Abstract

In general, the design of the young coconut peeler machine is to use an induction motor that still uses a manual system to turn the tool on and off, so it is not efficient in the production process of peeling young coconut. The speed of the induction motor can be adjusted by changing the frequency, therefore a Variable Speed ​​Drive (VSD) is needed which aims to regulate the rotational speed of the induction motor. As the controller of the Variable Speed ​​Drive (VSD), the compiler uses a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). From the description of the background above, a young coconut peeler based on PLC and HMI was designed. This system uses PLC control as a control for variations in the rotation speed of the motor, so that the rotation of the induction motor can be controlled as needed, in this tool an HMI system is applied which functions as an interface display from the operator to the peeler. In this study using 4 stages, namely (1) a needs survey, (2) designing (3) prototypes, (4) testing prototypes. In the trial results, the simulation of the coconut peeler design went well by using low, medium, high speed variations using the human marchine interface as the display of the variable speed button, while the PLC as the control machine.)

Abstract

Coffee is a plantation commodity that is made into a drink as one of the products that is popular with the public. Many coffee drink innovations have been made, one of which is a clear coffee drink without dregs. The process of making clear coffee can be done by the distillation method, namely the process of condensing the steam produced by a mixture of coffee powder and water. This study aims to obtain the design results of a clear coffee machine without dregs using the distillation method. The design is carried out based on the results of a patented study on making clear coffee. The coffee machine is made with a heating tube for a mixture of ground coffee and water, a steam collector tube and a distillation tube. The design results obtained a heating tube with a diameter of 25 cm and a height of 27 cm for a process capacity of 13.25 liters. Heating is performed using an LPG-fueled heater. The distillation process is carried out by cooling the water using a 15 watt aerator pump. The trial was carried out by processing 500 grams of fine coffee powder mixed with 2000 ml of water. The trial results obtained 500 ml of clear coffee with an average process time of ± 25 minutes.

Abstract

Penyaluran energi listrik sering mengalami masalah akibat rendahnya faktor daya, terutama di industri kecil atau UMKM yang menggunakan banyak beban induktif. Permasalahan ini sering diabaikan karena kapasitas daya yang kecil, padahal masih memiliki potensi besar untuk diperbaiki guna meningkatkan efisiensi energi. Studi awal pada UMKM Diva Bakery menunjukkan faktor daya rata-rata sebesar 0,70, yang tergolong rendah dan menandakan efisiensi listrik belum optimal. Pengukuran dilakukan menggunakan smart power meter IoT, yang memungkinkan pemantauan langsung dan integrasi dengan sistem Internet of Things (IoT). Data yang diperoleh digunakan untuk menganalisis faktor daya, menentukan kapasitas capacitor bank, serta mengevaluasi dampaknya terhadap efisiensi energi dan biaya listrik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor daya rata-rata berada di kisaran 0,63–0,72, menandakan kualitas daya yang masih buruk. Beban induktif seperti motor induksi menjadi penyebab utama rendahnya faktor daya. Pemasangan capacitor bank terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan efisiensi sistem kelistrikan, dengan penurunan konsumsi daya semu sebesar 35,85% dan penghematan biaya listrik Rp. 177.600,88 per bulan. Implementasi ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kualitas daya tetapi juga memberikan manfaat finansial yang signifikan dan menjanjikan dalam jangka panjang.

Abstract

Abstrak—Ada beberapa jenis limbah botol plastik yang bisa didaur ulang dengan alat sederhana, misalnya berupa sampah botol plastik tipe Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan menciptakan extruder pembentuk filamen berbasis Arduino dan mengetahui pengaruh suhu terhadap filamen yang dihasilkan. Tehnik dalam experiment menerapkan variasi tegangan dan temperatur dalam mekanisme pemanasan plastik berbentuk plat pada lubang nozzle pada heater block, Pengujian yang dilakuakan pada mesin extruder filamen menggunakan 3 variasi tegangan dan temperature suhu pemanas, diantara nya 100̊C,110̊C dan 112̊C. Hasil uji coba pada prototype extruder pembentuk filamen berhasil didapatkan bahwa semua komponen berperan sesuai fungsinya dan Suhu temperature pemanas memilikli pengaruh signifikan terhadap bentuk plastik. Ketika plastik jenis PET berbentuk persegi Panjang dicetak pada lubang nozzle dengan suhu tertentu. menghasilkan filamen berbentuk bulat. Dari Sembilan kali percobaan terjadi satu kali putus dalam penarikan plastik pada lubang nozzle pada variasi tegangan 10V dengan suhu 120 ̊C, hal itu dikarenakan kontroler pemanas pada head block kurang setabil dan penarikan plastik kurang konsisten karena masih manual

