Abstract

Abstract

The Ice-Cold documentary exposes Jessica Wongso's cyanide case, revealing legal irregularities and sparking critical discussion on media narratives. Prior studies highlight media’s influence on public opinion but overlook how ideology and power are embedded in narratives. This research fills that gap by analyzing their reflection in the documentary Ice Cold. This theory incorporates Islamic concepts such as istidl’af (Al-Qasas 5), musyawarah (Ali Imran 159), and khalaqah from the Prophet’s hadiths. Using qualitative discourse analysis, it explores the relationship between messages, ideology, and power. This study examines the relationship between ideology and power in the film Ice Cold, using Gill Branston and Roy Stafford’s theory and public perceptions post-release. Using media, communication, and da'wah approaches resulted in an analysis showing the power behind this case and how the social class between Jessica and Mirna can lead to public opinion. It is essential to acknowledge the possible non-neutrality of media and documentary films and the importance of critically assessing information obtained from the press. This research makes an academic contribution by expanding the study of ideology and power in the media by integrating Islamic concepts in discourse analysis. It also offers a new interdisciplinary perspective, linking communication theory, da'wah, and social representation to reveal power dynamics and ideological construction in documentary film narratives.

Research data was obtained through in-depth interviews with CPR implementers, as well as observations of social media and related service websites. The results of the research show that the DKI Jakarta Provincial PPKUKM Service, as an informative public body that has met the indicators of public information openness, has utilized digital technology in managing CPR by implementing the planning, organizing, actuating and controlling stages. CPR implementation is carried out through various digital platforms with an omni-channel approach. Abstract

This study examines how behind-the-scenes practitioners of the "azab" (divine punishment) sub-genre religious television dramas perceive da'wah (Islamic proselytizing) through television media and the role of religious preachers within it, viewed through the lens of Axel Honneth's theory of recognition. For Honneth, recognition is a fundamental human need in the process of identity and integrity formation. Conversely, misrecognition can lead to social pathologies. This misrecognition is what Lukács termed reification—the objectification of abstract values. Complex values are simplified and treated merely as tools or commodities for profit. Through Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) and in-depth interviews with those involved in the production of these dramas, the research found that while the shows are considered an effective means of da'wah and the media provides a platform for it, this recognition is superficial. Within this dynamic, spiritual values are reified into profit-oriented messages. The role of the preachers in the production serves only to provide religious legitimacy. At the same time, the content of the da'wah is subordinated to industrial interests, sacrificing the empowerment of spiritual messages.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of cyber attacks on the National Data Center (PDN) on national resilience, with a case study of the Immigration Checkpoint at Soekarno Hatta Airport. Cyber attacks on the PDN, which paralyzed the immigration system, exposed the vulnerabilities of digital infrastructure that is crucial to the continuity of public services. This study examines how disruptions to immigration services impact mobility, the economy, and the country's image. The economic impact is analyzed through potential losses due to flight delays, decreased tourism, and disruption to the supply chain. The social aspect is examined through the psychological impact on society due to uncertainty and discomfort. The weaknesses of the National Data Center (PDN) are not only understood as technical problems that disrupt administrative services, but also as issues that have a direct impact on the vital function of the Immigration Checkpoint (TPI). TPI has a strategic role in managing the flow of population migration, both Indonesian Citizens (WNI) and Foreign Citizens (WNA), who leave and enter through the country's border areas. Furthermore, this study explores how the attack affects public trust in the government's ability to protect vital data and infrastructure. The analysis of national resilience focuses on how cyber attacks can weaken the stability of the state and damage the government's ability to carry out its functions. This study emphasizes the need for investment in strengthening cybersecurity systems and increasing public awareness to minimize similar impacts in the future.
