Abstract

Republik Tani Mandiri (RTM) is group coffee farmers residing at Desa Kucur, Kab. Malang.The activity aimed to help RTM in increasing production capacity and train them to manage small business at early stage. Roasting process is the most critical process. After re-designing roasting machine and implementation, processing times reduce at 26,1%.

Abstract

This community service held at Es Puter Manufacturer Community at Kota Batu. Several activities aimed to increase production capacity and then revenue. Coconut oil extraction process is the most critical process, the longest process and determines the quality of the product. After using Coconut Oil Extractor machine, production capacity and revenue increase at least 100 %.

Abstract

The activity this community service aimed to help a small business N’Up to manage their business and increase entrepreneurial spirit. Furthermore, several activities conducted to help UMKM build their marketing strategy and optimize production process by re-locate the factory, re-layout facilities and also analyze their productivity using total productivity model. AHP Method was used to determine the new location of production process. After implementation, they have proper location and facilities and ready to sell their product by using e-commerce.

Abstract

Although considered as one of the main drivers of the national economy, SMEs are very vulnerable to business competition. Limited access to resources including knowledge resources makes SMEs constrained to develop their support system. One of the obstacles faced by SMEs today is their limited grasp to the business financial management concept. They also have a difficulty in accessing a simple financial accounting application that fit to their business conditions. The community service program implemented by the Ma Chung Abdimas Grant Team aims to improve the financial literacy of SME members of Forum Komunikasi Pelaku Usaha in Kabupaten Malang, as well as their access to computer-based financial accounting application. This program is implemented in the form of training and mentoring to improve SME’s understanding and skills in financial management. The results concluded that the training program was effective. It is able to improve financial management literacy for IKM partners.

Abstract

One of the stages of bottled drinking water production at PT X is bottle making using preform material. Preform material is made from PET (Polyethylen Terphtalate). During the production process, there are preform material rejects such as broken bottles, unstable bottle thickness, white preforms, pinched bottles, and white bottles. The total preform material rejects during January to October 2022 amounted to 0.98% or there were 234,504 pcs of preform rejects from the total production of 23,905,322 bottles. The percentage of preform material rejects is above the company standard of 0.5%, so it requires Six Sigma and FMEA methods to reduce these rejects. The proposed improvement recommendations are blowing machine operation checklist form, preform specification form for suppliers, and training schedule form. However, the recommendation that was implemented was the blowing machine operation form checklist because machine malfuction was the main factor causing preform material rejects based on FMEA analysis. The recommendation was implemented for one month in November and succeeded in reducing preform material rejects by an average of 0.86% or there were preform rejects of 298,641 pcs of preforms from a total production output of 34,599.74 bottles during January to November 2022. The final calculation after the implementation of the proposed improvements shows that there is a decrease in the DPMO value from 1961.93 to 1726.26 and an increase in the sigma level value of 4.42 sigma which was previously 4.38 sigma, from this value it shows that the sigma level has increased by 0.04 sigma.

Abstract

The study focuses on the Supporting department, responsible for producing components for assembling minibuses, including the J type. The department faces several issues, including a 60% confusion rate in component names out of the 600 components, delays and errors in component delivery spanning 4 to 16 hours, and the absence of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Addressing these challenges necessitates the development of a material order system, tackled using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Through SDLC analysis, solutions were derived, involving the creation of system programs, enhancing system flow, standardizing component names, grouping components into kits, establishing component catalogs, and formulating SOPs. This comprehensive solution was implemented at PTXYZ. The outcomes revealed significant improvements: standardization of component names among operators, administrators, and Microsoft GP, where 600 raw components were grouped into 98 packages, reducing delays to less than one working hour, meeting production schedules without delivery errors, and successful implementation of SOPs and catalogs facilitating the production process. Continuous monitoring is crucial to prevent the recurrence of delivery delays and name confusion.

Abstract

The welding department is the focus of this study. This department welds and assembles various materials from the warehouse and supporting departments into complete minibuses. Several issues exist, such as material delivery delays occurring 1-3 times per production process, material delivery errors, increased production lead time from 12-13 working days to 15-16 working days, and the lack of a clear SOP for material fulfillment. To address these issues, a material fulfillment system design is necessary, utilizing the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) analysis. The SDLC analysis suggests that solutions include grouping materials into kitting packages, developing system programs, improving system flow, and creating an SOP. These solutions can be directly implemented in the welding department's production process at PT XYZ. The implementation results show that materials needed by the welding department can be divided into seven kitting packages according to existing workstations. The new system flow reduces material delivery delays to less than one working hour, aligns production lead time with the company's target of 12-13 working days, reduces material delivery errors, and the implemented SOP aids all parties in the minibus production process. These measures must be consistently monitored to avoid disrupting the production process and to meet the company's production lead time targets.