Abstract

Sensor DHT22 diharuskan aktif selama 4 hari penuh, jika dilihat dari waktu rata-rata budidaya microgreen kacang hijau menggunakan smart hydroponic. Penggunaan sensor DHT22 dalam jangka waktu tertentu dapat mempengaruhi kestabilan jangka panjang dalam hal pembacaan suhu. Jika pembacaan DHT22 mulai tidak akurat, smart system tidak mampu bekerja maksimal. Peneliti mengusulkan sebuah sistem untuk menggantikan peran sensor tanpa mengurangi atau mengganggu kinerja dari smart system untuk mengurangi ketergantungan komponen elektronika seperti sensor suhu. Seiring kemajuan teknologi, terdapat salah satu model machine learning yang dapat diterapkan untuk menggantikan peran sensor yaitu prediksi suhu melalui forecasting. Algoritma forecasting yang digunakan adalah decision tree. Algoritma ini dipilih karena mampu memprediksi data hanya dengan satu jenis input data berupa waktu dengan proses pelatihan yang cukup cepat. Data latih dihasilkan dari perekaman data selama 4 hari pada smart hydroponic microgreen kacang hijau. Model akan dibuat menggunakan grid search cross validation dan feature scaling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan channel 80 layak dipilih menjadi model prediksi. Prediksi suhu model decision tree forecasting menghasilkan nilai R-squared sebesar 0,870955 dan mean square error (MSE) sebesar 0,074171. Kedua nilai tersebut menunjukkan bahwa model cukup kuat dalam memprediksi suhu dan layak untuk diterapkan dalam memantau suhu smart hydroponic microgreen kacang hijau.

Abstract

Indonesia is the fourth coffee producer in the world after Brazil, Vietnam and Colombia. However, in the 2018-2021 period, the value of Indonesian coffee exports experienced a decline, which was in line with the low volume of Indonesian coffee exports in that year compared to the previous period, so that Indonesia's position fell from fourth to fifth as a coffee exporting country in the world. These various things could be due to the lack of downstream processing in coffee processing in Indonesia. The current problem is that there is no tool for the process of separating coffee into clear coffee, this tool is available abroad and the price is quite expensive. This research tries to make a clear coffee streamer and analyzes the production results of a clear coffee streamer. The results of the design of a clear coffee streamer tool using stainless steel material can be used with a capacity of 20 liters and a maximum heating temperature of 100oC, while testing the production capacity of the clear coffee streamer tool produces data using a material volume of 1500 ml resulting in a production volume of 850 ml in a time of 75 minutes. Meanwhile, using a volume of 200 ml of material produces 950 ml with a time of 75 minutes.

Abstract

Plant diseases and pests have led to a decline in the quality of dragon fruit produced in Banyuwangi regency, Indonesia. Infections in dragon fruit cause rot, and farmers struggle to identify the pests responsible. To address this problem, this work proposed two concepts for the classification and monitoring systems of dragon fruit. The classification was done by processing some images of dragon fruits captured by DLSR camera and utilizes a convolutional neural network with three layers for training and testing. The monitoring system is based on the Internet of Things to tracks the status of ripe, raw, and rotten fruits. The application of the dragon fruit classification system to ripe, rotten, and raw fruits has yielded results that increase fold accuracy by 0.976, 0.981, and 0.986, respectively, with 200 training data in each of the three training and testing phases. There is a decrease of 0.024, 0.019, and 0.014 in fold loss accuracy. Meanwhile, the monitoring system's platform integrates the classification of dragon fruit to monitor the condition of ripe, raw, and rotting fruit in real time. With the implementation of the classification and monitoring system, farmers will be better equipped to predict when dragon fruit will ripen and prevent the spread of rot to other fruits.
