Abstract

Indonesia is rich in flora diversity, especially fruit plants. One of fruit plants that is familiar to Indonesian people is the orange tree. Orange trees are annual plants originating from the Asian continent, especially India to China. In Indonesia, orange plants are diverse and have unique characteristics in the form of aroma, color and taste that are different from other fruits. The aim of this research is to describe the diversity of citrus plants (genus Citrus) in Barimbun Village, Tabalong. This research uses the line transect method. The research results found 7 types of oranges, namely, Citrus microcarpa, Citrus jambhiri, Citrus aurantifolia, Citrus gandis, Citrus hystrix, Citrus sinensis, and Citrus limon. Moreover, the abiotic factors give good value which means a suitable habitat for oranges. From this study, it may conclude that Barimbun Village, Tabalong District is a suitable habitat for orange plant because this area has enough amount of rainfall and stabil temperature.

Abstract

The world of 21st-century education requires a generation that can utilize technology and think critically. Nearpod media, which contains indicators of critical thinking skills, is a solution that is expected to increase student engagement and classroom processes. This study investigates the effect of using Nearpod media on students' learning outcomes and critical thinking skills in understanding the discussion of viruses. The quasi-experiment method was used for product cognitive research, while the descriptive approach was used for process cognitive, affective, psychomotor, and critical thinking skills research. The purposive sampling technique was applied to X A and X E students as treatment and control classes. Product cognitive data analysis was conducted using pretest and posttests, which were tested using SPSS 16. The results showed that the use of Nearpod media had a significant effect on product cognitive learning outcomes. In the virus discussion, the cognitive process of using Nearpod media reached the good category, while the affective and psychomotor aspects reached the good and very good categories. Critical thinking results showed an increase in the analysis, interpretation, and evaluation indicators; then, the inference and self-regulation indicators reached the very good category. Explanation reached the good enough category and improved during learning in the experimental class. This study confirms that using Nearpod media can improve students' learning outcomes and critical thinking skills in understanding the discussion of viruses at Islamic Senior High School. Abstrak. Dunia pendidikan abad 21 membutuhkan generasi yang mampu memanfaatkan teknologi dan berpikir kritis. media Nearpod yang memuat indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis menjadi solusi yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan proses di kelas. Penelitian ini menginvestigasi pengaruh penggunaan media Nearpod terhadap hasil belajar serta kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam memahami pembahasan virus. Metode eksperimen semu digunakan untuk penelitian kognitif produk, sementara pendekatan deskriptif digunakan untuk penelitian kognitif proses, afektif, psikomotorik, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Teknik purposive sampling diterapkan pada peserta didik X A dan X E sebagai kelas perlakuan dan kontrol. Analisis data kognitif produk dilakukan dengan pretest dan posttest yang diuji dengan SPSS 16. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media Nearpod berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar kognitif produk. Pada pembahasan virus, kognitif proses menggunakan media Nearpod mencapai kategori baik, sementara aspek afektif dan psikomotorik mencapai kategori baik dan sangat baik. Hasil kemampuan berpikir kritis menunjukkan peningkatan pada indikator analisis, interpretasi dan evaluasi, lalu indikator inferensi dan pengaturan diri mencapai kategori sangat baik. Eksplanasi mencapai kategori cukup baik dan mengalami peningkatan selama pembelajaran pada kelas eksperimen. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa penggunaan media Nearpod dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam memahami pembahasan virus di Madrasah Aliyah.

Abstract

Online learning has obstacles, including the lack of interaction between students and teachers which causes students to become bored with monotonous learning. The concept of the circulatory system is a complex material, so it requires varied teaching materials such as problem-based learning-based electronic modules that can improve mastery of sub-concepts and help students learn independently. PBL-based electronic modules can improve student learning outcomes and electronic modules can support the learning objectives to be achieved. This study aims to describe student responses to the developed electronics module. The research method used is Research and Development in the form of a 4D model consisting of the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages which are modified only until the develop stage. The subject of the response test consisted of 9 students of class XI MIPA SMAN 4 Banjarbaru. The results of the research on the developed PBL-based electronic module obtained a student response test score of 4.58 in a very positive category which indicates that the developed electronic module has a very positive impact on students.