Abstract

PT Bumi Menara Internusa Surabaya is a producer of processed frozen seafood products, which uses a lot of human resources in its production. The use of human resources in the production process is closely related to productivity which will ultimately affect work efficiency and effectiveness. PT Bumi Menara Internusa itself has many products from various types of fish, one of which is salmon. The production process for frozen salmon products has several processing stages, one of which is the filleting process. The filleting process is a process where the fish flesh is separated from the fish backbone. To determine employee productivity in the production of frozen salmon products, employee output will be recorded every hour. Based on observations, records held by the company and interviews that have been conducted, it was found that employees in the fillet section were often unable to achieve the daily output targets that had been planned and calculated by the department concerned. Therefore, research was carried out using the Taguchi method to increase the productivity of salmon fillet employees. The results of the research carried out were an increase in productivity value of 3.556.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan investasi dalam pendirian IKM ricebowl ikan tuna yang beralamat di Kelurahan Tegalgondo Kecamatan Karangploso Kabupaten Malang. Penelitian ini dilakukan di industri rumahan bernama IKM Ricebowl Ikan Tuna Suwir, yang merupakan Industri Kecil dan Menengah pengolah makanan. Terjadinya wabah Covid-19 di tahun 2020 ini mengakibatkan permintaan akan produk IKM menurun karena tempat kuliner yang menjalin kerjasama masih menutup usahanya. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Bulan Juni - Juli 2020 dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu aspek pasar dan pemasaran, aspek teknis dan produksi, aspek organisasi dan manajemen, serta aspek finansial dengan perhitungan kelayakan investasi berupa Payback Period (PP) (Present Value) usaha makanan ricebowl akan menghasilkan manfaat bersih sebesar Rp. 276.258.850. dengan umur usaha 4 tahun. Nilai IRR (Internal Rate of Return) yang diperoleh sebesar 36% > 15, 20% (IRR>DR). Nilai ini menunjukan bahwa tingkat pengembalian usaha IKM ricebowl dalam kondisi optimal. Analisis pasar dan pemasaran menunjukkan bahwa prospek IKM ricebowl ikan tuna cukup baik, dilihat dari peningkatan jumlah permintaan setiap tahun.

Abstract

Transportasi merupakan kebutuhan penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, dan minibus adalah solusi transportasi publik yang populer karena kapasitas angkut yang besar dan fleksibilitasnya. PT XYZ adalah perusahaan yang memproduksi kendaraan minibus dan bus karoseri, dengan fokus pada kualitas produksi yang tinggi. Namun, perusahaan ini menghadapi tantangan dalam mempertahankan dan meningkatkan kualitas tersebut, khususnya dalam manajemen material di departemen pendukung. Departemen ini bertanggung jawab memproduksi komponen yang kemudian dirakit di departemen lain. Ketiadaan data Bill of Material (BOM) menyebabkan berbagai hambatan dalam produksi, termasuk kesalahan pengerjaan dan administrasi keuangan, serta ketidakpastian dalam pengeluaran produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi masalah yang timbul akibat ketiadaan BOM, mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan sistem BOM yang efektif, serta meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi dalam proses produksi di PT XYZ. BOM akan menjadi referensi bagi operator dan administrasi untuk proses produksi dan pencatatan keuangan, mencakup 95 komponen barang jadi dan 513 komponen bahan mentah. Bahan mentah ini dikirim dari departemen plat, gudang komponen, dan gudang pipa, sementara barang jadi dikirimkan ke departemen pengelasan, perlengkapan, dan fiber. Dengan menerapkan BOM, diharapkan operator dapat memahami bahan yang dibutuhkan untuk produksi, dan admin keuangan dapat merekap kebutuhan setiap operator dengan lebih akurat, mengurangi kesalahan dalam perhitungan pengeluaran. PT XYZ juga harus terus mengupdate BOM setiap kali ada perubahan desain barang atau penambahan bahan mentah yang dibutuhkan. Penerapan data operation process chart (OPC) dan BOM diharapkan dapat membantu PT XYZ mengatasi masalah ini dan meningkatkan efisiensi produksi secara keseluruhan.
