem-solving ability, laboratory usage, daily application, scientific communication, and scientific literacy). Scientific literacy indicators get the lowest average value caused by the low interest of students in learning a concept. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct further research on the relationship between student interest and self-efficacy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh model pembelajaran inquiry-discovery terhadap meningkatnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi fluida statis. Penelitian dilakukan kepada siswa SMA kelas XI di kota Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi-experiment sebagai metode untuk melaksanakan penelitian. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah adanya peningkatan dalam kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan untuk mengukur peningkatan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi lainnya, seperti kemampuan pemecahan masalah untuk mengurangi miskonsepsi mereka dengan menggunakan pembelajaran yang sama.

Abstract

The research aims to synthesize and characterized the properties of Natural Clay as adsorbent of cationic methylene blue which was easly prepared low-cost to be natural clay powder. Prepared natural clay then characterized by XRD, FTIR, and XRF. The methylene blue adsorption was tested using batch method with further analysis by spectrophotometry UV-Vis. The adsorption data then be analyze kinetic perform. The result showed that methylene blue adsorption capacity of natural clay is up to 72.51% While the kinetic study of methylene blue adsorption using natural clay showed that methylene blue adsorption process was suitable with kinetic model of Pseudo Second Order.

Abstract

Recently, Indonesian higher education has redesigned curricula under the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy to enhance student proficiency. This comprehensive framework covers learning outcomes, materials, processes, and assessment, with effective evaluation crucial for gauging learning outcomes and engaging students. This study explores the need for assessments based on local wisdom in science education to measure 21st-century skills for prospective teachers in Society 5.0. Using qualitative exploratory methods, the research involved interviews and document analysis with faculty from Universitas Islam Lamongan's Science Education Program. The findings reveal that while current assessments use diverse methods and address some 21st-century skills, they require better integration of local wisdom and consistent standards. Challenges include insufficient understanding of local wisdom integration, varied student competencies, and a lack of practical, context-driven strategies. The study recommends developing holistic assessments that incorporate local wisdom, practical experiences, and technology.