Abstract

Udang adalah salah satu kelompok besar dari arthropoda yang memiliki tubuh yang terdiri dari  atas kepala yang menyatu dengan dadanya dan perut dengan kulit luar yang keras. Udang merupakan salah satu hewan penghuni sungai. Secara ekologi, udang memiliki peran penting bagi keseimbangan ekosistem perairan di antaranya sebagai bagian dari komponen rantai makanan  dan dijadikan sebagai mata pencaharian bagi masyarakat setempat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis udang apa saja yang berada di periaran Sungai Bagandis Kecamatan Takisuang Kabupaten Tanah Laut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif menggunakan metode pengambilam sampling secara acak di sepanjang aliran Sungai Bagandis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan sebanyak enam jenis udang yakni: Macrobrachium rosenbergii, Macrobrachium sintagense, Macrobrachium lanchestri, Metapenaeus ensis, Penaeus indicus, dan Alpheus ricardsoni.

Abstract

Students can support their learning process and, of course, acquire a variety of key creativity being one of them by using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) paradigm, besides that it is very suitable in the implementation of the independent curriculum. However, SMAN 13 Banjarmasin school has never applied this learning method in biology learning, especially virus material. This study was to find out how PjBL instruction on virus material affected the class X students at SMA Negeri 13 Banjarmasin's capacity for creative thought. The research strategy utilized is a quasi-experiment, with a control group pre-test-post-test. PjBL learning is applied in one class as an experimental class, and direct instruction learning model—a learning model that is typically implemented—is applied in the control class. The N Gain test and the Mann Whitney U test, which compares the control and experimental classes, are the analysis techniques employed. Because the level of significance was 0.001 <0.05, analysis based on hypothesis testing demonstrated that the PjBL model had a substantial impact on creative thinking skills when compared to the conventional model. The results of this research support the conclusion that applying the PjBL model significantly improves students' capacity for creatuve thinking skills, which is measured using four criteria: 1) Fluency; 2) Flexibility; 3) Originality; and 4) Elaboration.

Abstract

SMA Negeri 4 Banjarmasin terletak di perkotaan dan menghadapi tantangan dalam pembelajaran materi Perubahan Lingkungan karena keterbatasan penggunaan media elektronik dan sulitnya mengaitkan konteks nyata di sekitar siswa, serta diketahui bahwasanya guru masih memakai buku cetak dan belum pernah mengombinasikannya dengan media elektronik pada materi tersebut. Siswa juga mengungkapkan bahwasanya mereka membutuhkan bahan ajar tambahan yang mampu menunjang kegiatan belajarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji keakuratan, keterbacaan, serta kepraktisan E-Handout pada materi tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan model Plomp & Nieveen (2013) yang meliputi fase analisis, prototyping, dan penilaian, serta pengumpulan data melalui angket validasi, keterbacaan, dan kepraktisan dengan skala Likert. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan angka 90,30% (sangat valid), uji keterbacaan sebesar 77,8% (baik), dan uji kepraktisan mencapai 80,2% (praktis). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwasanya E-Handout tersebut mudah dipahami, dapat diterapkan dengan baik dalam pembelajaran, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwasanya bahan ajar yang dikembangkan layak diterapkan dalam proses belajar mengajar.

Abstract

Classroom action research was conducted in 2 cycles. This research aims to (1) improve learning outcomes through the application of quizizze based e-LKPD in class X students of SMAN 13 Banjarmasin and (2) improve critical thinking skills through the application of quizizzebased e-LKPD in class X students of SMAN 13 Banjarmasin. The sample of this study was 33 students in class X-4 SMAN 13 Banjarmasin. Data analysis techniques through four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results of this study showed an increase in product cognitive learning outcomes of students in cycle I 0.47 and in cycle II 0.98, process cognitive learning outcomes through quizizzebased e-LKPD work and poster work in cycle I obtained an average of 75.63 and 13.50, in cycle II obtained an average of 87.50 and 18.25, the results of students' critical thinking skills in cycle I obtained an average of 50.24 and in cycle II obtained an average of 80.91. The results showed an increase in cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of quizizz-based e-LKPD is effective in improving learning outcomes and critical thinking abilities of class X students on ecosystem material and environmental change through a problem-based learning model. Penelitian tindakan kelas dilaksanakan 2 siklus. Penenlitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan hasil belajar melalui penerapan e-LKPD berbasis quizizz pada peserta didik kelas X SMAN 13 Banjarmasin dan (2) meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui penerapan e-LKPD berbasis quizizz pada peserta didik kelas X SMAN 13 Banjarmasin. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 33 orang peserta didik di kelas X-4 SMAN 13 Banjarmasin. Teknik analisis data melalui empat tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif produk peserta didik pada siklus I 0,47 dan pada siklus II 0,98, hasil belajar kognitif proses melalui pengerjaan e-LKPD berbasis quizizz dan pengerjaan poster pada siklus I memperoleh rata-rata 75,63 dan 13,50, pada siklus II memperoleh rata-rata 87,50 dan 18,25, hasil kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada siklus I memperoleh rata-rata 50,24 dan pada siklus II memperoleh rata-rata 80,91. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada siklus II. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan e-LKPD berbasis quizizz efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas X pada materi ekosistem dan perubahan lingkungan melalui model pembelajaran berbasis masalah.

Abstract

The development of popular scientific books with local potential is believed to be able to support learning resources based on local potential. Popular scientific books are structured as learning resources for enrichment materials for the Zingiberidae subclass in the Phanerogamae course. Known as the ginger family, Zingiberaceae is widely used in Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia for its unique taste, ornamental appeal, and medicinal value. The purpose of this study was to describe the species diversity of Zingiberaceae in Barimbun Village, Tabalong Regency, and to describe the suitability, feasibility, and readability of the results of the development of a popular scientific book on Zingiberaceae Diversity in Barimbun Village, Tabalong Regency. The research method used is research and development (R&D) concerning the 4D development model.  Based on the research results, 7 species were obtained consisting of the genera Amomum, Alpinia, Curcuma, Zingiber, and Kaempferia. The results of the suitability test were stated to be very suitable with a value of 4.5. The results of the feasibility test were declared very feasible with a value of 4.3. The results of the readability test by students were stated to be very good with a value of 4.5.

Abstract

Currently, most teachers in schools still use textbooks which contain a lot of writing and lack of pictures, making students less interested in learning. This requires new innovations in the learning process, so it is necessary to develop teaching materials in the form of booklet which contain explanations of the material accompanied by attractive images to support the learning process in order to foster students' interest in learning. The aim of this research is to describe the suitability, appropriateness and readability of the Human Respiratory System material booklet in high school. This research and development uses a 4D model which is carried out in 4 stages, namely, 1) Define, 2) Design, 3) Develop and 4) Disseminate with the implementation stage up to Disseminate being limited to the test school. The research subjects were 3 experts and 9 students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 11 Banjarmasin. The research instrument is a questionnaire (suitability, appropriateness and readability). Data collection is carried out offline. The results of the research show that the Human Respiratory System teaching material in high school in the form of a booklet that was developed obtained an average suitability score of 4.42 which is classified as "very suitable" which means it is very suitable for the learning objectives, a suitability value of 4.50 which is classified as "very suitable ” which means that it is technically very suitable for use as teaching material and the readability.

Abstract

Twenty-first century learning demands that teachers be more creative, innovative, and collaborative, with the ability to integrate digital technology into instructional models to foster students' 6C skills: character, citizenship, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. One alternative learning resource aligned with both 21st-century competencies and the independent learning curriculum is the electronic booklet (e-booklet). This study aims to evaluate the suitability, feasibility, and readability of teaching materials in the form of an e-booklet on the subtopic of the virus replication process, designed based on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model for Grade X high school students. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model by Thiagarajan et al. (1974), which in this study was implemented up to the limited dissemination stage in a test school and through publication. Data were collected using evaluation instruments for content suitability, technical feasibility, and readability. Participants included three experts (two Biology Education lecturers from FKIP ULM and one teacher from SMAN 13 Banjarmasin) and twelve Grade XI students from SMAN 13 Banjarmasin. The results showed that the e-booklet was rated "very suitable" (score: 4.60), indicating alignment with learning objectives, language, format, and media; "very feasible" (score: 4.82), reflecting technical viability as a teaching material; and "very good" for readability (score: 4.78), showing it is easy for students to understand. These findings suggest that the developed e-booklet is a highly effective alternative to conventional teaching materials.
